Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
As promised I went to Kyoto, unfortunately taifun came same weekend. I spent whole day soaking in the rain and took several videos but because of multiple problems I decided to go home same day. Osaka and Nara will be some other weekend.

Sagano Bamboo Forest – Kyoto, Japan
The Sagano Bamboo Forest is around 30 minutes from Kyoto by train. While you are here, you feel the feeling of leaving the vestiges of old Japan to here and there, trying to protect it. It can be visited on foot from the city of Arashiyama. If visitors can find a time to visit the bamboo forest when it is relatively empty the combination of visual beauty and auditory calm may be one of a kind. There is no word however on how the place smells.

2). Information on how to get to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto by JR train from Kyoto Station,

4). Things to see and do at Kyoto Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, and
6). Travel tips for visiting Arashiyama Bamboo Grove or Kyoto Bamboo Forest in Kyoto.
Brief transcript below:
In this Arashiyama Bamboo Grove travel guide, we show you how to get Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto, what to do, and offer up tips from our own experiences for your visit to the natural wonder of the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in kyoto.
We took the JR Sanin Main Line also known as the Sagano line from Kyoto Station to Arashiyama and alighted at Saga-Arashiyama Station
From Saga-Arashiyama Station we walked about 5-10 minute to the entrance of the bamboo garden. There will be signs showing the way to the bamboo forest on the floor of the streets in Japanese and English.
Usually there will be lots of people walking towards the Bamboo Forest entrance, so it makes it easier to identify and walk up the stone pathway. In the alley there will be a few shops selling Japanese souvenirs and food.
Keep walking up this alley and it will lead you into the Bamboo forest Entrance.
Bamboo is considered a symbol of strength and a forest of them wards off evil spirits which is why this bamboo forest has at one end Tenryu-ji Temple.
At the other end of the Bamboo Forest is Okochi-Sanso Villa (open daily, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., admission 1,000 yen), a home that was owned by a very famous Japanese silent film star Denjiro Okochi.
Strolling though the bamboo forest is free and can be done any time of the day or night as it is open 24 hours a day. Of course if you want some great pictures the day time is recommended.
Wear good shoes if you plan to walk and make sure your camera works for some awesome pictures among these tall bamboo forests.
Along the pathway you can visit the Nonomiya shrine and temple.
This Nonomiya Temple and Shrine had a special historical role in preparing imperial princesses to serve as vestal virgins at the Grand Shrine of Ise, Japan's most important Shinto shrine.
The skinny towering bamboos sway in the wind and the rustling of its leaves lends to a zen atmosphere. The bamboo trees are so close that the leaves rustling in the wind coordinate to make a peaceful melody.
The bamboos grow densely only letting sunshine filter as the leaves are rocked by the wind which set up the stage for beautiful photos.
Come early so its is less crowded for better shots. After all Arashiyama Bamboo forest is one of the most photographed sites in the world.
Combine your visit to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest with other attractions in the area like the traditional cormorant fishing practiced along the Hozu River, the Tenryuji Temple, and the train ride.

Sagano Bamboo Forest
Our first full day in Koyoto we went to go see the beautiful Bamboo Forest in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan. It's easily one of the most beautiful groves I've ever seen. The Ichitanimunakata Shrine is also there. It was a nice downhill walk to the Katsura river.
WOW! Ang ganda. (Walking around Arashiyama bamboo grove in Kyoto, Japan)

Bamboo Forest Japan - Arashiyama (Sagano) Kyoto
The Bamboo Forest is a beautiful site in Arashiyama, Kyoto, Japan.
While in Kyoto, I took a subway ride over to Arashiyama to check out it out. Turns out I wasn't the only one with that idea. There were lots of tourists there busy taking pictures. So, it was pretty entertaining watching people attempt to get that perfect shot of just them standing in grove alone. It happened, just took some a while.
But, besides it being fairly busy, walking between the gigantic stalks of bamboo was unlike anything I've ever done. I was amazed at how huge they were (never knew what they could grow that tall) and how beautiful the forest was.
Definitely worth checking out!

Amazing Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto
About a 30-minute train ride from Kyoto is the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest or Sagano Bamboo Forest. Considered one of Kyoto’s top sights, the bamboo grove is one of the most photographed sights in the city. But no picture can capture the feeling of standing in the middle of this sprawling forest. As you walk along the path surrounded by soaring stalks of bamboo on both sides, you get the feeling that you’re in another world. You can access the forest directly from the main street of Arashiyama but it’s best paired with a visit to Tenryu-ji Temple.

Arashiyama, Kyoto, Bamboo Forest & North into the mountains | Japan Vlog #4
We visited Arashiyama, Kyoto for the first time & it was beautiful! We caught the train from Osaka Station to Katsura station, then changed lines to Arashiyama, It is surprisingly easy to get around. We went for a walk around the town & then headed into Bamboo Forest. We didn't spend too long there, but it was nice to walk through and enjoy the beauty of the forest. Afterwards, we started walking further North out of the tourist area & into the suburbs which had more secluded areas.
