A TASTE OF SPAIN. #TASTEOFSPAIN #Malaga #Cadiz #Seville #Malaga is the capital of Costa del Sol, #Malaga is famous for #espetos and #vinodulce, and #PabloPicasso was born right in the centre of this town. #Espeto is #seafood, if you ask anybody around here, they'll say that espeto is fish on skewer. The #FrituraMalagueña is also well known around here and this is deep fry fish which is very crunchy and tasty served with lemon.
In the heart of Malaga we have the most popular restaurant in town, they serve tapas outdoors and indoors , is a restaurant, bar and cellar. #ElPimpi is situated inside an old 18th century #Málaga mansion house and is one of the longest-standing bodega bars in #Málaga, where you can enjoy local food & wines and, above all, the culture & traditions of southern #Spain. Loads of celebrities from all around the world but mainly Spanish, had posted and sing their pictures on the walls, like Antonio Banderas, who is from Malaga.
When we woke up, we had breakfast in one of the most beautiful places on earth, #MIjas,
and the typical breakfast here, like in the whole region is a Pitufo with a Nube. Pitufo means Smurf, and is made out of bread, tomato and garlic. And a regular late is call Nube, which it means cloud. Just because the put a tiny bit of milk to make it whiter.
After our marvellous breakfast we head down to Marbella and went for lunch at Aixela Salamanca. We had some stunning Pata Negra Ham and here Antonio Jamon Es Torremolinos explained us the difference between a regular and Pata Negra Ham and it is so worth watching his explanation on this video.
When we visited Tarifa we found out that here the beaches were absolutely wild and the wind blows all year round making the perfect spot for kite surfers to come on holidays. After crossing the sand dunes we had lunch at a fantastic spot and local restaurant We had choosen Sargo fish which is locally sourced, using traditional methods to fish it and they served it to us beautifully!
We kept travelling south to reach Cadiz, the oldest city in Spain, famous for its Carnival and Tortilla de camarones. Cadiz is situated on a narrow slice of land surrounded by the sea which it prevent the city growing any bigger. It conserves the architecture from the 15th century and here they call it the little Havana. We visited a local establishment for dinner and it was the most popular and busiest bar in the old town of Cadiz LasFlores
We had so many different tapas made of fish, meat and veggie for such an extraordinary good price that we never wanted to leave this place!
And it’s not because it wasn’t enough but because we had to visit Seville, we went to the capital of Flamenco, where they held Cristobal Columbus buried at the biggest Cathedral in Spain and its labyrinthine streets smell like tapas everywhere. How lovely this place it is I thought to myself and lucky enough our friend Vicente took us to this emblematic tapas restaurant
We had a variety of tapas, coquinas ( small clams), spinach stew with chickpeas, deep fried goats cheese and cod croquettes all beautifully cooked and excellent prices.
And to finish a day off of walking and eating we had a cocktail with expectacular views at highly recommend it if you fancy a view of the city.

How Locals Do Tapas in Spain on Travel with Kate
Tapas and Spain go together like baguettes and France. As promised here is my first episode from Sevilla, Spain chasing my passions and my storybook vacation with Expedia. In this video, a local, David Ciudad of the website Notjustatourist.com, showed me a couple of his most beloved restaurants in the Triana neighborhood of Sevilla.
Triana is a bustling part of town that is markedly different from the rest of the city. The concentration of historic architecture and manicured gardens found across the river in Sevilla are replaced here by a vibrant local scene. Triana has it's own festivals and is a hub of Flamenco culture. In fact, many who live in Triana identify as Trianeros rather than Sevillians.
Whether in Triana, in Sevilla-proper or Spain at large, I find that eating tapas is a really fun and social way to dine. Often in bars like we visited in the video you have the option to stay standing while eating or you can find a seat. Tapas are best enjoyed by sharing and trying as many tastes as you can. With all the flavors, I tend to feel more satisfied after a meal of tapas than if I do with regularly coursed meals. All that variety makes for a special experience.

