We are hot, we are fiery, we are the Dragons!
Cwm Draig is the only water polo club in Rhondda Cynon Taf. We consist of junior, senior women and senior men teams, who compete in the Bristol & West Water Polo League and the Welsh Water Polo League for their respective squad level. We have training sessions on Thursdays, 8pm to 9:30pm at Sobell Leisure Centre, and on Wednesdays, 7:30pm to 9pm at Bronwydd Swimming Pool. Additionally, we shall also be training at Bronwydd Swimming Pool in the near-future, with sessions being on Saturday/Sunday at 4pm. We play our home fixtures at either Sobell Leisure Centre or Bronwydd Swimming Pool. Information prior to our fixtures will be available in the News & Updates section of our website or on our Facebook page, with live match coverage on every of our home games.
Our club has achieved many accomplishments through helping our club members reach their potential and progress up to the pinnacle of the sport, including:
A representative in the Great Britain men's national water polo team.
Three club members were selected to represent Wales in the Commonwealth Competition in Scotland in 2014 ahead of the Commonwealth Games.
Several of our Dragons competed for Wales national water polo team in the North Sea Cup, which was held in Denmark in 2015.
Several junior players play for their respective Great Britain national water polo age group teams
26 members representing Wales at inter-regional and international level for various age squads - from Senior Men & Women to Junior Men & Women, Youth Boys & Girls and Academy Boys & Girls.
Winning the 2017 BWWPL Knock-out Cup, bringing the first major trophy the club has ever achieved in its history.

Cwm Draig 5-17 Caerfyrddin | 2000's Welsh Water Polo League
The Dragons were held back by an excellent Carmarthen, and suffered a 5-17 home loss in their second 2018 Welsh League game. Goal scorers were for Cwm Draig: Erin Jones (3), George Jones and Seren Vaughan; for Carmarthen: J. Perry (7), J. Williams (4), M. Taylor (3), M. Dean (2) and J. Williams.
