The 15th arrondissement of Paris is really big, borders the Seine, and has some great shots of the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty to name a few - as well as the Ballon Generali which I fully intend to ride someday.

A Walk Around the 15th Arrondissement of Paris
The 15th arrondissement of Paris (XVe arrondissement) is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is referred to as quinzième.
The arrondissement, called Vaugirard, is situated on the left bank of the River Seine. Sharing the Montparnasse district with the 6th and 14th arrondissements, it is the city's most populous arrondissement. The Tour Montparnasse – the tallest skyscraper in Paris – and the neighbouring Gare Montparnasse are both located in the 15th arrondissement, at its border with the 14th. It is also home to the convention center Paris expo Porte de Versailles and the high-rise district of the Front de Seine (or Beaugrenelle). In 2020, the 180 meters high Tour Triangle will house a 120-room hotel and 70,000 square metres of office space.

The 15th arrondissement is a very large district with tons of nice stores and parks to visit. One thing most visitors might not know is the giatn helium balloon stationed in the Parc d'Andre Citroen. Watch as we discover the 15th arrondissement!

A Sunday Drive in the 15th Arrondissement of Paris, France

The 15th used to be grungy -- even dangerous. There were car factories here, meat markets and slaughterhouses, warehouses. Now, it is quite chic.
This part of Paris is now served by a tramway, the 3 line. Buy your métro/bus/tramway tickets in ten-packs (carnets) in métro stations and tobacco shops for a huge savings.
Those tourist transit passes are way overpriced.
I've had quite a few jobs in the 15th and hated it. It's a big arrondissement, to the South of Paris, and it always took me at least an hour or two to get to work. I can be in Brussels, Belgium in less time than I can get to the 15th via public transportation from where I live in Saint-Denis, just to the North of Paris! Feh.
Much of Paris is closed on Sundays, but it's a special day for people. On Sundays, pastry is eaten, and an outing happens in the afternoon, even if it's just a walk in one of the many city parks. Sunday lunches can last up to four hours and are very convivial. The French tend to eat light but Sunday lunches, anything goes. Often lots of alcohol, too. Always bring flowers when you visit anyone in France. They can be cheap ones. Never bring wine -- that's an insult to the host or hostess and implies they don't have enough to serve. What you bring is also not likely to go with what is being served!
Cars are discouraged now in Paris but parking is free on Sundays. (Saturdays, too, I think, but Paris is very busy then with shoppers.)
Oddly, many restaurants in Paris are closed on Sundays, as it is more a family/friends lunch day.

Petite Ceinture -- 15th Arrondissement, Paris FRANCE
This is a new park which just opened in August, 2013 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. It will be extended soon but quite a long segment is accessible now (including by lift/elevator). The petite ceinture (little belt) was a ring railraod for both passengers and freight built during the Second Empire period in France in the 19th century. It was actively in use until 1934 and even up until about 15-30 years ago, parts of it were opened for special events and sections of it were used in conjunction with the métro system for overflow train manoeuvres and storage. It's been closed off to the public, however, so that's over 30 kilometers of track just wasted space.
Local flora and fauna are being encouraged here and it's primarily for walking in. People who want to run here or ride bikes have other places to do that in the city. I saw local workers enjoying their lunches al fresco but there was not a lot of seating provided. You do get very unusual, expansive views of Paris not typically found, due to all the buildings. You also see a variety of architecture and there are educational steles here and there. It's extremely pleasant and closes at night. You'll have to look on a very NEW map for access points because this really is all completely new. It's already quite a plus for residents and something free and fun to do for visitors. Now, rather than walking in the streets, you can walk on the old train line -- it's a functional alternative for foot traffic.

Petite Ceinture Park in the 15th Arrondissement of Paris, France
If I understood my Parisian spouse correctly, this park is new and was inaugurated only last weekend. The petite ceinture (little belt) was a circular train line around Paris built during the Second Empire period of the 19th century. It was used for passengers and freight, and here in the 15th arrondissement served many factories.
This park has bike and running/walking alleys, wildflowers and encouragement of local fauna such as birds, toads and beetles, and it closes at night but seemed a safe place to wander during the day, with many access points using excellent elevators as well as ramps and steps for access. I saw children playing far from supervising adults, happily, and saw a stunning variety of architecture. You get unusual views here -- it is generally not possible in Paris to see far into the distance, unobstructed, but you can here. Many locals were in this park carrying food to eat together al fresco, as there are some places to sit. This is surely a tremendous plus for local residents and now visitors to Paris have yet another free thing to see and enjoy. I really recommend this and even if you've been to the city before, this wasn't open yet. It will be extended soon and they are redoing various stretches of this old rail path around the city. At the beginning of this, you see an old train tunnel used for storing maintenance materials, you can see the elevator I used to get down here instead of the steps, and some of the late Summer wildflowers which are already flourishing.
There are several points of access to this park so look on new, updated maps for how to get in and out. If you're visiting Paris and are looking for a free place to get some exercise, you might want to try this, as it was very peaceful and the boardwalks and paths were kind of bouncy somehow. Some were wood and some were another thing I didn't really recognize.

Notre dame de l'arche d'alliance a été voulue par Monseigneur Lustiger, elle exprime le lien entre nouveau et ancien testament, et forme un cube moderne. Une statue de la vierge camerounaise y est installée, oeuvre de l'artiste Kamfacq.
