Pretty Russian Girl Sings BISAYA Song Bisan Pa w/David DiMuzio
What other Bisaya songs would you like for Anna & I to record? Let us know in the comments below... Daghang salamat sa inyong tanan! SUBSCRIBE NOW: Watch David's Popular Filipino Songs playlist:
Many of my best friends in the Philippines and around the world are Bisaya. My best friend Carlo is Bisaya (from Iligan) and even the photographer who shot my 2nd album cover; Rennan Quijano is Bisaya.
This song was originally written and recorded by the Cebuano band Wet Slipperz.
There are many great Bisaya songs ...I love Chinita, Bisan Pa, Usahay, Gugmang Gi-atay ...etc. ...there should really be more famous Bisaya songs ...I mean, why not? ...many talented musicians in the Philippines are Bisaya ...and that's their native language but they still write only Tagalog songs. If the market was bigger I'm sure they'd write Bisaya songs as well :) ...so it's one of my new goals to help promote Bisaya songs, as well as the great songs of other dialects of the Philippines as well. I've done covers of hundreds of Tagalog songs and I love Tagalog, but I'm also excited about branching out into this new musical and cultural territory. ...I welcome you along on my quest :)
Big thanks to my duet partner in this song Anna Rabtsun from Russia for being brave enough to try singing in a new language when I suggested we cover this song. I think she did a great job!

English Translation by Sophia Lorene: I. Forgetting you is not easy. Until now I'm still waiting For our yesterday to come back Even if you've already forgotten me.
Chorus: Even if you have someone else now You're still the one I love Even if I'll only get hurt As long as you're happy, I'll accept everything
II. I see your situation now It's really different when you were with me In his side you're so happy And here I am hoping for you to come back
Bridge: Until now I'm still hoping That time will come that you'll come back

RESTRICTIONS: Broadcast: NO USE JAPAN, NO USE TAIWAN Digital: NO USE JAPAN, NO USE TAIWAN China has ambitious plans to build the first ever solar power station in space.
China's Science and Technology Daily reports the country is planning to build a solar power station that would orbit the earth at a distance of 36,000 kilometers.
The newspaper quotes Li Ming, vice-president of The China Academy of Space Technology, as saying in 2017 that China has the potential to become the first country to build a solar power station with practical value in space if it continues to increase development at its current speed.
Pang Zhihao, a researcher from the China Academy of Space Technology, told the newspaper the solar station would be able to draw energy from the sun without any interference from earth's atmosphere.
Pang said the orbital power plant would be able to provide a stable supply of energy back to earth up to 99 percent of the time, at six times the intensity of regular solar farms.
The scientists are expected to build a small to medium-sized solar power station and launch it to the stratosphere between 2021 and 2025, according to Science and Technology Daily.
Pang said the team is also contemplating whether to use robots and 3D printing technology to build the power station in space, as its weight could exceed 1,000 tonnes.

