Hey everyone!

With all my friend gatherings and Vegas planning, I barely had time to think about what I wanted to do on my actual birthday. Thank goodness my bfff Dee and I decided to have a relaxing spa day at the Fairmont hotel and then an amazing Thai dinner in Maenam, Kitsilano.

We tried the hydrotherapy bath which felt like I was sitting in the middle of a rapid, muddy stream in the wilderness, but it also left me feeling like I was a newborn baby. For more information on what services Absolute Spa has (they have a couple of locations), you can visit their website:

At Maenam I had one of the best Thai dinners I've had in a long time, and I highly recommend their Chef's Menu if you're feeling particularly adventurous. For a list of their food options here is their site:

The beautiful Saint Regis hotel is located in downtown Vancouver on Dunsmuir Street. The location has a boutique style of feel to it, but also has quite a few amenities as well. The Saint Regis does not have a swimming pool. which is a common question people ask about a hotel when looking for a place to stay. However, the hotel does have a spa and massage center that more than makes up for the lack of a pool.
When you are looking at the Saint Regis, you will notice it is within a quick walking distance to a lot of the attractions in Vancouver. Some of those attractions the Saint Regis is within walking distance of includes the Vancouver Art Gallery. Queen Elizabeth Theater, and also the waterfront. Not to mention if you want to venture and see a birds eye view of Vancouver, the Vancouver Lookout is very close by as well.
When it comes to the rooms, the Saint Regis offers sixty-five rooms total. All of the rooms inside of the Saint Regis are non-smoking rooms, which makes it nice for travelers to avoid the second-hand smoke or having clothing smell like smoke. The selection of rooms will vary from a queen suite room, to a double room. Either way, if you are traveling to Vancouver this selection makes it easier for you to find a great room to stay in.
Depending on what your dinner plans are at night, you will find the Saint Regis does have a nice on-site restaurant. The restaurant that is located on-site does have a variety of menu options. If you want to start your day off right, you will enjoy the fact the Saint Regis offers a full breakfast.
Overall, the Saint Regis is a great downtown hotel in Vancouver. It has a small boutique feel to it, but this just helps the staff be some of the friendliest you can imagine while you are staying in a hotel.
