The Chinese food is so good in Shanghai! I've eaten street food in Bejing, street food in Chengdu, street food in Xi’an, street food in Guangzhou, and now, street food in Shanghai. A lot of the street food in Shanghai is similar to other street food in China. You can find some unique Shanghai street food specialties here, like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan fried dumplings), seafood on the street, and some delicious noodles as well. The street food in Shanghai was so delicious. The restaurant food and special Chinese cuisine was also very nice! I had some amazing Chinese sesame paste noodles that were to die for!

8) 14:20 Stewed pork made from the essence of fermented tofu (腐乳肉 fǔrǔ ròu), and a gluten dumpling (Dān dàng 单档) filled with juicy pork.
Restaurant name and address: 上海文庙旁 Right beside the Wenmiao temple in Shanghai, down a back alley street where they sell lots of Anime and Manga.
Price: 21 RMB ($3.15) for two.
9) 17:00 The final street feast of the night happened on the outskirts of Shanghai, where Xiaoyun brought me to try a Shanghai summer favourite, crayfish (小龙虾 xiǎo lóngxiā).

Travelling China 中国旅游 - A different scenery of China

Usually when people think of China, they think of the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, Shanghai and it's amazing city. We think of big grand, tall sky scanners and apartment block buildings.
I want to show you all a different side of China, one of green scenery, magnificent mountains, of culture and hikes. Here are some of our amazing adventures travelling through mostly Yunan and Sichuan. The city and towns we visited included Mabugan, Guangzhou, Puzhehei, Dali, Lijiang, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Yubeng, Yading, Shangri La, Deqen, Litang, Qudeng Village, Daocheng, Guilin, Chengdu, etc.
This is our adventures of travelling, backpacking and hitchhiking through China. As cliche as it may sound, to a road less travelled.
I hope you all enjoy watching this as much as i enjoyed making it!
Leitai Tomb of Han Dynasty, Wuwei, China 2E875085 3DF1 493F A281 10CDDBFEADB9
Leitai Tomb is a national key cultural relics protection units, located in Leitai Park, Wuwei City. It was discovered by local famers under an old locust tree in 1969. It is famous for the Bronze Horse unearthed in the tomb which is a cultural treasure and also the tourism logo of China. Leitai is a place of ancient ritual. As there is a Leizhu Temple built on the platform about 10 m high, hence the name.
With four side-rooms on the four sides of the main chamber, the tomb has an inner passage of 19.34 meters. From the whole tomb, 231 cultural relics made of gold, silver, copper, iron, jade, animal bone, stone and porcelain as well as 99 bronze chariots, horses and warriors. Among all of these unearthed treasures, it is the bronze galloping horse that is of artistic value most. This horse has a height of 34.5 cm, a length of 45 cm and a weight of 17.5 kilometers, appearing to be galloping with its three legs off the earth and its head holding high. The exquisite casting skill is so astonishing that it is considered as the crown of ancient bronzes, and the original is now well collected in the Gansu Museum.

Chengdu:
Chengdu, formerly romanized as Chengtu, is the provincial capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China, as well as a major city in Western China. It holds sub-provincial administrative status.The administrative area houses 14,047,625 inhabitants: 7,415,590 within the municipality's nine urban districts[5] and 6,632,035 in the surrounding satellite towns and counties' urban, suburban and rural area. According to the 2010 census, Chengdu is the fifth-most populous city in China. Chengdu is one of the most important economic, financial, commercial, cultural, transportation, and communication centers in Western China. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is one of the 40 busiest airports in the world, and Chengdu Railway Station is one of the six biggest railway stations in China. Chengdu also hosts many international companies and more than 12 consulates. More than 260 Fortune 500 companies have established branches in Chengdu due to huge demand of Western China. In 2006, it was named China's 4th-most liveable city by China Daily.
Air China:
Air China Limited (simplified Chinese: 中国国际航空公司; traditional Chinese: 中國國際航空公司; literally: China International Airlines Company, colloquially known as 国航/國航, SEHK: 0753, LSE: AIRC, SSE: 601111) is the flag carrier and one of the major airlines of the People's Republic of China, with its headquarters in Shunyi District, Beijing. Air China's flight operations are based in Beijing Capital International Airport. In 2013, the airline carried 51 million domestic and international passengers with an average load factor of 81%.
On 10 August 1993, Air China Flight 973, a Boeing 767 was hijacked after takeoff from Beijing en route to Jakarta. A 30-year-old Chinese man passed a handwritten note to a flight attendant demanding to be flown to Taiwan. He threatened that his accomplice would destroy the aircraft unless he was flown to Taiwan. The aircraft was flown to Taipei International Airport, where the hijacker surrendered.
On 10 October 1998, Air China Flight 905, a Boeing 737-300 flying the Beijing-Kunming-Yangon route was hijacked by its pilot to Chiang Kai-shek International Airport in Taiwan. The pilot and his wife were apprehended by Taiwanese authorities. The passengers and the crew were unharmed, and the aircraft returned to mainland China later that day.
On 15 April 2002, Air China Flight 129, a Boeing 767-200ER from Beijing to Busan, South Korea, crashed into a hill while trying to land at Gimhae International Airport during inclement weather, killing 129 of the 166 people on board. This is Air China's first and only fatal accident to date.
On 10 June 2013, an unidentified airborne object collided with Air China Flight 4307 flying from Chengdu to Guangzhou as the 757 was climbing through 26000 ft. The flight returned to Chengdu for safety reasons, and post flight examinations revealed that the unknown object caused severe damage to the composite radar dome of the aircraft.
Shanghai:
Shanghai is the largest Chinese city by population and the largest city proper by population in the world. It is one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of the People's Republic of China, with a population of more than 24 million as of 2014. It is a global financial center, and a transport hub with the world's busiest container port. Located in the Yangtze River Delta in East China, Shanghai sits on the south edge of the mouth of the Yangtze in the middle portion of the Chinese coast. The municipality borders the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang to the north, south and west, and is bounded to the east by the East China Sea.
For centuries a major administrative, shipping, and trading town, Shanghai grew in importance in the 19th century due to European recognition of its favorable port location and economic potential. The city was one of five opened to foreign trade following the British victory over China in the First Opium War while the subsequent 1842 Treaty of Nanking and 1844 Treaty of Whampoa allowed the establishment of the Shanghai International Settlement and the French Concession. The city then flourished as a center of commerce between east and west, and became the undisputed financial hub of the Asia Pacific in the 1930s. However, with the Communist Party takeover of the mainland in 1949, trade was reoriented to focus on socialist countries, and the city's global influence declined. Day 5 of Jake Rich's Contiki China travel vlogs see's the squad take the overnight train from Beijing to Xi'an. Arriving in Xi'an was one of the most beautiful Chinese cities with stunning architecture, clear blue skies and extremely friendly people. The contiki group had the pleasure of learning Chinese calligraphy, learning about and exploring the terracotta soldiers and finishing off the day tasting rice wine at a traditional Chinese theatre and dumpling restaurant.