How To Spot and Avoid Bootleg Figures and Why
Definition of bootlegs:
Items (dvd/cds/other goods) produced for sale from companies that do not legally hold the copyrights authority to produce these. In instances when the Anime/Asian drama series were produced by companies outside of their country of origin, the manufacturer must hold a legally binding agreement with the original producer of the series. I think it may be a good idea to use a lot of that info on that live journal to pass out as an information guide to those participating to help educate about bootlegs.
Official products in Japan are nearly all released in limited quantities and can double, triple and even quadruple in value within 6 months of their release. Only a certain amount of figures are made from each mould, which is why there price goes up so fast, and is also the reason why the figure you like seems to be out of stock everywhere you look.
Some companies have started to use licensing marks to help in the fight against fakes. Usually this is a holographic or colored square with the company or series details in it. Toei Animation for example use a gold sticker with their Puss in Boots mascot on it, whilst Studio Ghibli use a round green and white sticker depicting the smallest of the Totoro from the film My Neighbour Totoro
HOW TO LOOK FOR FAKES
Quality So what are the main differences? Fake toys are by and large poorer in quality and even in rare cases poisonous materials are used in paints or plastics. There are different levels of fakes, the higher the price the better the quality of the fake. Telltale signs of fakes are poor painting, bad molding, warped or ill-fitting parts and incorrect details or painting colors. Basically, the official companies know what the characters look like, and they won’t get something like the color of a character’s clothing or the number of markings on Totoro’s chest wrong. Suffice to say, official products are higher in quality than fakes and are put through rigorous health and safety checks.
Price Genuine goods are expensive to buy and import from Japan due to shipping and tax. For example, take the Sailor Moon box sets. When the first 2 seasons were originally released by ADV, they ran around $100 per box set for each season from Best Buy. Now, the real ones still run in that neighborhood of $100 and can sometimes climb as high as $200 per season 1 or 2. Seasons 3 and 4 were released in box sets by a different company, Pioneer/Geneon. They first came out as singles and then later as a thin pack box set. The number of discs did not change between the singles compared to the box sets. Season 5 was never distributed in the US and can only be gotten from Japan. over 90% of the Sailor Moon Sailor Stars box sets are bootlegs from Hong Kong. If they have region 2 coding on them, they are the originals from Japan. Much of the artwork from the 3rd season, S (super) has been used on the knockoff box sets. You can sometimes get the bootlegs with all 200 episodes, 3 movies, and the few specials all for around $80-$150, but the quality is not that great nor is the subtitling.
Packaging They don’t just fake the goods themselves; they fake the box, the instructions and the tags. Some are done really well because they are copied from the originals, some are poor and are written by non-Japanese with only a basic understanding of Hiragana and Katakana. Only Japanese natives and people who can read the Japanese language can notice inconsistencies.
Fortunately there are others ways to tell the difference, official goods are known for their high quality packages, you can check the quality of the printing of the pictures on the box and are the photographs sharp and in focus. Look for bad printing and blurry text and also colors that don’t match to what the original characters usually wear in your favorite anime. Most genuine merchandise color the figures clothing exactly the same as in the anime itself in the box art. Also the boxes that have been faked are more than likely to be a lot thinner then the originals.
Japan always produces its figures and packaging in China, so for fake companies getting all the information they need is quite simple. What they can’t do however is put on a seal or official authenticity sticker.
Many eBay accounts and shops from China, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan sell fake goods. It’s not to say that all do but you really need to take extra care if you are dealing with anime sellers from these places. Use caution when purchasing from ANY online shop/retailer, including Amazon.

The Cinema of China is one of three distinct historical threads of Chinese-language cinema together with the Cinema of Hong Kong and the Cinema of Taiwan. Cinema was introduced in China in 1896 and the first Chinese film, The Battle of Dingjunshan, was made in 1905, with the film industry being centered on Shanghai in the first decades. The first sound film, Sing-Song Girl Red Peony, using the sound-on-disc technology, was made in 1931. The 1930s, considered the first golden period of Chinese cinema, saw the advent of the Leftist cinematic movement and the dispute between Nationalists and Communists was reflected in the films produced. After the Japanese invasion of China and the occupation of Shanghai, the industry in the city was severely curtailed, with filmmakers moving to Hong Kong, Chongqing and other places, starting a Solitary Island period in Shanghai, referring to the city's foreign concessions, with the remaining filmmakers working there. Princess Iron Fan, the first Chinese animated feature film, was released at the end of this period. It influenced wartime Japanese animation and later Tezuka Osamu. After being completely engulfed by the occupation in 1941, and until the end of the war in 1945, the film industry in the city was under Japanese control.

