Banks & ATMs, clothes, food courts, Thai food, fast food, groceries, watches, telephones, groceries, electrical goods, furniture and toys are all available, along with loads of other items. If you're coming to Phuket Thailand and want to shop, you'll find plenty of shops and shopping centres in Phuket! Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all around Thailand, and heaps around Phuket. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it for 3 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!
The markets in Thailand are a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at a Thai market is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai Food Markets on your Phuket holiday, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!
Subscribe to my channel for my latest blog and for more videos on what to do in Thailand and what to eat in Thailand. New Thailand videos posted every Wednesday about Thailand: places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, street food, Thai recipes, eating Thai food, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel, including Phuket, Ao Nang, Krabi and other Thailand destinations.
Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

There is so much Thai street food in Thailand and Thailand is known for being one of the best places in the world for eating street food. In this video I take you on a Phuket food tour of the street food at a night market in Phuket Thailand, Chillva Night Market.
Chillva Night Market is in Phuket Town Thailand, its Google Maps coordinates are:
The full market is open Thursday to Saturday, 5 pm to 11 pm.
A smaller version is open Monday to Wednesday, 5 pm to 11 pm.
Check out my recent video, Phuket Street Food: 8 Things You Should Try in 2019 here:
All of the Thai cuisine in this video is very common as Thai street food, but you will also find it at Thai restaurants. You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Phuket, Krabi, Bangkok or Pattaya. Thai food has taken many influences from Chinese food so you will find many familiar flavours. Thai food markets and night markets are some of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since April 2012 in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!

Phuket Town Day Tour With Scooter | Phuket Thailand Tour vlog
Phuket is one of the biggest islands in Thailand. Phuket old town is the hearth of this island. Being based in Phuket it is very easy to explore the surroundings of the Phuket island on the Andaman Sea. It is very easy to rent a boat or go on organised tours in to Phi Phi Islands, James Bond Island or any other island from in the Phang Nga Bay Thailand. Phuket is very popular tourist destination, being easily connected to the rest of the world via its international airport.
Renting a scooter in Phuket is one if the best things to do as you have the freedom and time to explore more. Driving a scooter in Thailand is very cheap and is one of the best options to move around once you settled in a place.
This video vlogs one day tour around Phuket Old Town area. You can get a good idea on what you can see and do in a day in Phuket, Thailand. The main attraction points highlighted here are:
1. The Monkey Hill Phuket - very close to Phuket Town, this attraction provides splendid views over one side of the Phuket Town, and gives you the chance to see the monkeys; there are plenty of monkeys here and some local fruit juices and drunks that you can have on the way.
2. Khao Rang View Point is a very quiet and peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the splendid views over the Phuket Town.
3. Karon View Point is one of the busiest view points in Phuket Island just because it offers views over the three most famous beaches in Phuket and the Andaman Sea. Here you can see a beautiful sunset over the Phuket island.
4. Big Buddha is highlight of the Phuket island. The journey to Big Buddha can be very pleasant as you can stop to feed the elephants or enjoy some green fresh coconuts. Big Buddha offers amazing views over Phuket Town and inspires you with the grand marble statue of Buddha.
Riding a scooter will allow you to easily see all these attractions and in the same time you could squeeze in an hour or two of beach time on the west coast of Phuket Island.

Where to retire or stay in BANG TAO BAY, KAMALA & PHUKET TOWN (3/4)
Bang Tao Bay
For who: Family, couples, best luxury resorts, wealthy people, water activities, running, watching sunset/sunrise, some budget options
Good for: Some of the best luxury resorts on the island are here, high-end shopping, high-end fine dining, great for morning or evening runs, clam, relaxing, sun bathing, and water activities
Avoid:
- If you have a limited budget.
- If you are looking to party with loud music, high-energy parties and seeking other adult entertainment (GoGo).
------------------
Kamala
For who: Away from the touristy area but still has a nice beach. Anyone seeking a local Thai feel and relaxing place for R&R.
Good for: Family with small children, quite beach, less crowded, budget travelers, lots of affordable but quality hotels. Less commercialize than Patong and feel more like a real Thai neighborhood.
Avoid:
- If you are seeking fine white sand with clear blue water.
- If you want to shop, party, or adult entertainment, you will need to head over to Patong for bigger selections.
- Depending on when you visit Kamala Beach, it can be a bit dirty with garbage on the ground.
------------------
Phuket Town
For who: Family, couples, budget traveler, alternative from the busy beaches of Phuket
Good for: History, culture, local food, market shopping, laid-back vibe, a break from the hustle and bustle.
Avoid:
- If you’re seeking a beach life – as Phuket Town is located inland at the center of Phuket Island.
- If you are looking for high-engery party with loud music and seeking other adult entertainment (GoGo).
