Little miss CAN be wrong - Not Quite Enough Yarn, July 2019
“Little miss CAN be wrong”
Hello my lovelies.
My name is Lesley and I thank you for coming to view the July 2019 Episode of the “Not Quite Enough Yarn” podcast; this month I present to you a miscellany of mistakes, a catalogue of cock-ups, an album of errors. Proof, if it were needed, that we all get it wrong sometimes.

This is the story of my attempt at a yarn diet, working my way through the stash, but with rarely enough of each single colour to make a sweater.
Thanks so much for watching. Please feel free to add any thoughts, queries or questions to the comments box below.
Hope you enjoy it.

A DAY OUT AT THORPE PARK!
Hey guys! This is a vlog from when I visited Thorpe Park with a bunch of my YouTube friends. We had such a fun time and I was shocked at how much fun a UK Theme Park could actually be! Thanks to Thorpe Park for letting us come along :)
Thorpe Park, styled THORPE PARK Resort, is a theme park with a hotel in between the towns of Chertsey and Staines-upon-Thames, Surrey, England, UK. It is operated and owned by Merlin Entertainments.

The Strange Tale of Bladud of Bath
The strange myth of Bladud of Bath, one of London's most ancient and curious legends, first appears in the semi-fabulous mythic histories of the Mediaeval Chronicler Geoffrey of Monmouth. Although at face value a real ripping yarn which is more than likely completely untrue, the story most probably contains a hidden meaning behind the mythological facade and is undoubtedly part of London's Living Da Vinci Code of symbolic myth and legend....
Short extract from 'Legendary London: London's Living Da Vinci Code'; first shown at the Portobello Film Festival December '07 Annual Film Maker's Convention. For more about 'Legendary London' hit:

I believe most of the lichen I'm using in this episode is parmotrema perlatum, foraged from Savernake Forest.

Mrs. Mee, her husband, and her sister ran a yarn and needlework import/warehouse business in Bath, England. Her books primarily contain practical everyday items that knit up quickly with the busy homemaker in mind. At this time, published knitting 'receipts' did not contain abbreviations and were laborious to use. They were, however, rich in error! Later in her career, due to circumstances of war and the resulting social stress and poverty, many of her knitting books were printed for ladies' charitable societies, which used her knitting 'receipts' to clothe the poor mill workers who were out of work due to the American Civil War and the embargo of cotton. In addition to recording the original patterns, LibriVox knitters have also knitted samples of these patterns, displayed at the KnitWiki, and have attempted to condense and clarify the patterns for the enjoyment of modern day knitters.
