Richard MEIER - (2012) - The BEACH Houses (Jesolo [VE] - Italy)
...The Jesolo Lido project was conceived as a landmark beachfront destination on the Adriatic coast of Italy intended to draw guests to its residential and hotel components. The complex is comprised of Jesolo Lido Village, completed in 2007, a three-story residential residential building set inland at the scale of the adjacent residential fabric, and two building set on the ocean front: Jesolo Lido Condominum and Jesolo Lido Hotel.
The condominium and hotel have been oriented in order to maintain views of the sea from the depths of the site and from the village. The concepts separates the areas into low density (ten stories on beach-front) and high density (low-rise to the rear of the site) presenting the opportunity to create different senses of place within the same area. All Three projects are tied toghether along a spine running from north to south acting as a viewing corridor and public access walkway to the beachfront.
Jesolo Lido Condominium is linked to the Village by a common architectural language and an open entrance plaza, creating a dialogue between the two projects. The ground floors consist of six apartaments with private gardens, a spa area and a concierge. The top level of the building is dedicated to five distinct duplex penthouse units, each with its own outdoor pool. The overall gross area above ground for the building's ten stories will be approximately 7400 square meters. The volume is simple and clean and creates a strong symbolic element for the Jesolo Lido area and region.

Benedict XVI breaks his silence???
Is like that time, when a 3rd party revealed a letter that pope Benedict said that Francis was a true pope... we did not buy that. In his Interview he says that Dogma has evolutioned... When it is a clear teaching that dogma has no evolution, IT REMAINS THE SAME FOREVER.
Well, no one explains it better than Chris Ferrara:

Old Roman Road in England of Europe

The Roman roads are roads that in the time of the Roman Empire were built and maintained. Pull up thousands of miles back and forth across Europe. Your approximated curve, together with the main transport hub is located in the historic Tabula Peutingeriana mapped.
Roman roads were a novelty in Central Europe. Because of their road engineering design, they were contrary to the nature trails Germanic and Celtic origin (see Altstrasse ) not only largely independent of the moisture content of the soil passable, but forced their straight as possible, with only comparatively low gradients, their way through levels and structures such as retaining walls and bridges through the mountains. The attachment was effected by a given layer construction of the roads, which differed by the regional availability of certain building materials.
The cobblestones were ideally suited for the march, riding and also the marketing of bullock carts. Over time, of course, some wear the ceiling set, which still exist today. There are not many examples of exceptionally well-preserved Roman roads. Most of these fragments are not more but in public road traffic involved, which is probably most likely from for today's traffic and oncoming traffic due to narrow width. A number of today's roads are built on the foundations of Roman roads, where the original foundations and the pavement were naturally broadened and usually by an asphalt surface is largely invisible today about a release layer, the Roman road. Thus, the following A15 north of Lincoln still just 34 kilometers long straight running Roman road, with only a single bulge at Scampton provided, where the air base was extended to 1955, the runway, what the first change of course made necessary after 1,900 years.
Most of these were relatively straight road between the important settlements that made it possible to quickly move to the desired location. Roman roads are tied together many cities in Italy, and then began to appear in other areas of the Roman Empire between the significant political and economic centers.
The first paved road was built in the year 312 BC. e. Appiem Tsekom Claudius between Rome and Capua : she was named after its creator Via Appia ( Appian Way ). At the end of the Roman republic territory peninsula covered with a network of such roads. Each of them had the name of the censor, which was built. Road could also receive the name or in the direction of the area through which they pass. Sometimes the road renamed after another Roman figure it repaired. Bridge Road only in the cities or on the approaches to them (except for the completely paved Via Appia ), but mostly covered with sand, crushed stone and gravel from nearby quarries.
Usually it was built at the same time in some areas, distant from each other. This explains the slight changes in direction, which archaeologists discover ancient roads in the study. Roads are often built soldiers, especially in peacetime, so some parts of the roads were often close to military camps. Other segments built slaves, settlers who lived near the road, or prisoners. Despite popular belief, the Roman roads were not built on a standard plan: most road consisted of many different areas of quality, operation were maintained in a better or worse shape depending on where it is held.
Public roads are built on land owned by the state and state money. Often, however, the taxes for the construction of such roads taxed city to which these roads led or large owners through whose land these roads were laid. Most often, they were named after the man who proposed to build this way (eg, Via Agrippa ( Agrippieva road ) by name - Mark Vipsania Agrippa, Via Domitia ( Domitia ) - named consul 122 BC. Oe. Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus ).
Often it was possible to move the river or streams through the ford. So here the road is usually macadamize or lined with lime and the edge of the road propped wooden beams. However, archaeologists have found other fords that crossed important roads. Here Wade flopped big boulders, a retaining wall was constructed, the channel for water drainage and road bridges. Such transitions across the ford often turned later in small wooden or stone bridges.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! SUMMARY
=======
In medicine, a prosthesis (plural: prostheses; from Ancient Greek prosthesis, addition, application, attachment) or prosthetic implant is an artificial device that replaces a missing body part, which may be lost through trauma, disease, or a condition present at birth (congenital disorder). Prostheses are intended to restore the normal functions of the missing body part. Amputee rehabilitation is primarily coordinated by a physiatrist as part of a inter-disciplinary team consisting of physiatrists, prosthetists, nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. Prostheses can be created by hand or with Computer-Aided Design (CAD), a software interface that helps creators design and analyze the creation with computer-generated 2-D and 3-D graphics as well as analysis and optimization tools.
