Speedboat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh
What a way to travel! I took the boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Booked the ticket at my guesthouse the day before and a driver picked me up and dropped me in downtown Siem Reap. From there we loaded onto a small bus for a 20 minute ride to the boat dock. THen it's an easy 5-6 hours on the boat motoring down rivers and across the Tonle Sap. Most of the journey can be spent on top of the boat and beers are available for $2! Amazing way to travel and see life on the river. It does cost about 3x as much as the bus - i believe i paid $32.

Impressive Boat Ride from Siem Reap to Battambang, Cambodia
In July 2017 I traveled through Cambodia for about 2,5 weeks. After visiting Siem Reap and the Angkor Archaeological Park I took a boat to Battambang. First we crossed the Tonle Sap lake and continued our way on a small river with lots of floating villages. It was a great experience, but also impressive. It's hard to see the differences in lifestyles; their world and my world are completely different!
The boat ride took about 8 hours (we left around 8 am) and costs $21,- per person. Tickets are easily available in the city center of Siem Reap. Most tickets include a pick-up from your hotel.
Bring enough water, snacks and sunscreen! We made 1 stop for lunch, but there wasn't much available so we were happy we brought our own snacks.

We had 1 more day in Siem Reap so decided to check out other places apart from Angkor Wat. We went to a buddhist temple which was very calm and peaceful and also went to the local market.

Siem Reap, Cambodia | Cinematic | 3day Adventure Trip
A 3 day adventure trip with my travel buddies Kara, Steph, Liezel and Xian Mike. Our first day tour package was booked through Klook and paid SGD89.68 for everything including the van and a local tour guide. The package was basically a backcountry tour that brought us to different temples within the Angkor Wat enterprise. On our second day we booked a tuktuk which was recommended by a friend. The third day was just actually a half day tour because our flight back to Singapore was at 3:55pm. Here are the details of the tour packages and contacts if you wish to visit Siem Reap:
*1st day|BANTEAY SREI BACKCOUNTRY TOUR/Group of 12 (SGD89.68) Klook
-8am hotel pick-up
-Pre rup temple
-Banteay Srei
-Lunch (not included and they will bring you to a resto that is quite pricey)
-East Mebon Temple
-Ta Som Temple
-Preah Khan Temple
-5pm hotel drop off
*2nd day and 3rd Tour by Tuk-Tuk (Keo:+85570556123)
You can choose what other temples you want to go but they will bring you first to Angkor Wat for the sunrise and if you are lucky you'll get to see an amazing sunrise. They'll pick you up at the hotel at 4:30am.
Note: Most of the temples are within the Angkor Wat Enterprise premises so it is a must to get an Angkor Pass. 1day Pass - USD37; 3day Pass - USD62; 7day Pass - USD72. The official currency of Cambodia is Riel but you can use USD beacuse it is the defacto currency of the countey. Establishments and even in their public transpo uses USD as well in most of their transactions.
GIANT IBIS BUS FROM PHNOM PENH TO SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA
Today we ride the Giant Ibis Bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, Cambodia. The bus was clean and comfortable. The trip took about 7 hours. We stopped twice, once for a bathroom break and once for lunch. The bus was mostly full of foreigners.

One country, four provinces, six days.
My sisters and I travelled to Cambodia for six days. Our first stop was in Siem Reap. Stayed in Bou Savy Villa (100% recommend). They helped us book our tickets and tuktuk. We were not able to see the sunset and sunrise in Angkor because it was gloomy all day (rainy season).
We had to cut our temple run short because we were so exhausted from arriving day before and waking up very early for the sunrise. Restaurants in Angkor are more expensive than outside or in pub street.
Tips from haggling in Night Market: 1) ask first store for initial pricing, do not buy right away 2)try to walk away first, they will lower down price 3)you can now haggle to other stores with a lower price 4)$1-$2 for shirt and elephant pants is okay BUT i dont recommend shopping in siem reap night market, you may haggle at a lower price but the quality is very poor unless you find something with better quality. (SEE my Phnom Penh vlog soon for my opinion in phnom penh's clothing quality)

Angkor Temples Tour - $37 per person
Amazon Angkor Restaurant (Buffet dinner with Traditional Cambodian Dance) - $10 per person
Angkor National Musuem - $12 per person
Phare, The Cambodian Circus (section C) - $18 per person
Lunch in Srah Srang - $15
Dinner in pub street - $13
Mineral Water - $1
Tuktuk (buy angkor tickets, angkor wat sunset, dinner, night market/pub street) - $15
