Amtrak Train 95 Cab Ride: Richmond to Newport News (2003)
This video was produced by a friend in May 2003 aboard Amtrak Regional Train 95 s it runs from Richmind Staples Mill Rd to Newport News. Train 95 is the daylight full length NEC train running all the way from Boston to Newport News. It's northbound counterpart is Train 94 and the overnight edition are Trains 66/67.
Enjoy all the classic RF&P and C&O signals that were ultimately removed around 2013. Watch as the train crawls through the Richmond Terminal area at 15 mph before opening it up on the Peninsular Sub. Note the still standing R Cabin along with electro-pneumatic point machine in the local interlocking plant.
