K-Star Road is a special project directed towards overseas visitors looking to immerse themselves into the so-called “Korean Wave”. As the name implies, K-Star Road focuses on “stars” and is a place where one can take a glimpse into the lives of famous K-Pop idols.
As implied by its name, K-Star Road is an actual road, located in the road from Apgujeong Rodeo Station to the Cheongdam intersection, K-Star Road features a variety of K-Pop artifacts, one of which is a large toy called ‘Gangnamdol’. Tourists often take pictures with this iconic doll, a representation of the cultural buzz that has hit Korea since the K-Wave. #gangnamdol

☞ About K-STAR ROAD
The main road connecting the Apgujeong Rodeo Station exit 2 and Cheongdam crossroads is often called the ‘luxury road of Cheongdam,' with many luxury goods stores along with the road. However, it seems it is time to call it the K-Star Road.
As you take the exit 2 from the Apgujeong Rodeo Station, you can find GangnamDol, indicating that you have arrived at the K-Star Road. GangnamDol is a compound word of ‘Gangnam’, ‘idol, and ‘doll’. It is a symbolic sculpture of the K-Star Road, with the symbolic images of the famous K-pop groups printed on the human-scale bear doll.
It took about two years to establish the K-Star Road. There is a 3-meter-tall PSY GangnamDol in front of the Galleria Department Store, and seventeen more GangnamDols of Super Junior, EXO, Girl’s Generation, and Bangtan Boys are located. The GangnamDols are placed along with about 1 km section of the road connecting the Apgujeong Rodeo Station and Cheongdam crossroads, so if you walk along the GangnamDol places, you can enter the area packed with entertainment companies, including JYP Entertainment and Cube Entertainment. It is another enjoyable content to find your favorite singer’s GangnamDol and take a picture to be posted in your SNS.

March 2016 Travel Diary: An Afternoon in Apgujeong, Seoul, South Korea
Spent the afternoon in Apgujeong today! Took Louie the Spitz on a walk and grabbed a coffee at Manmade Cafe on Rodeo Street. Manmade Cafe has an adorable and chic camping theme, and the coffee was quite good!
After coffee, took a short drive to the Apgujeong CGV for a movie :)

Seoul Trip 2015 - Day 7 (Garosugil, Apgujeong and Cheongdamdong)
After 2 years, we finally went to Korea again. Unlike previously, this time our goal is to shop, shop and shop. So you will probably see a lot of footage in the shopping district. We went for 10 days this time round from 08 December 2015 to 17 December 2015.
Day 7, we went to Garosugil, Apgujeong and Cheongdamdong. These 3 places is more to the high-end area. Hence, there are a lot of international brands around the area. So, we didn't do much shopping there. In Garosugil, we witnessed a lady who just did her plastic surgery. I was shocked. I guess plastic surgery is nothing for them.

Hi guys! Garosugil (가로수길) is a small street in the neighborhood of Sinsa-dong (신사동), which is in the Gangnam district (강남구), Seoul, Korea. It's a great place to go shopping, eat at restaurants, visit cute cafes, and just hang out. In this video, I'll share with you my kawaii guide to Garosugil Seoul, Korea! I will start by showing you how to get to Garosugil from Sinsa station. Lets explore this Gangnam shopping street together!
Directions to Garosugil - From Sinsa station, go out of Exit 8 and walk straight for about 5-7 minutes. When you see the sign with the gingko leaves that says Garosugil Road or 가로수길, you have arrived!
