In this episode , he goes hunting for some of these cannons , hidden in plain-sight on present day streets of #Mumbai , their glory and use , now all but lost.

Found Guns of War at Alibaug Beach Sea Water Fort Near Mumbai 2019 Vlog
#alibaug #alibaugdiaries Alibaug is famous for its forts, most of them are more than 500 years old. These forts had many ancient artifacts and treasures within their confines before the British laid their eye upon them while sequentially invading India and ultimately becoming its rulers. The East India Company initially did business with India and slowly began to use clever tactics to divide this vibrant and diverse country in order to weaken it at its core. In those days the Marathas were the most powerful people in India because of the guidance and bravery of kings like Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj who tried his best to unite India. To some extent he was successful and India was almost free from the clutches of the Mughals. After the death of Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhaji Maharaj, his son came to power and took his ideals forward and won many battles. Kanhoji Angre had a big role to play in the defence of the kingdom and was the first Chief of Navy in India almost 400 years ago. MISSION ALIBAUG was successful. He was definitely a force to reckon with. He was probably the only person in history who defeated the combined attack of The British and Portuguese in the 16th century at the this fort. It is known as the Kolaba fort but after his death, the British took over it and sold everything off at multi millionaire auctions in London, England. There were tonnes of gold, silver and diamonds along with swords, battle armour, sculptures, etc that were sold off for more than 1 billion dollars in total at auctions all over the world. The only things that remain are walls, steps and huge stone entrances which have stood the test of time despite the high tides of the sea. However there have been instances wherein people have found gold and even found diamonds while constructing houses on their plot of land. Many such ancient treasures in India have still not been unearthed but only a lucky few will have access to them in future. The recent find was pots of gold and jewellery in Uttar Pradesh which was an epicentre of the Mahabharata. So along with gold, silver, diamonds, thousands of archaeological finds too have been discovered in remote villages. Over a period of time new powers evolved in India and all that wealth got scattered in different places , Alibaug being one of them. Alibaug is a place full of surprises. Its one of the top places to visit throughout the year. Its closeness to Mumbai makes it the best choice for people seeking some quick weekend fun and pleasure. Its definitely on list of the top weekend getaways from Mumbai. You can either visit here by road from Mumbai or by boat from the Gateway of India. Speedboat options are also available. Mumbai to Alibaug by road takes around 3 hours and by boat it will take you around 45 minutes to reach Mandwa jetty and from there 30 mins to reach amazing Alibaug by road. You can easily plan a OneDay trip if you're coming by boat.

Wax Museum - An attempt to recreate the Madame Tussauds in Lonavla, the celebrity waz museum is a brain child of Mr. Sunil Kandalloor. Having created was museums in couple of other places in India; the Celebrity wax museum at Lonavla is an interesting twist from the other natural attractions. Ekvira Aai-The temple was established by the Pandavas during their exile in the dense forests and since then it is revered by the local tribes. In later times, the goddess Ekvira Mata appeared before the Pandavas and since then it is regarded as a holy place. It is locally believed that when she appeared she instructed them to build a temple there. But she wished to test the work ethic of the Pandavas and she kept a condition that it should be built overnight. To her surprise, the Pandavas made the temple in no time and they managed to impress her. To bless them, the Ekvira Devi granted them a boon that these caves can be their secret exile and no one can discover them at this place. Ekvira Devi was an avatar of Renuka Devi and is worshiped by the local tribes.

LAHORE VS MUMBAI:Intresting comparing Facts about this woderful cities. updated 2018
LAHORE VS MUMBAI:Intresting comparing Facts about this woderful cities updated 2018
Mumbai
Mumbai, earlier known as Bombay, is the capital of Maharashtra and the largest city of India. Mumbai initially was the accumulation of seven islands on the Konkan coastline, which with the passage of time joined to form island city of Bombay. It further joined Salsette islands in the neighbourhood to form Greater Bombay. Bombay got its name from Bom Bahia, meaning Beautiful Bay, given by a Portuguese. This was later popularised as Bombay state by the British. Current name of Bombay is Mumbai. More so, many say that Mumbai happens to be its original name, which is derived from Mumba, a local Hindu Goddess Mumbadevi, and Aai, means mother in Marathi. However, its name was on the records changed from Bombay to Mumbai in 1995.
Mumbai undeniably is the business capital of India and one of the major port cities in the country. Mumbai has a diverse nature and multi-cultural lifestyle. On one hand, this city is the hometown of Bollywood, and on the other, this city has India's largest slum population. With the huge inflow of migrants, this city welcomes all with open arms. The city developed its identity from these communities that are settled in here. The culture here is a fine amalgamation of festivities, religions, music, food, music and theatres. Mumbai is said to have most active nightlife in comparison to other cities
Lahore
Lahore is home to some significant buildings including many high profile universities and schools, great pieces of historical architecture and museums. The city is referred to as the Paris of the East or the Mughal City of Gardens in reference to the many historical gardens situated around Lahore. Lahore is also the engineering hub of Pakistan with industries such as car manufacture, heavy machinery, steel, IT, chemicals and computers all contributing to its 13.2% contribution to Pakistan’s national economy. It is currently ranked 122nd largest in the world for GDP with an average growth rate of nearly 6%.

Kondivite Caves | २००० हज़ार साल पुरानी अंधेरी मुंबई की बौद्ध गुफाएँ | Mahakali Caves
#kondivitecaves#buddhistcaves#mumbaicaves#mahakalicaves
Kondivite Caves (Mahakali caves) are an integral part of Ancient Buddhist culture. This Buddhist caves are 2000 years old. Like the Kondivite Caves ( Mahakali caves ), there are many ancient caves which are known for Ancient Buddhist art culture.
But due to encroachment on many Buddhist caves for many years, they have been lost, however their names have also been changed. Therefore, today they are known by different names.
So, as an Indian citizen, I want to appeal, that if people visit this place for tourism, then this tour should be done keeping in mind that this is a Buddhist shrine. And respect it.
Especially do not treat this place as picnic spots, selfie points, wedding shoots places, Film shoots places, etc. Also, a genuine request as to not consume alcohol, smoke cigarette, or any such drugs, and especially if the young generation of passion come to visit, it should not be considered a couples point and behave appropriately.
I hope that as Indian citizens, we should support the Indian government in saving our Indian art and culture.

The Kondivite Caves, also mahakali Caves, are a group of 19 rock-cut monuments built between 1st century BCE and 6th century CE.
This Buddhist monastery is located in the eastern suburb of Andheri in the city of Mumbai (Bombay) in western India. Monument consists of two groups of rock-cut caves - 4 caves more to the north-west and 15 caves more to the south-east. Most caves are viharas and cells for monks, but Cave 9 of south-eastern group is chaitya. Caves in north-west have been created mainly in 4th - 5th century, while south-eastern group is older. Monument contains also rock-cut cisterns and remnants of other structures.
Caves are carved out of a solid black basalt rock,(volcanic trap breccias, prone to weathering).
The largest cave at Kondivite (Cave 9) has seven depictions of the Buddha and figures from Buddhist mythology but all are mutilated.
The road that connects these monuments to Andheri Kurla Road is named Mahakali Caves Road after it. The caves are located on a hill that overlooks the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road and the SEEPZ++ area.
A Direct bus run by the BEST links the caves with Andheri station. The caves was in danger of being encroached upon, now it is steel fenced on the road side and walled on the hill side.
