......About video....
Bangkok (UK: /bæŋˈkɒk/,[6][7]US: /ˈbæŋkɒk/[7][8]) is the capital and most populous city of the Kingdom of Thailand. It is known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon(กรุงเทพมหานคร, pronounced [krūŋ tʰêːp mahǎː nákʰɔ̄ːn] ( listen)) or simply Krung Thep ( listen ). The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres (605.7 sq mi) in the Chao Phraya River delta in Central Thailand, and has a population of over 8 million, or 12.6 percent of the country's population. Over 14 million people (22.2 percent) lived within the surrounding Bangkok Metropolitan Region at the 2010 census,[5] making Bangkok an extreme primate city, significantly dwarfing Thailand's other urban centres in terms of importance.

IS THIS THE 12TH COOLEST AREA IN WORLD? Pridi Banomyong / Phra Khanong in Bangkok
Time Out recently published their annual survey of coolest neighbourhoods, and this quirkly little Bangkok area, Pridi Banomyong near Phra Khanong BTS came in 12th. Can it really be the 12th coolest? Watch the video, and see what you think, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
The Time Out article is here and the specific section on Pridi Baonomyong is here
One thing to note is that a lot of the places Time Out lists are quite spread out along the different alleys leading off Sukhumvit 71. The easiest places to visit are those in Pridi Banomyong Soi 1 and 3, which are easy to walk to from the BTS. For other attractions, you may want to think about getting a taxi.
Here's what Time Out has to say about the area -
As the once-favoured districts of Thonglor and Ekkamai have become too packed and expensive, young locals and trendy expats have set off eastwards and landed on the streets off Soi Pridi Banomyong, an area also referred to as Phra Khanong (after the local Skytrain station). They’ve given this once-peaceful, now-buzzing residential quarter of Bangkok the multiracial vibe it never had: now its elegant, decades-old homes and old-school shophouse restaurants are dotted with cool cafés, hip bars, DIY galleries, chic boutiques and open-air markets masterminded by creative types. Swing by for a cup of artisanal coffee at Karo Coffee Roasters, snap photos of the street art around W Market, mingle with like-minded individuals at one of the area’s many excellent new bars, and breathe in the fresh energy – while it’s still here.
EAT Located in a super-low-key ‘food court’ near Soi Pridi 43, Larb Lub Lub (‘Secret Larb’) is well worth the walk up the main road. Join the clued-up locals and Japanese expats savouring north-eastern Thai fare alongside surprisingly fresh sashimi and Japanese bites at this clandestine joint.
DRINK Clouds Across The Moon captures its owner’s nostalgia for the ’80s with its interior and futuristic drinks. Or there’s Cielo Sky Bar at W District, where you can take in the mesmerizing night view of Bangkok.
DO Shop for fun, antique collectables at Masaru Japan Store, then check out contemporary art by breaking Thai and Japanese artists at Goja Art Gallery (which also hosts regular hip hop nights).
STAY Local Time offers a friendly and fuss-free stay in one of its dormitory-style rooms, as well as fun activities like beer tasting, yoga and jam sessions. —Top Koaysomboon, Time Out Bangkok
LOCALS SAY ‘It has a great location, not far from the city centre but quiet enough. My friends live in the area and there are cafés, street food and markets.’

MOCA - Bangkok
Museum of contemporary art in the capital city of Thailand. MOCA is a huge, five-storeyed modern building, housing contemporary thai art. It is situated in the north of Bangkok, not far from Don Mueang airport. Hopefully in the future there will be a direct skytrain connection that will make it easier to reach it. Until then you could go to BTS Mochit - station and then take a taxi or a bus.

In the heart of Bangkok, GOJA Gallery Cafe is located 5 minutes walk from BTS Phrakanong station. GOJA opened in Jan 2014. Before GOJA was built, this place used to be a hair salon and GOJA took 3 months to renovate the whole interiors. There is a cafe area on the 1st floor and office area on the 2nd floor. When you're trying to create a new “culture” from scratch, place & venue are the must to have. New GOJA style will start crossing different genres & nationalities in the street of Phrakanong, Bangkok Thailand.

