Information on how to get to Cinque Terre Italy and Monterosso Beach:
Cinque Terre is along the southwest coast of Italy, just north of another favorite Italy travel destination, The Amalfi Coast. To get to Cinque Terre, there are many ways to get there, but we suggest you fly into Genoa (Genovo), then take the Trenitalia (Treno or Train), southbound into Cinque Terre. There is not an actual town called Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre is made up of five beautiful beach towns, starting from North going South; Levanto, Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia and Monarola. The only two towns that have beaches are Levanto and Monterosso with Monterosso being the most lively and have the most to offer. As you can see from this video there are beautiful beach girls, beach side hotels and beach front cafe's to be enjoyed.

Pieve di Caminino is complex of stone houses dating back to the 9th century and is surrounded by vineyards, woods, olive groves (source of the family's prestigious olive oil), and a garden including a collection of English roses.
Five suites and two apartments are attached to the main house. Each accommodates up to five people.
The guestrooms are simply furnished with the country antiques, wrought-iron beds, and original fresco paintings. They feature living rooms with fireplace and balconies with view to either the sweeping countryside, down to the sea, or out to the woods,
All the units are rented on a self-catering basis but breakfast can be provided for a fee by request.
Besides a pool with spectacular views and massage treatments, painting classes are organized in May and October.
Along with Siena and Montalcino, there are plenty of off-the-beaten-track sights to see organized by son, Emiliano. Bikes can be rented.

I have been so nostalgic lately. Watching family videos with tears running down my face. I came across this rare footage of Italy. They are super 8 films of my grandparents trip to Italy in I believe the 1950s. I had them put onto DVDs years ago and now with today's technology I put some music to it that reminded me of my Toscana. I didn't edit the film because my grandparents were exploring with their new camera and I don't want to take away even the dull parts because it was all so cool back then to have a movie maker! Seeing my grandmaother in Vallico Sopra with her kin under the castagna (chestnut) trees is beautiful. My great bisnonno - grandfather with my nonno-grandfather is really touching, wow. The scenes of vineyards warms my heart. I am fortunate that I got to experience Torre Del Lago Puccini before it changed so drastically. I remember walking through the vineyards to visit my cousins. I remember a rabbit hutch and peeking inside at all the cute conigli. I remember the beach and the umbrellas, riding my bike through 'la pinetta' the pine forest that connects the town to the sea. I remember walking to Renatta's Gelateria the best tasting ice-cream called gelato that I had never heard of before. I remember watching Superman in an outdoor theater with lighting striking in the sky behind the screen with sipping on a cappuccino. I went to Italy I believe five times. When I was 11, 21, 29, 30, 33. Something like that. I remember walking down the street and each day someone would approach us or yell from across the street Ciao Cugina Americana! The whole town was filled with Gemignani's! It was the coolest thing. Each time I returned, the seeds that I planted with my relations upon my last visit grew. Now it has been so many years apart from my beloved cousins. Heart wrenching. One day soon I hope to return. If you are familiar with Italy you may recognize some places in the film.I used google translate to translate this, hopefully it works so that my cousins can understand it. I forgot my Italian. :) I am hoping my sisters and cousins write some of their memories here too. I sure do love my Italian blood. My heart is melting.....
Sono stato così nostalgico ultimamente . Guardare video di famiglia con le lacrime che sul mio viso . Mi sono imbattuto in questo raro filmato d'Italia . Sono super 8 film del mio viaggio nonni in Italia credo 1950 . Li avevo messi su DVD anni fa e ora con la tecnologia di oggi ho messo un po ' di musica in modo che mi ha ricordato la mia Toscana . Non ho fatto modificare il film perché i miei nonni stavano esplorando con la loro nuova macchina fotografica e non voglio togliere anche le parti opache perché era tutto così raffreddare allora di avere un produttore di film! Vedendo la mia grandmaother in Vallico Sopra con il suo parente sotto la castagna ( castagno ) alberi è bellissimo . Il mio grande bisnonno - nonno con mio nonno , nonno è davvero toccante , wow . Le scene di vigneti scalda il cuore . Ho la fortuna che ho avuto modo di sperimentare Torre Del Lago Puccini prima di essere cambiato così drasticamente. Ricordo a piedi attraverso i vigneti per visitare i miei cugini . Ricordo una conigliera e sbirciare dentro a tutta la Conigli carino. Ricordo la spiaggia e gli ombrelloni , in sella alla mia bicicletta attraverso 'la PINETTA ' la pineta che collega la città al mare. Ricordo a piedi di Renatta Gelateria la migliore degustazione gelato chiamato gelato che non avevo mai sentito parlare prima . Mi ricordo che guardavo Superman in un teatro all'aperto con illuminazione suggestiva nel cielo dietro lo schermo con sorseggiando un cappuccino . Sono andato in Italia credo cinque volte . Quando avevo 11 , 21 , 29 , 30 , 33 . Qualcosa del genere. Ricordo che cammina per strada e ogni giorno qualcuno ci piacerebbe avvicinarsi o urlare dall'altra parte della strada Ciao Cugina Americana ! Tutta la città era piena di Gemignani di !
