Victoria's Farms. Episode 5
ENGLISH:
After a few months next to the ocean, working, training, discovering, partying, and surfing, I felt fulfilled and was time for me to go toward a new experience.
I heard a lot about the various farms spread around Australia, thus, I started to send a few CVs online in order to work in one of these. After a couple of days, a dairy farmer from the state of Victoria replied to me, saying that he wanted me to go over his farm and help him out with the milking process.
Therefore, I left the “luxury” of Bondi Beach in order to go in the middle of a smelly farm.
Over there I met another guy who was recently hired as well, Dan, who I shared part of the house and work duties with.

Hot Deserts - Secrets of World Climate, Episode 4
THE HOTTEST PLACES on our earth. Endless expanses of bare rock and dunes. And yet also the location of amazing cities, and rich cultures, both past and present. Separating the tropics from the temperate latitudes, these are the climates of the hot deserts of Planet Earth.
See this part of the planet like you've never seen it before in a new and original Earth documentary written and produced by GeoDiode.
The fourth episode in a series exploring all the major climate zones of the world, here we show this part of the world in its full beauty, and uncover the secrets of why it is that way and show you the cities that lie within its influence.
From the Mojave, Sonora and Chihuahuan deserts of south-west United States (including the hottest place on Earth - Death Valley) and northern Mexico, through the arid coast of Peru, and the Gran Chaco of north-west Argentina, the Americas feature unique biomes of aridity and heat.
The largest of all deserts, the Sahara, spanning the vast northern stretches of Africa, and continuing east into the Horn of Africa and the Middle East and beyond into southern Iran, Pakistan and western India - the central continents of Earth have the greatest areas of hot and dry lands anywhere on the planet.
In southern Africa, the Namib and Kalahari deserts offer a counterpoint to their much greater northern brother.
Lastly, the majority of the island continent is covered by the endless plains of the Red Heart of Australia, and the Outback - the Great Sandy, Victoria and Gibson deserts.
Once home to incredible civilisations of the past, and highlighted by the ancient Egyptians of the Nile, Petra of Jordan and the Mughal Emperors of Agra and its stunning Taj Mahal mauseleom, the deserts are now home to incredible, almost near-future looking cities like Las Vegas and Dubai that glitter in the clear desert night.
Countries that feature deserts in this video:
United States (California, Nevada, Arizona), Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Namibia, Pakistan, India, Australia
Cities featured in this video that lie within the hot desert, mild desert, semi-arid and steppe climates:
Las Vegas Nevada, Phoenix Arizona, Monterrey, Lima, Marrakech, Cairo, Baghdad, Dubai, Khartoum, Mogadishu, Karachi, Alice Springs.

We have been on the Road since the beginning of December 2018. Started in Sydney and hoping to finish in London around September 2019. All we have are our 2 Suzuki DR650s. This is Episode 1 of our little adventure.
Australia... A massive country with stupidly long stretches of straight roads. But there is so so much more to it than that. We jam packed in a lot into our first 2 weeks of this adventure of ours. Wild camping in the snowy mountains, sunrises at The 12 Apostles, sunsets at Uluru. Hanging out with old and new friends. This is just a little highlight reel of our action packed time.
Enjoy

Ken and Margaret Richmond's Opal Search, Perth, Fremantle Western Australia 2007 PART 2 OF 2
The mineraloid opal is amorphous SiO2·nH2O; hydrated silicon dioxide, the water content sometimes being as high as 20% but is usually between three and ten percent. Opal ranges from colorless through white, milky blue, gray, red, yellow, green, brown and black. Common opal is truly amorphous, but precious opal does have a structural element. The word opal comes from the Sanskrit upala, the Greek opallios, and the Latin opalus, meaning precious stone. [edit] Sources of opal Australia produces around 97% of the worlds opal. 90% is called light opal or white and crystal opal. White makes up 60% and all the opal fields produce white opal; Crystal opal or pure hydrated silica makes up 30%; 8% is black and only 2% is boulder opal. The town of Coober Pedy in South Australia is a major source of opal. Another Australian town, Lightning Ridge in New South Wales, is the main source of black opal, opal containing a predominantly dark background (dark-gray to blue-black displaying the play of color). Boulder opal consists of concretions and fracture fillings in a dark siliceous ironstone matrix. It is found sporadically in western Queensland, from Kynuna in the north, to Yowah and Koroit in the south. Ken and Margaret Richmond
Quando la pioggia rende un posto... MAGICO! - Lake Ballard, WA [ENG subs]
