Traditionally, banks and other financial institutions sell their own products. However, competitive mortgage have made the role of the mortgage broker more popular. In well developed mortgage markets, mortgage brokers are the largest sellers of mortgage financial products for lenders. A mortgage broker acts as an conduit who brokers or helps clients qualify for mortgage loan products on behalf of individuals or businesses.
The role of the Mortgage functions to find a bank or a direct lender that an individual seeks with a specific loan product that the individual is seeking.
Mortgage Brokers in the United States are regulated to ensure compliance with banking and or finance laws in the jurisdiction of the consumer through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
The major difference between a mortgage broker and a loan officer is that a mortgage broker works as an intermediary between the buyer and the lender, whereas the loan officer typically works directly for the lender.

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue FULL SHOW - Fort Wilderness Campgrounds - Walt Disney World, Florida
The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is one of the most popular dinner shows at the Walt Disney World Resort. Located in Pioneer Hall at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is performed three times a night, seven days a week at 5:00, 7:15, and 9:00 pm. As with many other advanced dining reservations (ADR), guests call months in advance for one of the coveted seats and there is almost always a cancellation line at each show.
Ron Miziker, who was the creator of many classic pieces of entertainment for the Walt Disney World Resort and was involved in every new show at the Resort, was one the creators and writers of the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.
According to D23, in 1973, shortly before the Hoop Dee Doo was created, the Star Spangled Washboard Band, a New York-based group of country-western musicians, began performing at Pioneer Hall. During the time the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue was being planned, written, and readied for Pioneer Hall.
Walt Disney World started auditioning college students from the summer intern program - the Disney/CalArts Work Experience. The Disney/CalArts Work Experinece was an 11-week work experience program in entertainment that involved both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
During this time auditions were for the three female and three male character performers. Those roles were: Six Bits Slocum and Dolly Drew (comic relief), Jim Handy and Flora Long (the singers), and Johnny Ringo and Claire de Lune (the dancers).
According to Ron, the script for the Hoop Dee Doo was a collaborative effort. The writers, as with many Disney shows and productions, tried to incorporate something that was a nod to the Disney legacy. In the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue it was Davy Crockett. Davy was woven with bear puns and jokes.
THE MUSIC
The principle songwriter was Tom Adair. Tom’s first work with Disney was in the fall of 1954. In 1956 his first big project was to write words for George Bruns' score for Sleeping Beauty. When the Mickey Mouse Club started production, he wrote a few songs for the first season, collaborating mostly with Jimmie Dodd.
Over the years Tom picked up enough music theory from his many associates to try handling some composing. His work can be heard on The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show, then Hazel and The Ann Sothern Show. While working on the latter he met writer James B. Allardice, with whom he formed his newest partnership. Together they wrote scripts for some of the most popular television sitcoms including My Three Sons, I Dream of Jeanie, Gomer Pyle, The Munsters, Maude, and, F Troop. He also wrote Annette Funicello's first hit record, How Will I Know My Love?
Most of the songs in the show are parodies of actual songs previously recorded by top artists. One of those songs is the opening song of the show – “Hoop Dee Doo.” The song, written by Milton De Lugg and Frank Loesser, was first recorded by Perry Como in March of 1950 on RCA Victor Records.
Most of the Hoop Dee Doo song's original music score was kept, but the words were changed to suit the show. And it is typically the song that you will hear most of the guests humming or singing on the way out of Pioneer Hall.
Another popular song in the show is the “All-State Song.” According to D23, two years earlier, a tune called the All-State Song, was written for an unproduced Magic Kingdom live experience in Frontierland. The song was resurrected for the Hoop Dee Doo show.
The “All-State Song,” which was a take-off of the American Folk song, “She’ll Be Coming Around The Mountain,” written in the 1800’s, was written with a verse for every state in the U.S. as well as verses for some of the more visited foreign countries including Canada. Each performer was given a set amount of states / countries and they memorized those verses. The way it worked was when all the performers moved into the audience and talked with the guests – they would indentify a guest and mention their state to the crowd.
THE FOOD
The salad course, along with the cornbread, is pre-set on the table. When the players come bursting through they get the show started and continue until the main courses are ready to be served. At that time the servers come through the dining room – literally slamming small metal kettles of fried chicken, smoked barbecued pork ribs, mashed potatoes, and country-style baked beans not on your table but right down on your plates. For dessert, originally it was apple pie, but now the Pioneer Hall Players not only introduce the dessert – strawberry shortcake – but the servers come parading off the stage with the dessert to the tables.

