Yunnan in Southwest China - an ideal place for cycling and hiking. By China Odyssey Tours.wmv
In July 2005, during the ethnic tour in Yunnan, the guide fell off the bike and unluckily got hurt. As the group ascended the mountain, she had to hire a sedan chair to carry her up. Our guests felt sorry for her, but they were also excited to have such a precious opportunity to play a 'sedan-chair' game and try their skills!

Beijing China Vorbidden City 4K
The Forbidden City in central Beijing was home to the Chinese emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This area owes its name because of the forbidden access for the simple population. But we went through it once and put together some masterpieces of Chinese architecture in about 3 minutes, which in no way replaces a visit on site. Noteworthy is the beautiful and clear weather, for Beijing absolutely not self-evident. The partly gilded roofs of most of the main buildings, which are decorated with yellow glazed tiles, show the symbolic color of the Chinese emperor, which is particularly beautiful in this light.

China Tours - Suzhou, China
Welcome to Suzhou, China.
A place often referred to by the locals as the Venice of the Far East.
A 2,500-year-old city which is renowned the world over for its traditional gardens, ancient canals and silk production.
In 1997 Suzhou's classic garden was designated an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
During the Ming Dynasty, the city flourished as a place of refinement, drawing an influx of the well to do. These individuals shaped the city of today by building these elegant gardens.
Developed as a synthesis of two Taoist concepts, the gardens hope to provide scenery and serenity:
The belief was that isolated meditation on nature would led one to enlightenment.
The Garden of the Master of Fishing Nets includes a lake, connecting corridors, pavilions, delicate latticework, and above all, points that frame a view, as if looking at a perfectly balanced photograph.
Your journey to Suzhou includes a tour the Silk Spinning Mill, where you learn how silk is created from the mulberry-munching silkworms. The silk produced here creates some of the finest thread used in all manner of items from fine art, clothing, and even the famous silk comforters.
Your journey continues with a visit to Tongli, a remarkably beautiful water town.
When you look at Tongli you might get a good idea of what Suzhou might have been like in the past.
Reminiscent of scenes from traditional Chinese paintings, it is complete with canals, stone bridges, and cobbled lanes. Your journey will take you on an exciting ride on a gondola. Where you will experience the charm of Tongli's waterways.
All of this, and much more is waiting for you. When you travel with China Spree.

China Trip September 2003
In the spring of 2003 China was deeply affected by the SARS epidemic. Travel was particularly impacted. To entice people back, amazing travel deals were offered. We took advantage of a week trip in September of 2003 that brought us from New York to Beijing via Air China. We visited The Great Wall The Forbidden City Tiananmen Square, and The Summer Palace, saw an acrobat show, an opera, and the traditional Peking Duck dinner. We also went to numerous shopping outlets for jade, silk and furniture. After Beijing we flew to Xian where we saw the Terracotta Soldiers and another Palace and the Wild Goose Pagoda. We finished our journey with a day and night in Shanghai. We were given courtesy upgrades to First Class on both international legs. The amazing $1100. per person price included three domestic flights, five star hotels, three meals a day and all of the tours and transfers. The most amazing trip opportunity ever, because we dared to take a risk.
Weekend In Beijing
Karim and I decide to meet up in Beijing just as I am running out of clean clothes living out of my suitcase for the past month.

China's giant pandas are considered living national treasures and are loved by not only Chinese people, but by people from around the world. In Chengdu, there are two centers dedicated to the preservation of this amazing animal. The Wolong National Nature Reserve has dedicated itself to the protection of forest ecosystems and precious wildlife like the giant pandas and the lesser panda. Besides the giant pandas on display, this reserve has approximately 100 pandas living in the wild. In this beautiful reserve, visitors can take more than just a sightseeing tour they can also witness the unique cultural aspects of the local ethnic minority groups. At the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, visitors can have their photos taken while holding the adorable Giant Panda cubs. These two centers are not only an ideal paradise for wildlife, but also the perfect places for visitors to go see these adorable creatures, relax together, and learn more about the world around them.