????Don't Fall for this Gypsy Scam in Seville (Sevilla), Spain. Vlog 52
A group of Gypsy Women are on the prowl everyday in the tourist area of Seville, Spain. They are usually congregated close to the large Gothic Cathedral and they offer you something for free. Don't take it! It's all part of the scam, later they ask you for money. If you don't comply, they can get very aggressive. I even had one chasing me around with the rosemary, trying to get me to take it from them. They will try and target foreigners, so beware of this scam in Sevilla!

We’ve all heard it—Spain is the land of bull fighting, siestas and sangria! And while there may be some truth to these stereotypes, we’re here to debunk one completely—don’t order sangria in Spain!* While sangria is a delicious drink, and one that does originate in Spain, it’s simply not what most locals order at bars. A good sangria takes time for flavors to develop, and you just can’t expect that sort of dedication at your standard tapas bar. If you do order a sangria, you’ll most likely be served a sugary glass of overpriced bad wine. Instead, do as the locals do and order a tinto de verano (summer wine). This refreshing mix of red wine and lemon soda is just as refreshing as a glass of well-made sangria, and it’s going to be much better than most sangria you find in tapas bars around the city!
*Of course, if you’re visiting a bar well-known for its sangria, and you see other locals ordering and enjoying it, order away—but keep in mind this is not the norm!

Seville is one of the most amazing places in Spain to eat tapas. It has a fantastic mix of old school, traditional tapas bars, and modern, new tapas bars. It’s the capital of Andalusia and where the tapas tradition truly began. But if you want to get away from the tourist centre, and hit some very local and atmospheric tapas bars that are filled with locals and serve delicious food - then you need to head to Triana. It’s just over the Guadalquivir River and is a neighbourhood that has always had a very strong sense of identity. Locals say, I’m not from Seville, I’m from Triana!
In this video I head to five super local tapas bars in the Triana neighbourhood. We try everything from jamón to shrimp to pork cheek to tortilla. And we drinks wines, vermouth and sherry. I’m joined by some of my Devour Tours colleagues on the journey. So, if you want to have a truly local tapas experience in a real Sevilla neighbourhood, I suggest checking out these five places. Sevilla = Seville is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Andalusia and the province of Seville, Spain. It is situated on the plain of the river Guadalquivir. The inhabitants of the city are known as sevillanos (feminine form: sevillanas) or hispalenses, after the Roman name of the city, Hispalis. Seville has a municipal population of about 690,000 as of 2016, and a metropolitan population of about 1.5 million, making it the fourth-largest city in Spain and the 30th most populous municipality in the European Union. Its Old Town, with an area of 4 square kilometres (2 sq mi), contains three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Alcázar palace complex, the Cathedral and the General Archive of the Indies. The Seville harbour, located about 80 kilometres (50 miles) from the Atlantic Ocean, is the only river port in Spain. Seville is also the hottest major metropolitan area in the geographical Southwestern Europe, with summer average high temperatures of above 35 °C (95 °F).
Seville was founded as the Roman city of Hispalis. It became known as Ishbiliyya after the Muslim conquest in 712. During the Muslim rule in Spain, Seville came under the jurisdiction of the Caliphate of Córdoba before becoming the independent Taifa of Seville; later it was ruled by the Muslim Almoravids and the Almohadsuntil finally being incorporated into the Christian Kingdom of Castile under Ferdinand III in 1248.[3] After the discovery of the Americas, Seville became one of the economic centres of the Spanish Empire as its port monopolised the trans-oceanic trade and the Casa de Contratación (House of Trade) wielded its power, opening a Golden Age of arts and literature. In 1519, Ferdinand Magellan departed from Seville for the first circumnavigation of the Earth. Coinciding with the Baroque period of European history, the 17th century in Seville represented the most brilliant flowering of the city's culture; then began a gradual economic and demographic decline as silting in the Guadalquivir forced the trade monopoly to relocate to the nearby port of Cádiz.
The 20th century in Seville saw the tribulations of the Spanish Civil War, decisive cultural milestones such as the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929 and Expo '92, and the city's election as the capital of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
