ABC was always in our to do list. This year being our 10th year together, we decided to capture the moments in the Himalayas. Have done plenty of treks before but this has been the best experience with highs and lows with memories to last a lifetime. The moment we started the hike we were mesmerized by the natural beauty of Nepal. It got better as we climbed higher and the urge to explore Nepal has become stronger. Nepal is truly blessed and beautiful.
Day 1 - PKR to Siwai on Jeep/Car, Trek from Siwai to Chomrong
Day 2 - Chomrong to Himalaya (Acclimatization)
Day 3 - Himalaya to ABC
Day 4 - ABC to Chomrong (Early start as it will be a long day)
Day 5 - Chomrong to Jhindu Hot Springs then Siwai to catch bus to PKR (that last bus leaves around 1530 hrs)
It's best to stay at MBC one day for aclimatization, if you don't feel well (altitude sickness). The most important thing is to hydrate yourself really well during your trek.

A while ago, did a short trek to Sikles from Pokhara via Chasu. It was an easy trek, walk through bank of Madi river and paddy fields, surrounded by fresh lush green forest. Unfortunately while at Sikles the weather didn't clear up so couldn't get the closer view of Eastern Annapurna range, especially Annapurna II. If you be there in a clear day the mountain view is like no other from Sikles. Took a different way to return Pokhara leaving the Madi bank down below. Places and village been through or spotted: Chasu,Yangjakot, Upper Madi Hydropower project, Tangting, Parche, Khilang, Chipli, Taprang, Thak to name the few. Enjoy the footages, been able to pick through a cheap Chinese mobile phone, drop comment with your view on it or give it a thumbs up if you like the video.

Trekking Sarangkot | Pokhara | Nepal（徒步萨朗科 ）
Sarangkot is a former Village Development Committee west of Pokhara in Kaski District Gandaki Zone. In 2015, it was annexed to Pokhara 26. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a total population of 5,060 with 1,010 individual households.[1]
The village is located on Sarangkot mountain at an altitude of 1600m and is renowned for its panoramic Himalayan views Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu as well as down on the city of Pokhara and Phewa lake. In recent years, Sarangkot has become a hotspot for paragliding.

