Island of Sri Lanka is not only a place to see thousands of elephants, or hundreds o them at once, but it is a place to see the largest whales in the world. Along its coasts, the blue ocean is full of dolphins and whales. The whale watching season in Sri Lanka runs from November to April / May, as during the rest of the year, the waters will be too rough because of the Monsoon. One of the best places is Mirrissa Beach, a small tourist town that is also a very hospitable place to visit. Enjoy the footage.

Swimming (or snorkeling, or freediving) with blue whales is always complicated by poor visibility, because blue whales prefer to be in waters full of plankton. And some times when rushing towards a blue whale you suddenly find yourself much closer to the whale than you expected and you have to stop immideatly in order to avoid collision with the giant. It was an experience to never forget. Travel far into the ocean, but once we got out there, we could see the whale go up and down in the water. You could see the mist from their blow holes, We saw a whale dive down and lift its tail out of the water and into the air. Beautiful!

Y salimos a correr de nuevo en el viajeee! Esta vez tocaron playas y mucho mucho calor. Weligama y Mirissa, claramente dos sitios a los que hay que venir si pasas por Sri Lanka.
Primer día que hago 10km corriendo después de la lesión ritmo de 4'40/km y con mejores sensaciones en la rodilla aunque el calor apretaba y sufrí bastante.
