Back in May of this year my wife and I took a cross country trip across the USA to the Abacos Islands in the Bahamas. Little did we know then that the beautiful island paradise we experienced would be devastated 4 months later. Today I'm posting this video in the hopes that it will inspire folks to help our neighbors in the Bahamas in their moment of need. We took a day to rent a car in Marsh Harbour and drive to Treasure Cay. Treasure Cay boasts a beautiful 3 1/2 mile long white sand beach that was named one of the world's top 10 prettiest beaches by National Geographic. Video taken in July 2012.

Cruising from the Abaco Islands aboard a 44' Cruisers Yachts.
In Part 2, I visit: Hope Town, Green Turtle Cay, and Guana Cay. I then return to visit Treasure Cay, Spanish Cay, and West End.

I had the opportunity and pleasure to be a deckhand aboard a 44’ Cruisers Yachts crossing the Gulf Stream and stopping at Hope Town, Orchid Bay Marina in Guana Cay, and back to Green Turtle Cay. In this new journey of mine, seeking a lifestyle change and more adventures, this opportunity was great to expand my basic knowledge of the sea, navigation, boat maintenance, culture, and many other great lessons & stories I received from the captain. We left the boat for repairs in Hope Town and then continued to Treasure Cay, Spanish Cay, and West End before crossing the Gulf Stream back into Port Everglades.

3 days island hopping in the Bahamas. Rented a 26' Dusky and visited the islands on the east side of Great Abaco Island including Green Turtle Cay, Great Guana Cay, Elbow Cay and Marsh Harbor.

We went island hopping through the Abacos stopped at a beautiful area swam across went????????♀️ diving a little and came back to pick fresh cocoanuts for our rum drinks ???????? Enjoy! !Walter and I took off one afternoon to catch some bull reds and had a blast catching and releasing a bunch Enjoy! !