The Sidewalks of New York: The Documentary (CC)
This film is a documentary that begins with the tale of the famous tune and builds every moment toward the fascinating story behind Governor Al Smith, the most forgotten historical figure in American history. The elections of 1924 and 1928 are featured prominently in the story's second half, and along the way a handful of songs from the same time period are played to portray that, while this film is somewhat about the tune 'The Sidewalks of New York', the other songs do their part to lift up and bring the story home, all joining together to complete one of the most inspiring tales in New York history.
To watch with music at a slightly lower volume:

- Angel Guastaferro performed Pretty Jennie Slattery on piano
- Al Smith's wife Catherine, known as Katie, died several months before Al did, not just one week

--------------------------
Burton Leon ‘Burt’ Reynolds, Jr. was an American actor, director, producer, voice artist, ex-restaurant owner and an ex-sports team owner. He was born and brought up in Michigan and had a police chief officer for a father. He went to the Palm Beach High School and Florida State University where he played college professional football and dreamt of pursuing it further but could not see it through as he suffered from serious injuries twice during his youth. He instead went to the Palm Beach Junior, thinking that he will follow his father’s profession. But his acting skills were recognized there and he got a scholarship to work at a theatre in New York. From there onwards he strived and got himself a series of plays, television shows and movies. He was best known for his movies ‘Deliverance’, ‘Smokey and the Bandit’ and ‘Boggie Nights’. Reynolds was winner of an Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award and was nominated for the Academy Award for his supporting role in ‘Boggie Nights’. His immense talent earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was linked with many actresses romantically throughout his acting career and was married twice.
Childhood & Early Life
Burt Reynolds was born in Lansing, Michigan, to Burton Milo Reynolds, Sr. and Fern H. Reynolds. His father was a police chief of Riviera Beach and had also served in the US Army.
Reynolds studied at Palm Beach High School and after that attended the Florida State University on a college football scholarship.
He wanted to become a professional footballer but in the first season he was injured and had another injury in a car accident. This ended his hopes for a football career and after that he thought of becoming a police officer.
He went to the Palm Beach Junior in Lake Worth and it was there that one of his teachers asked him to take part in a play ‘Outward Bound’. He won a Florida State Drama Award for it.
------------------
Career
After getting his initial award in acting, Reynolds got a scholarship to work in Hyde Park Playhouse, a summer stock theatre, New York. He met with Joanne Woodward there who helped him finding an agent.
In 1953, he was cast in a play called ‘Tea and Sympathy’ at Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. He was critically appreciated for his performance and went on a tour to perform the play in various parts of the country.
In 1957, he got a part in the play ‘Mister Roberts’. His performance fetched him an audition for a movie called ‘Sayonara’. He was rejected for the role and was told to go and try in the Hollywood.
From 1959 to 1961, he starred in a television series ‘Riverboat’, an NBC series. He worked with Darren McGavin in it. This was offered to him right after he made his Broadway debut with ‘Look, We’ve Come Through’.
In 1959, Reynolds did an episode, ‘The Payoff’, in the television series called ‘The Lawless Years’ which was a crime drama. His character was called ‘Tony Sapio’ and he starred opposite Ruta Lee.
Until 1961, he appeared in episodes of various TV shows like: ‘Pony Express’, ‘The Brothers Brannagan’, ‘The Everglades’, ‘Gunsmoke’, ‘Perry Mason’, ‘The Twilight Zone’, ’12 O-Clock High’, etc.
In 1961, Reynolds acted in his first movie called ‘Angel Baby’. After this movie, he was advised by his good friend and actor Clint Eastwood to act in low-budget movies that are made overseas and he did ‘Navajo Joe’.
Around this time, while he was acting in the low-budget foreign movies, Reynolds worked on two cop television shows called ‘Hawk’ and ‘Dan August’. But he was not happy with the limited creative scope of these shows.
In 1972, his breakthrough movie ‘Deliverance’ was released. It was an American Thriller movie directed by John Boorman, based on a novel written by American writer James Dickey, who also did a small role in the movie.
In 1973, he pursued his singing talent and came out with an album called ‘Ask Me What I Am’ and also sang a duet with Dolly Parton in ‘The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas’.
In 1977, Reynolds starred in the movie ‘Smokey and the Bandit’, along with Jerry Reed, Sally Field and Jackie Gleason. In the same year he turned down an offer to act in ‘Star Wars’.
In 1989, he starred in a successful venture called ‘Physical Evidence’, which was a much relief for him from the stereotypical and unsuccessful movies that he was offered after the success of ‘Smokey and the Bandit’.

