COBA - TULUM - MEXICO TRAVEL VLOG - The Adventures of Pip & Tobes

Visiting Coba, not far outside Tulum in Mexico, was really interesting - we saw the main temple as well as exploring the grounds and seeing the court of an ancient game. Unfortunately this was when our main vlog camera mic started to play up so a lot of our footage was ruined by sound problems so this is quite a short vlog! We hope you still find it interesting and would recommend a visit to see it for yourself!

The Best Cenotes in Tulum 2020 | Cinematic Sony A7iii travel video

**I put a list (with description, hours, pesos, and google map links) of all the cenotes in this video at the end of this description.**

Where to begin. Tulum was absolutely amazing. Great food and even better cenotes (a sinkhole that contains water) There's about 6000 cenotes in the Yucatan Peninsula so you obviously won't even scratch the surface in visiting them.

Here is the list of cenotes ranked from top to bottom that we visited and featured in this video

1. Grand Cenote ( [8-4:45 daily] [180MXN]
Just a short 10 min drive from the town of Tulum and can be crowded. Go at the beginning of the day or towards the end. We went at noon and it was pretty crowded. But we were able to find a quiet spot and the sun rays hitting the water made it unreal.

2. Cenote Taak Bi Ha ( [8-6 daily] [350MXN]
One of the absolute prettiest cenotes we've been too. Lights are hidden throughout the cave so don't worry if it's not sunny. There are groups that come and go on tours. We had this cenote all to ourselves for almost an hour! Will probably do the tour they offer next time.

3. Casa Cenote ( [9-5 daily] [120MXN]
This cenote is half saltwater half freshwater. So you get to see all sorts of different fish. We recommend taking the tour (cant remember how much extra, not much). We went through small passages, seeing all sorts of fish and even a cayman. Comes with wetsuit, fins, and snorkel. Awesome cenote but definately colder.

4. Cenote Nic Te Ha ( [8-5 daily] [100MXN]
A very clean cenote that had absolutely no one there when we visited. It definatly had the most little fish in this with lily pads galore. Has a good walking bridge which is really good for pictures. We went at 4 during a weekday and had no one come while we were there.

5. Dos Ojos ( [8-5 daily] [350MXN]
One of the most popular cenotes but for a good reason. There's two cenotes (aka two eye cenote). The first one you come across is the most popular and also the starting point if you want to do the scuba tour. We found the water the most clean and blue out of everyone we went too. It honestly wasn't too crowded when we were there. The second cenote is a cool cave looking one but definately felt a lot dirtier with a lot of bats in this one.

2 other cenotes that aren't near Tulum but were in this video (We hit up these cenotes along with Chicen Itza on our drive back to Cancun to make a day out of it)

6. Chichen Suyten ( [8-7 daily] [120MXN]
Go between 11-2 for pictures (the sun beam has picturesque rays that shine into cave) It was extremely crowded and the water was dark and they make you wear life jackets.

7. Ik Kil ( [9-5 daily] [80MXN]
Really picturesque with all the hanging vines and an extremely deep cenote (can't see bottom). There's a little manmade cliff jump ledge there too. Other than that extremely crowded and more of a resort cenote.