This video is from Himalayas Annapurna Base Camp Pokhara, Nepal. We walked 10 to 18 km each day. Annapurna base camp covers around 115 km (4130 m). This trek is very popular and packed with trekkers all around the world.
It was such a profound and beautiful experience to explore the majestic beauty of Himalayas, cried just watching clouds are passing by, played with kids, practised yoga and meditate, shared stories with locals, felt the strength of sherpa people carrying 20 to 25 kg weight each day, and poon Hill Sunrise Trek.
We finished trekking within 6 and half days without any Training, Sticks and Guided Tour. Thanks to cristina.carnevali for such a great companionship and also talking all the beautiful Yoga pics. You're such a beautiful and inspiring person.
From my experience, I truly believe Life is about the journey, not a destination. Once you find your Purpose, life becomes meaningful then it doesn't matter how many times life hit you hard but every time you rise and shine like a star.
Never take life for granted. Always be humble, open and willing to learn from others.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek in Nepal
I wanted to find a short 4-5 day hike starting from Pokhara, Nepal that had comfortable tea houses to sleep in each night and a nice view of the Himalayan mountains up top. Read the entire blog post at
After getting altitude sickness and severely cold on my Annapurna Circuit attempt, I was glad to see that the maximum altitude for the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek was only 3,210m which is 10,531ft. Also even though the viewpoint at Poon Hill gets close to freezing at 2C/36F, at least it wouldn't get down to -20C like Thorlong Pass on the Annapurna Circuit or Everest Base Camp hikes. I figured the Poon Hill trek would be much easier, allow me to go alone without a porter or guide, and would be an easy start and finish in Pokhara. It turns out that I would be mostly right, but wanted to share this blog post to help guide others who are thinking about doing the same short trek in Nepal.
In this post I'll share the itenary of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, my packing list, where I stayed, and tips about getting to and from Pokhara via bus or taxi as well as a breakdown of what each day was like. I also filmed a 15 minute video that shows bits from each day so you can see how the trek feels, sounds and looks before you go, accompanied by a 1 hour podcast episode recorded live on the trek with clips from people I met along the way! This was a fun hike, that is really popular to do because it's easy to navigate, while still being physically challenging and offering some amazing views. Normally I don't make videos this long, but since I have been getting some requests for longer videos, I decided to try something a little different with this video and try something a little more like a documentary of reality type of show.
Nepal was truly an amazing country, and part of the reason I visited was to do a trek in the Himalayas, a dream of mine. So after spending some time in Kathmandu, we took a bus to Pokhara in order to check out the situation and arrange our Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in the Annapurna mountain range, located just an hour drive from the city of Pokhara.
We started things off by first taking a taxi from Pokhara to Nayapul which cost 1500 Nepali Rupees. This is a popular starting point for the hike and there were several other groups also beginning. Our first day we trekked from the town of Nayapul to the town of Tikhedunga. For most of day one, we walked along a gravel road, passing villagers, homes, and farms along the way. We took a break to eat lunch, and I ate something known as dal bhat, which is rice with mixed vegetables and dal soup. As we continued to hike, the views became better and better, but nothing compared to what we'd see in the following days. We finally arrived to Tikhedunga, and our small guest house was located at the top of a small hill, next to a stream. It was a beautiful quiet location and the atmosphere was amazing, as was the fresh air. For dinner that night I enjoyed a plate of rice accompanied by a can of fish which I had brought and a plate of fried noodles.
On day two of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek I woke up early and ate breakfast. In order to save money, I had brought some bags of muesli, which is very cheap to buy in Pokhara or Kathmandu. I also purchased a cup of chai from the guest house. After a lovely breakfast we continued hiking the trail en-route today to Ghorepani, the town at the peak of our trek. The trail was gorgeous and we climbed up and up and up, taking frequent little breaks to drink water and to chow down on power snacks like peanuts and some chocolate. For lunch we took a break at a local restaurant where I ordered dal bhat along with some delicious buffali sukuti, dried meat. It was pretty delicious and some needed protein. The views were absolutely marvelous, and the highlight of the day was catching the first glimpse of the ice covered Himalayan peaks of Nepal! On day two of the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek, we arrived to Ghorepani extremely tired, hungry, and cold. We checked in to our guest house, showered, put on our warm down jackets which we had rented, and then enjoyed sipping on hot cups of tea by the fire. It began to hail and snow, but we could still see the unbelievable views of the Annapurna mountains. We decided to sleep quite early as the next day we were going to wake up early in the morning to climb to the top of Poon Hill for the sunrise view of the Himalayas.

So, here's the full video of our recent trip to Ghandruk. It was a very short trek, we completed it in about three days.
On the first day, we went to Pokhara (from Kathmandu) by air and directly took a bus to the village of Ghandruk. We did this because we reached Pokhara quite late (unfortunately) and we couldn't make it to the village by foot. We took a huge local bus and got ready to go but we were completely unaware about the frightening roadway. The way up to the village was very narrow and dangerous. Luckily, we reached there safely. I personally don't recommend taking a bus from Nayapul to Ghandruk as the roads are very dangerous. As we got down the bus, the sun was about to set and we were blown away to see the view of the mountains. I had never got a chance to see mountains that close before so I was really excited. We watched the sunset from our hotel ,Peace Lodge and didn't do anything much that evening cause we were exhausted by the scary bus journey. The next day, we woke up early, took some pictures of the sunrise and went for a little walk around the village. Ghandruk is one of the best locations for the spectacular panoramic view of the mountains like Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhre and Himchuli. It is indeed a very beautiful village inhabited by kind and welcoming Gurung people. We took our breakfast and then we started our actual trek.
Our trek was like : Ghandruk -----Landruk -4.5 hours (downhill 2.5 hours and uphill 2 hours)-----Pothana (almost 3 hours from Landruk)-------Australian Base Camp (45 minutes from Pothana)-----Kade (1 hour downhill). We completed this in like three days and went back to Pokhara by bus (from Kade).
