Greta Thunberg and George Monbiot make short film on the climate crisis

Environmental activists Greta Thunberg and George Monbiot have helped produce a short film highlighting the need to protect, restore and use nature to tackle the climate crisis. Living ecosystems like forests, mangroves, swamps and seabeds can pull enormous quantities of carbon from the air and store them safely, but natural climate solutions currently receive only 2% of the funding spent on cutting emissions. The film’s director, Tom Mustill of Gripping Films, said: 'We tried to make the film have the tiniest environmental impact possible. We took trains to Sweden to interview Greta, charged our hybrid car at George’s house, used green energy to power the edit and recycled archive footage rather than shooting new.'

In today's travel vlog, i will be exploring the beautiful coastal town of lagos in the algarve region of southern Portugal. During my time in lagos i went to some amazing beaches including praia dona ana, camilo beach, Praia do Pinhao and also make the hike up to ponta da piedade to get an awesome view of the cliffs and beaches. I went for a look around the town of lagos, hired a kayak for a few hours and went around to explore the beaches and cliffs on water, as well as going to ponta da piedade for one of the most breathtaking sunsets i have ever witnessed. I absolutely loved lagos and i would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit portugal or even europe. I will definitely return to portugal to explore some more of the algarve region.

or an iPhone MX Max

For the audio, I use a Tascam Dr-10CS and use a Sennheiser ME 2 lapel microphone clipped to my lifejacket or shirt. I also have a Rycote 065514 Universal Lavalier Windjammer for the microphone

*For the drone shots, I use: a DJI Mavic Pro and film in 4K

* For the really nice static shots:
I use a Sony FDR-AX100EB Ultra HD 4K Camcorder This has a Hama UV Filter, coated, 62mm lens on the front to protect the camera I have a JJC MSA-MIS Cold Mount Adapter Converter on the top of the camera that holds the RØDE VideoMic GO microphone and to protect it from the wind noise I use a RØDE DeadCat GO Microphone Wind Shield

Flame Gulping Engine

This is a video of the flame gulper engine pictured on the Models page of my Engineman website. The fuel is alcohol. It was made from plans in the February 1950 issue of Popular Science. Modifications were made to replace the castings originally specified, as I doubt they were available forty-odd years later. My model has run a lot - whenever visitors drop by and at a few exhibitions.
