I took a walk through ACDC Lane (named in honor of the band) and the connected Duckboard Place, checking out the graffiti and street art along the walls. The lane is home to the famous Cherry Bar. Located in the Central Business District of Melbourne, Australia. Shot in August 2017.

The City Council unanimously voted to rename the street AC/DC Lane as a tribute to the iconic Australian rock band. AC/DC Lane runs right through a part of the city teeming with rock ‘n roll bars and venues. It passes right by the Cherry Bar, one of Melbourne’s most famous rock joints.

You’ll find more than just music fans wandering the short street. The little lane is also home to a vivid display of street art, which adds an additional jolt of creative energy to the already artistic atmosphere. And of course, much of the art shows musical scenes. One of the most striking pieces is an image of AC/DC lead vocalist Bon Scott looking as though he’s just burst through a brick wall, microphone in hand.

Part of an animated guide around the city of Melbourne.
Started as a university project to show our skills as media students and our love for Melbourne City.

Each video was filmed by us with hand drawn animations over top that were done frame-by-frame, our original goal was to include animated monsters to add a fantasy aspect but due to time constraints that had to be scraped but if we plan to continue this project outside of our studies the animated monsters will be added in.
