Amazing Kapa Haka performance, Raukura, Matariki festival 2019
Matariki Festival 2019, ASB Theatre, Aotea Centre
We went to Auckland city to see Kapa Haka performance at Aotea Centre on Saturday. This event was the part of Matariki Festiva 2019, which celebrates the Māori new year from 22 June to 14 July 2019.
The information below is from Aotea Centre website
Celebrate the dynamic art form of kapa haka. Enjoy exhilarating live performances from local group and current Te Matatini champions Ngā Tūmanako, reigning National Secondary Schools title-holder Raukura from Rotorua, and a host of other powerful kapa haka from around the country.
This year Te Taumata Kapa Haka features the prowess of seasoned professionals and school groups on the same stage, for one day only. Don’t miss the power of kapa haka as a force to bring people of all backgrounds together.
The information below is from Wikipedia
Kapa haka is the term for Māori performing arts and literally means 'group' (kapa) and 'dance' (haka). Kapa haka is an avenue for Māori people to express and showcase their heritage and cultural Polynesian identity through song and dance.

Wynyard Quarter - Before and after stage one
Auckland's waterfront is going through one of the largest urban regenerations in New Zealand, evolving form an industrial port area that was closed off to the public to a place where people can live and visit, be entertained and do business.
In 2011 the first stage of Wynyard Quarter redevelopment opened providing new places and spaces right next to the water's edge.
But that is just the first stage, within the next few years the waterfront will continue to develop with new places to live and work, a 5-star hotel and new streets and parks.

Auckland Conventions - Aotea Centre
Opened in 1990, Aotea Centre was designed around specially commissioned works by some of New Zealand's most famous contemporary artists. This emphasis on design, together with large expanses of space bathed in natural day light, make it the ideal location for both business and pleasure. For more information check out our website:

Brand New Retail Shops For Sale In Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand
Retail Property for sale in New Zealand. These shops for sale in New Zealand are located on Queen Street in the heart of downtown Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand.
NEW ZEALAND'S MOST EXCITING RETAIL DEVELOPMENT
396 Queen Street, Auckland, New Zealand
14 Shops under contract in 1st week of sales commencing.
Queens Lane is part of a $50 Million Redevelopment of 396 Queen Street, in Auckland, New Zealand.
Comprising a total of 42 retail shops, the $50 million Queens Lane redevelopment will revitalize the prominent street corner of Queen St and Mayoral Drive into a modern luxury shopping destination providing a magnet to over 10,500 people that pass the property each weekday on average, says Auckland Commercial Property Sales & Leasing Specialist Millie Liang.
The highly prized 100 metres of prime street frontage embracing Queen Street and Mayoral Drive has been carefully designed to provide 22 shops with street frontage and signage exposure and total flexibility of business use and opening hours.
The 20 shops within the Lane at Queens Lane have been specifically designed to provide a luxurious boutique retail environment providing a variety of food, fashion and luxury goods.
The Lane features rich arabescato marble floors and macassar ebony walls which bring international design standards to Queen Street retailing.
The exterior of Queens Lane has been totally redesigned to stand the test of time and will be clad in white marble and back lit opaque glass panels providing a quality shopping destination to the ever increasing customer base of over 60,000 university students, 24,000 apartments, numerous international educational facilities, the Town Hall, Q Theatre, Aotea Centre, Imax, Event Cinemas, Public Library, universities, apartment residents and visitors to Auckland.
Planned to open in early 2013, the shops can be secured on a low deposit and are being sold on a freehold unit title basis with prices ranging from an affordable $195,000 to $835,000, with projected rental returns of between 7% and 12% when leased.
Westpac Banking Corporation has announced they will provide 60% finance to qualifying investors purchasing shops in the up market Queens Lane development.
A unique and important feature of each shop's design and construction is the inclusion of 3 phase power, water, drainage, access to grease trap and ventilation /extractor ducting.
This provides long term flexibility for any business use the owner may choose.
The shops come complete with marble floors, ceilings and lighting.
