3D GALLERY BUDAPEST | Hungary | The Fluffies Channel
Eric was walking around near our Airbnb, and he came across a cool museum - The 3D Gallery Budapest. Not everyone is a museum goer, but this is our kind of museum. Not only can you experience the wonders of art, but you can also become a part of it. At each part of the exhibit/installation, you can see what others have done, or you can just go ahead and come up with your own interpretation.
The cool thing about this exhibit is it is for every age, whether young or old.
And you can have your pics printed and made into a fridge magnet to capture the fabulous experience (for a small extra charge).
The exhibit changes on a yearly basis, so it is an exhibit you can keep coming back to. They have been open for two years now.

The Hungarian State Opera House (Hungarian: Magyar Állami Operaház) is a neo-Renaissance opera house located in central Budapest, on Andrássy út. Originally known as the Hungarian Royal Opera House, it was designed by Miklós Ybl, a major figure of 19th-century Hungarian architecture. Construction began in 1875, funded by the city of Budapest and by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary, and the new house opened to the public on the 27 September 1884. Before the closure of the Népszínház in Budapest, it was the third largest opera building in the city; today it is the second largest opera house in Budapest and in Hungary.
Touring groups had performed operas in the city from the early 19th century, but as Legány notes, a new epoch began after 1835 when part of the Kasa National Opera and Theatrical Troupe arrived in Buda.
They took over the Castle Theatre and, in 1835, were joined by another part of the troupe, after which performances of operas were given under conductor Ferenc Erkel. By 1837 they had established themselves at the Magyar Színház (Hungarian Theatre) and by 1840, it had become the Nemzeti Színház (National Theatre).
Upon its completion, the opera section moved into the Hungarian Royal Opera House, with performances quickly gaining a reputation for excellence in a repertory of about 45 to 50 operas and about 130 annual performances.
Today, the opera house is home to the Budapest Opera Ball, a society event dating back to 1886.
Hungarian Parliament Building - Budapest, Hungary
The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the National Assembly of Hungary, a notable landmark of Hungary and a popular tourist destination in Budapest. It is situated in Kossuth Square. It is currently the largest building in Hungary and It was designed by Hungarian architect, Imre Steindl, in neo-Gothic style and opened in 1902.
Budapest was united from three cities in 1873, namely Buda, Óbuda, and Pest. Seven years later, the Diet of Hungary or originally: Parlamentum Publicum, resolved to establish a new, representative parliament building, expressing the sovereignty of the nation. The building was planned to face the river. An international competition was held, and Imre Steindl, emerged as the victor; the plans of two other competitors were later also realized in the form of the Ethnographic Museum and the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture, both facing the Parliament Building. Construction from the winning plan was started in 1885, and the building was inaugurated on the 1000th anniversary of the country in 1896. It was completed in 1904. About 100,000 people were involved in construction, during which 40 million bricks, half a million precious stones and 40 kilograms of gold were used. Since World War II the legislature became unicameral, and today the government uses only a small portion of the building.
The Parliament Building is built in the Gothic Revival style; it has a symmetrical façade and a central dome. The dome is Renaissance Revival architecture. The Parliament inside is also symmetrical and thus has two absolutely identical parliament halls of which one is used for politics, the other for guided tours. It is 268 m long and 123 m wide. Its interior includes 10 courtyards, 13 passenger and freight elevators, 27 gates, 29 staircases and 691 rooms. The main facade overlooks the River Danube, but the official main entrance is from the square on the east side of the building. Inside and outside, there are altogether 242 sculptures on the walls. The Holy Crown of Hungary, which is also depicted in the coat of arms of Hungary, has been displayed in the central hall since 2000.
Standing right in front of the Parliament is the statue of Grof Andráshi Gjula. The statue commemorates one of Hungary's most beloved politicians who served as the nation's prime minister between 1867 and 1871.
Prominently on display in the square is Francis II Rakóczi, leader of the Hungarian uprising against the Habsburgs in the early 1700's. Although defeated in 1711 and forced to spend the rest of his life in exile, he is considered a national hero.
On the right side, there is the monument dedicated to former Hungarian Prime Minister Kossuth Lajos.
Being a traveler in Budapest, the Parliament building is one of city attractions, you must visit. Take your time, to admire beautiful architecture and history surrounding amazing Kossuth Square.

The Citadella is the fortification located upon the top of Gellért Hill in Budapest, Hungary.
Citadella is the Hungarian word for citadel, a kind of fortress.
The word is exclusively used by other languages to refer to the Gellért Hill citadel which occupies a place which held strategic importance in Budapest's military history.
The fortress was built in 1851 by Julius Jacob von Haynau, a commander of the Austrian Empire, and was designed by Emmanuel Zitta and Ferenc Kasselik, after the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. It occupies almost the entire 235 metres high plateau. The fortress is a U-shaped structure built about a central courtyard, being 220 metres long, 60 metres wide, and 4 metres tall. It had a complement of sixty cannons.
Actually built by Hungarian forced labourers, it was finished in 1854. In June 1854 Austrian troops settled in the citadel. After the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 and the establishment of Austria–Hungary, the Hungarians demanded the destruction of the Citadel, but the garrison troops left only in 1897, when the main gate was symbolically damaged. It was not until late 1899 when the city took possession of the Citadel. A few months later, in 1900, the walls were demolished.
