During my visit to Saint Thomas US Virgin Island, I decided to take the trip up the 99 Steps with my DJI Osmo

Arrival into Saint Thomas harbor early in the morning and docked at the the Crown Bay pier.

Continuing to Government Hill and to Government House in Kongens Gade -a neoclassical white structure with intricate ironwork along the balconies.
Passing the 99 steps - These steps were built in the mid 1700s, by the Danes, who found streets of steps to be the easiest way to climb up and down the steep hills of Charlotte Amalie.
Located on Tolbod Gade is Emancipation Park with the statue of Danish King Christian IX. The park was named in commemoration of the July 3rd, 1848 emancipation of slaves in the Danish West Indies.

Nick visited a famous pirates' Blackbeard Fortress-Castle that was built by pirated to protect themself from authorities when ashore. HISTORY: Edward Teach (c. 1680 -- 22 November 1718), better known as Blackbeard, was a notorious English pirate who operated around the West Indies and the eastern coast of the American colonies.
Teach captured a French merchant vessel, renamed her Queen Anne's Revenge, and equipped her with 40 guns. He became a renowned pirate, his cognomen derived from his thick black beard and fearsome appearance. He formed an alliance of pirates.