Tsai Chin - Qiu Jin 秋瑾蔡琴 1981
Thank you Tsai Chin so much for introducing me to Qiu Jin and all that she stood for. What an absolute privilege it has been to discover Qiu Jin, Wang Zhaojun and others during my journey into Chinese Music and Culture. Tsai Chin recorded this song in 1981, at which time, only Doe Ching's 1953 film starring Li Lihua had documented her life on screen. Since then, Shanghai Film Studio produced Qiu Jin: A Revolutionary in 1983, starring Xiuming Li as Qiu Jin. In 1984, Qiu Jin: A Woman to Remember followed, a Hong Kong TV Series, starring Lisa Wang as Qiu Jin.
Recently, two major tributes have emerged. In 2009, Autumn Gem (the literal meaning of Qiu Jin) became the first documentary feature on Qiu Jin in the U.S, starring Li Jing. In 2011, The Woman Knight of Mirror Lake featured Yi Huang as Qiu Jin in a Herman Yau directed epic film. I decided to forego putting Tsai's lyrics in the video because her voice and the images of Qiu Jin need no 'distraction'. You can find the mandarin, pinyin, and English lyrics at the end of this section.
Some Details of Qiu Jin's life. Qiu Jin was born in Xiamen, Fujian, and grew up in her ancestral home, Shanyin Village, Shaoxing, Zhejiang. Her family was moderately wealthy, and she received a good education. She was particularly interested in literature, horseback riding and sword performing. At the age of 21, she had an arranged marriage to Wang Tingjun, the son of a wealthy merchant, and had two children, Wang Yuande, and Wang Guifen. She became extremely unhappy in her marriage, and her poetry-writing became her solace.
In 1903, she moved with her husband to Beijing where he had purchased an official post. Here, Qiu Jin started reading feminist writings and became interested in women's education. She finally left her husband in 1903, to study in Japan. She became vocal in her support for women's rights, calling for improved access to education for women, and the abolition of the practice of foot-binding on women. At the time it was still customary for women in China to have their feet bound at the age of five, leaving their freedom of movement severely restricted and becoming dependent on men!
Qiu Jin returned to China in 1905, and joined the Triads, an underground society who advocated for the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty. In 1906, she started a feminist newspaper called Chinese Women, encouraging women to train for work and become financially independent. In 1907 she became head of the Datong school for sport teachers in Shaoxing, but which was really intended for the military training of revolutionaries. Qiu and her cousin, Hsu His-lin, began working together to unify the various secret revolutionary groups in order to overthrow the Manchu government.
On July 12, 1907, the authorities arrested Qiu Jin at her school. She was tortured but refused to admit her involvement in activities. She was convicted on the evidence of two of her revolutionary poems - and a few days later she was publicly beheaded in her home village, Shanyin, at the age of 31. Qiu Jin was acknowledged immediately by the revolutionaries as a heroine, and thus became the first female martyr of the 1911 Revolution that followed. She was the first to attempt to educate, mobilise and emancipate Chinese women as a group, and single-handedly brought the notion of women's rights to national attention, without any movement behind her. She is buried beside West Lake in Hangzhou.

Number 10. Takasugi-an, Japan Terunobu Fujimori is a Japanese architect and architectural historian. This structure is a tea house in Nagano that was designed by an architect for his own use. Built and attached at the top of two chestnut trees, this is a single room made of plaster and bamboo. What makes it dangerous, perhaps, is the way it can be enjoyed since access is via a free standing ladder that must be supported by the trunk as a person climbs up.
Number 9. Puerta de Europa, Spain Also known as “Gate of Europe”, this structure located in Madrid, Spain is actually two buildings that can be likened to the Leaning Tower of Pisa since these two structure lean towards each other with an incline of 15 degrees. These two buildings stand at 374 feet and have 26 floors each.
Number 8. Hanging Temple, China Built during the reignof the Northern Wei Dynasty over 1,400 years ago, this temple is the only one that is used as a place of worship for followers of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. This hanging temple is at a height of 246 feet at the base of Mount Heng, Datong City, Shanxi.
Number 7. Lichtenstein Castle, Germany With an average height of 817 meters, this stone castle was built on the side of a cliff. Other structures were built on the same spot almost six centuries before this castle was built in 1840 but were destroyed. Neo-gothic design was incorporated to its architecture.
Number 6. Tower Astra, Germany With its age and make, this structure in Europe is considered as one of the most dangerous buildings in the world. Constructed in the 13th century, the spire of this church tower is made of oak and has a height of 27.43 meters. Located in Hamburg, Germany, the spire was built to the existent structure in 1450. It became unstable and started to bend due to
humidity.
Number 5. WoZoCo Apartments, Amsterdam Also called “Oklahoma”, this building consists of 100 units or houses intended for the elderly people. What makes it interesting is its design. It has units protruding from its rectangular structure that look like they are suspended in the air.
Number 4. Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy Built as a free-standing bell tower of the church in the city of Pisa, this 14,500 ton tower is considered an architectural mistake because of the settling of its foundations. The tower is leaning at 3.99 degrees. Built in an unstable soil, restorations have been done to stabilize the structure.
Number 3. Capital Gate, United Arab Emirates Standing at 160 meters tall, this iconic leaning structure is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Considered as one of the tallest skyscrapers in the city, this was built in 2007. Losing one’s balance from the top will definitely be a bad fate.
Number 2. Meteora Monasteries, Greece Considered to be the most important group of monasteries in Greece, six of the original monasteries still exist and included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. Built on Meteora, a formation of monolithic pillars and hills, these monasteries date back to the 11th century.
Number 1. Sutyagin House, Russia Located in Archangel, Russia, this wooden log cabin is considered the tallest of its kind. Built in wood, this structure has 13 storeys and is 144 feet. Not only is it unfinished, it was also built by a known gangster. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All images and informations in this video collected from internet.
