Ottobeuren Abbey Germany
This is footage recored on a visit to OttobeurenAbbey in September 2014. The town is in Bavaria and it is a Bendictine Abbey.
The music in this film was recorded by the vidoe camaera and the organ was playing informally as we walked around the Abbey. I didnt hae a tripod with me, hence the shaking camera at times, but this was filmed simply as part of our holiday video :-) It is a fabulous church, founded in 764.

Kloster Ettal (Ettal Abbey) - Bavarian Benedictine Monastery
Ettal Abbey (Kloster Ettal) is a Benedictine monastery in the village of Ettal close to Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria, Germany.
Founded in 1330, it originally consisted of a Benedictine double monastery -- a community for men and another for women -- and also a house of the Teutonic Knights.
The original Gothic abbey church was built between 1330 and 1370.

The Abbey Church in Ottobeuren, Germany is the most beautiful church I have seen. There are 3 pipe organs and 13 separate altars in this 350 year old Rococo architechture church which serves both Protestants and Catholics -- each has their own altars and pulpits in the sanctuary. It's very unusual to see human skeletons dressed in velvet in four of the altars.

Große Aufregung in in Ottobeuren
An den letzten Wochenenden haben viele Kinder ihre Kommunion gefeiert, auch Janina aus Ottobeuren. Wir haben Sie schon bei ihren Vorbereitungen zur Erstkommunion mit der Kamera begleitet. Zuerst waren wir beim Basteln der Kommunionskerze im Pfarrheim Ottobeuren dabei, eine Woche später ist der Palmbuschen für Ostersonntag dran gewesen. Gestern war es dann endlich soweit: Janinas Kommunion. Wie es ihr ging und was sie dabei gelernt hat, haben meine Kollegen herausgefunden.

Ministunde in Ottobeuren
Sie sind fester Bestandteil einer jeden heiligen Messe: der liturgische Dienst der Ministranten ist aus dem kirchlichen Leben nicht wegzudenken. Erst in der vergangenen Woche haben wir vom großen Ministrantentag in Mindelheim berichtet. Fast 30 Tausend junge Menschen tun diesen Dienst im Bistum Augsburg. Eine besonders große und jährlich wachsende Ministrantenschar gibt es in Ottobeuren. Dort ist Benjamin Nägele seit zehn Jahren als Oberministrant für die Aus- und Weiterbildung der Messdiener verantwortlich. Wir durften bei einer Ministranten-Stunde dabei sein:
