Wan Chai to Aberdeen Hike (4K Drone & Yi 4K+)
Join us as we hike from Wan Chai to Aberdeen Reservoir on Hong Kong Island.
Our journey starts at Hopewell Centre in Wan Chai, as we catch the Wan Chai Gap Road on our hike. After a steep incline, we hike up Wan Chai Green Trail until we reach the Peak Road. From that point, it's a smooth journey down Aberdeen Reservoir Road. As we pass through the lush Aberdeen Country Park, admire the calm that lies on the other side of Central.
We soon arrive at the Aberdeen Upper Reservoir where you can admire all the views from a bird's eye perspective. But just before the reservoir, there is a foot massage area...what?!?

Kennedy Town (Chinese: 堅尼地城;) is at the western end of Sai Wan on Hong Kong Island in Hong Kong. It was named after Arthur Edward Kennedy, the 7th Governor of Hong Kong from 1872 to 1877. Administratively, it is part of Central and Western District.
Due to its distance from major commercial cores and lack of subway access prior to 2014, town development was less vigorous than in other parts of urban Hong Kong; this was expected to change when the MTR was extended to the area.

Hong Kong trail section 5 & 6 Victoria Harbour to the left, South Side to the right
Section 5 of the Hong Kong trail boasts views that would be hard to beat anywhere in the world. It’s a steep climb, first up to Jardine’s lookout and then to Mount Butler but the path is wide open for most of the way with sweeping city panorama’s on your left and mountains and reservoirs to your right. Section six is an easy decent through the lush Tai Tam valley as you weave through the four reservoirs on your way down to Tai Tam road.
Find Tai Tam reservoir road, just past the cricket club on Wong Nai Chung Gap road and head up till you see a big sign for the Hong Kong and Wilson Trails. The two trails run together for the first part as you make your way up to Jardine’s lookout. Bear right where the two trails part and follow the signs up to Mount Butler. From there steps will take you down to a small park. From here on in the trail is not marked. Bear right down a road to Tai Tam reservoir then continue down Tai Tam reservoir road. Look out for a sign on the left (it’s not obvious) that takes you on a small path to Tai Tam road.

The Southern District faces the South China Sea at the south, and is backed by hills and reservoirs, designated as Country Parks, at the north. The eastern half of the district is semi-rural, with some of Hong Kong's most popular beaches. The western half of the district is partly residential and partly industrial.
he residents of Southern District vary from the Chinese majority to the community of expats. The eastern half containing areas such as Stanley and Repulse Bay is especially popular among expats and affluent locals because of the combination of its close proximity to Central and the wholesome environment. The western half of Southern district is more urbanized and areas such as Aberdeen containing more housing developments than the eastern half.
Large private housing estates in the district include: Baguio Villa, Chi Fu Fa Yuen, Aberdeen Centre, South Horizons, Bel-Air Residence, Redhill Peninsula and Hong Kong Parkview.[2]'