Bangkok Nightlife 2016 - VLOG 66
Bangkok Nightlife 2016 - VLOG 66 Soi Cowboy / Nana Plaza
CAMERA USED IN THIS VIDEO:
NEWER CAMERA I USE FOR 2017:
OLDER CAMERA:
THAI DATING SITE WITH THE HOTTEST WOMEN:
A VLOG from April 2016 taken at Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza in Bangkok, Thailand. There is also some footage late night on Soi 4 in this video.
The parts of this video are:
0:00 Skytrain to Nana Station and a Mexican food place
1:01 Crazy House bar, Soi 23
2:04 Soi Cowboy
8:35 Moto Taxi ride from Soi 23 to Soi Nana
10:26 Nana Plaza
13:05 Soi 4 late at night
Food:
I went to Charley Brown's Mexican Cantina, Sukhumvit Soi 11 on this night. It is probably my favourite place for mexican food in Bangkok. It can get very busy so it's best to book a table if there are more than 2 of you. To get there turn left at the Villa Market and walk past 'Cheap Charlies' bar down the alley and it's set amongst a string of international restaurants on the left.
Crazy House gogo bar:
This place is considered the best and raunchiest gogo bar in Bangkok. They have birthday suit dancers inside so it pulls in a big crowd even early on It's really hard to get a seat later so I went there first thing this night ;)
I had one of those 'Mind Blown / Is this real life?' moments as when I entered I headed straight for the lift to check out upstairs first. I was sober as a judge and a good looking and fully naked girl joined me for the ride upstairs. So literally ten seconds after entering the bar I'm sharing a lift alone with a clothless beauty :)
It was one of those times where you pinch yourself and think that this would never happen in any country other than Thailand.
I'm happy to say that the Crazy House music has been turned down a notch or 2 inside so it makes staring into the sea of nakedness much more bearable.
Also of note, drinks are up to 170 baht now (prices are creeping up fast), and each receipt had to be signed by the recipient.
I think they must have had some recent complaints with people's bills for this to be enforced. I welcome it TBH as if you are drinking in a group of people on one bill things can get out of hand quickly.
For the motorbike ride a taxi driver decided to make a right turn from the middle lane almost taking us out. Then after that my rider decided to hang out in the blind spot of another taxi.
I've only had one crash in years of taxing Bkk moto taxis, and I'm probably due another one so maybe it's time to stop using them sooner rather than later.
Taking a taxi late from around Soi 4 or near Soi Cowboy:
It can be very frustrating when taxi drivers won't do their jobs and give you a metered fare to your destination. It's all because they are looking for nightclub customers as the kickbacks drivers receive for delivering customers can be juicy.
Don't bother with parked up taxis as they always quote you a flat fee. Also, don't bother with shiny clean looking taxis who pull up while simultaneously winding their window down, they will want an off the meter flat fee or to take you to a nightclub.
The best strategy is to wave down an average looking, maybe a little scruffy taxi. They are normally just regular Bangkok Taxi drivers passing through and not regulars in the area. They will be more than happy to take you to your desired location with the meter turned on. Sure, the taxi won't be brand spanking new, but at least you will pay the going rate.

Chili hip - Rooftop Dining at Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel - Amazing Downtown Views of Bangkok!
Bangkok has many rooftop bars but the Thaifoodies team recently visited Chili hip Restaurant on the 20th Floor of the Centara Watergate Pavillion Hotel and were blown away by the incredible, closeup views of Bangkok's skyscrapers. Just a short walk from Central World Shopping Center!
Being located on the 20th floor Chili hip is not the highest rooftop bar in the area but given the density of tall buildings in the vicinity it provides a slightly different, but nonetheless spectacular view of the twinkling lights of the Big Mango. Add to that the fact that Chili hip is completely open affording near 360 degree views makes for a spectacular spot to enjoy some great Thai fusion cuisine.
Chili hip offers spacious and comfortable tables that are perfect for after work drinks with a group of friends or an intimate and romantic dinner with your special someone. The open rooftop area offers wonderfully cooling breezes that will make you want to linger and enjoy the city while it rushes past and there is no better way to do so than with a glass of wine and Thai cuisine!
Chili hip focuses on Thai and Asian Flavors so our Intrepid food critic Babe decided to try a variety of dishes to get a feel for the menu.
The chef at Chili hip started us off with a complimentary Coconut Bread with Peanut Sauce dip. A simply dish but bursting with flavor! We could have just had this wonderful starter and been happy! Be sure to request this yummy starter when you visit Chili hip!
We sampled two appetizers next, a light Salmon Tartare with Fried Sticky Rice and Crab Spring Rolls. The Salmon Tartare was lovely and light done with traditional Thai flavors and served with super crunchy fried sticky rice. The spring rolls were also light despite being deep fried, filled with fresh crab meat and served with sweet plum sauce for dipping- delicious!
One of my all time favorite Thai dishes was served up next. Issan Sausage! This sausage comes from the North Eastern part of Thailand. It has a unique and very Thai flavor. Do yourself a favor and try it if you haven't yet. Do yourself another favor while you are at it and try the Issan Sausage at Chili hip! It is one of the best I've had in a very long while! - A MUST TRY!
Our first entree of the evening was a heart Pork Medallions served with traditional mashed potatoes. This very western dish was given a little Asian flavor by being served with an anchovy sauce that gives the pork a salty kick. Yummy!
Pan Fried Snow Fish served on a bed of saffron rice and topped with Tiger prawns was next up and Oh my! We just love a great Snow Fish and this one was just that. The snow fish was so mild and fresh, made all the better by the delicious saffron rice. The tiger prawns on top rounded out this wonderful dish perfectly - Another Must Try!
Our last dish of the evening was a Sauteed Sea Scallops and Tiger Prawn served up with a LOVELY Rice Pilaf . This is yet another MUST TRY! The Sea Scallops and Tiger Prawn were fresh, sweet and cooked to perfection. The pilaf though really tied this dish together. We don't get to enjoy the silky smooth butter flavor of a nice pilaf often in Bangkok and this one was AMAZING!
Chili hip is a nice discovery and we recommend that you check it out with friends and family. Its a great place for just a relaxing cocktail or a sophisticated meal. Head on over - you'll thank us!