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 31, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
A crucial vote is anticipated Jan. 31 on whether to call witnesses in the Trump impeachment trial, including former national security adviser John Bolton. In a manuscript of his new book, Bolton reportedly says that Trump directly tied the holdup of nearly $400 million in military assistance to Ukraine to investigations of the Bidens.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

We''ve made incredible mistakes throughout the whole process, and we didn''t realise some of the responsibilities that we have today and I think the biggest one is with the 9/11 families, I think that''s the biggest mistake that we made. And the second, just as equal of a mistake that we made, is we did not really connect with the local and the national Muslim leaders and the community leaders and the activists. And those were probably the two biggest mistakes that we made.

I wouldn''t have the exhibit here if I didn''t feel like it was an appropriate place. So I think, whether it''s a neutral space, whether it''s a place that''s a little bit charged like this, I''m not going to put seven years of work into a space that I don''t feel comfortable exhibiting in. So I don''t know what more I can do or say to demonstrate, you know, how I feel about walking through the doors of this place.

STORYLINE:
The Park51 Islamic community centre, at 51 Park Place, situated near Ground Zero in New York City where the twin towers of the World Trade Centre once stood, opened to the public on Wednesday night.
The developer of the centre, said the biggest mistake of the project was not involving the families of 9/11 victims from the start.
We made incredible mistakes, the centre''s developer Sharif El-Gamal said in an interview in his Manhattan office.
The project has drawn criticism from opponents who have said they don''t want a Muslim prayer space near the site of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The mosque, which is part of the centre has been open for the past two years and was especially needed in lower Manhattan, El-Gamal said, because many Muslim people work or live in the neighbourhood.
He said besides failing to hold dialogue with the families of 9/11 victims there have been problems with the centre from the start.
We did not really connect with the local and the national Muslim leaders and the community leaders and the activists.
El-Gamal said fundraising is under way to complete the 15-storey building, which will also include a theatre, educational programmes, a pool and a restaurant.
He said the centre is open for people of all faiths and will include a 9/11 memorial.
The inaugural exhibition at the centre is of photographs taken by Danny Goldfield featuring images of 170 children, who live in New York City, and are from 170 different countries.
Goldfield said he is happy to exhibit his photographs in the space.

Westinghouse: The Life & Time of an American Icon
Westinghouse is a feature-length documentary about the life and times of George Westinghouse, his companies, legacy, personality, partnership with Nikola Tesla, and conflict with Thomas Edison. George Westinghouse is considered America’s greatest industrialist and the only man who would go up against Thomas Edison, and win.

His victory over Edison during the Battle of the Currents set the stage for the entire future of electric power. The Westinghouse air brake is considered one of the most important inventions in history. Automobile shock absorbers, railroad signaling and the modern day weekend all owe their existence to the man who Andrew Carnegie called, “A genius who can’t be downed.” Westinghouse may be most famous for the massive companies that he created, but the man called “Uncle George” was a reserved creative giant who went out of his way to treat his workforce with dignity and respect. He was an honest millionaire in the days of robber barons, an optimist in the days of skeptics, and a generous CEO from whom today’s executives can learn.
Narrated by Emmy award winner Carol Lee Espy, a TV/radio host for KDKA Radio, which was the first commercial radio station in the country. Originally owned by Westinghouse until the company’s merger with CBS in 1996, the station made history by airing their first broadcast from the Westinghouse Building in East Pittsburgh in 1920. Carol is also a singer, songwriter, and producer whose voice can be heard on national PBS productions. In 2001 she helped to launch “On Q”, a news magazine at WQED Multimedia in Pittsburgh, and became the voice of WQED. Since then Espy has won two Mid-Atlantic Emmys for her writing and producing and seven nominations for writing/producing and music composition.
Theater Talk: “Allegiance” – A New American Musical
We focus on “Allegiance,” a new American musical about the internment of Japanese-American citizens during World War II. Our guests are the show's director Stafford Arima, actors Telly Leung and Lea Salonga, and George Takei whose childhood experience in the internment camps inspired this historically-based Broadway show.
Taped: 10-23-15
Theater Talk is a series devoted to the world of the stage. It began on New York television in 1993 and is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins.
The program is one of the few independent productions on PBS and now airs weekly on Thirteen/WNET in New York and WGBH in Boston. Now, CUNY TV offers New York City viewers additional opportunities to catch each week's show. (Of course, Theater Talk is no stranger to CUNY TV, since the show is taped here each week before its first airing on Thirteen/WNET.)
The series is produced by Theater Talk Productions, a not-for-profit corporation and is funded by contributions from private foundations and individuals, as well as The New York State Council on the Arts.
