Australia - Tasmania - Hobart, Mount Wellington & Boat Trip
In the second video instalment from Tasmania we head up to the top of Mount Wellington, the views of Hobart and the surrounding area were absolutely breathtaking... as was the icy cold wind. After a visit to the Shot Tower at Taroona we headed back to have a walk around the port in Hobart. The following day we visited a replica of Douglas Mawson's Hut which houses a fascinating museum about the his Antarctic expedition, after that we headed out on a great boat trip with Finn from Pennicott Wilderness Journeys.

most popular waterfalls of Hobart, Tasmania
A day tour to Mount Field NP, Tasmania. One of the popular waterfall in Tasmania is probably the Russell falls and Horseshoe falls. The very dense forest is also another attraction of this national park. 20 minutes further drive from national park visitor centre will lead you towards lake Dobson which looks spectacular in winter with both lake and the surroundings full of ice and snow. The kids and some adults were enjoying the snow with sliding and even with a ski board on summit of the national park. Definitely a must visit place in Tasmania.

Tasmania - Day Three (Hobart)
On day three I took it as a bit of a rest day. Mostly to recover from my hangover. So I took the GSX for a spin around Hobart to find a car wash to remove some unsightly dirt which turns out to be much harder to find than I thought.

Exploring Mona - Museum of Old & New Art in Tasmania Australia
Join us adults guide to exploring Mona - Museum of Old and New Art In Hobart, especially if you want to enjoy the day Posh Pit style...
MONA has definitely changed the perceptions of what Art galleries could and should be. Make no mistake, this is not your average museum as the art installations confront, challenge and sometime appal its visitors.
To get there, you will be required to catch a ferry from the Hobart waterfront, and as you will see in the video we definitely recommend that you upgrade your ticket for a VIP experience seat in the ‘Posh Pit’ for champagne and canapés en-route.

2423KM Roadtrip around Tasmania, Australia | Hidden Gem
2423Km roadtrip journey around Australia's island state of Tasmania that covers many of the outstanding scenic, wildlife and spectacular rugged alpine regions of this hidden gem located 240 km off the south-east corner of mainland Australia.
During this 10 day journey, we covered 2423km by car, focusing mostly on the natural part of Tasmania. In fact, we only visited 1 major city (Hobart) and 2 of those 10 days were spent camping for the Falls Festival over New Year's eve (2015 - 2016). Tasmania a land of dramatic coastlines, rugged mountains, tall forests and sparkling highland lakes. Over a third of the state is reserved in a network of National Parks and the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area

Tasmania is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited, with stunning landscapes, untouched rainforests, spectatularly rugged alpine regions. serene nature and vast wildlife.
Let me tell you something about the iconic, stunning wingelass bay; the next thing south from here is Antarctica so the beaches in tassie are always cold, REALLY COLD, especially for us Europeans.
Anyway, hiking about an hour to reach Wineglass bay, I spent at least 15 minutes to convince my friends to go swimming. I had to come up with speeches about how this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, we're only here once and if we we don't do it we'll regret it for the rest of our life!
Finally my friends gave in and we went swimming in the freezing cold water but it was totally worth it (and they thanked me afterwards). Wave after wave, we could never get enough of this bay. I even tried to body surf for the very first time, which didn't end well. Despite this, tassie is a place i will never forget.

TRAVEL VLOG: ROAD TRIPPIN' IN TASMANIA
Tas-it was definitely a-mania!
So crazy stuff happened before and during, and possibly after the trip. But it was still off the chain.
Finally crossed Tasmania off my bucket list, after living in Australia for 3 years! We managed to spend 6 days in Tasmania driving from Hobart up to Cradle mountain and traveling down the Eastern coast, looping back to Hobart as our final destination. We got to see Cradle Mountain, Bridestowe Lavender Estate, Bay of Fire, Bruny Island, Mount Wellington, Tasman National Park and some other places. It was a shame that we had to give the Wineglass Bay a miss.
It was my first time on a full on road trip with just my friends. Driving hours at a time singing to old school tunes, movie nights, photo sessions. I enjoyed every second of it, despite the hiccups and minor fender benders here and there. It was quite an experience and this trip definitely makes the list. Thanks to my friends @ellyskies & @alegnaneelej for coming on the trip and making it an absolute blast.

Jess needed to head back to Australia to have her 12 week Ultrasound so as we awaited the results we had a bit of time to spare so we decided to finally head out to Tasmania, the little island off the coast of Australia.
First up we flew into Launceston to pick up our car rental and hit the road as we made our way towards Cradle Mountain National Park.
There we checked into Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge:
Our time in Cradle Mountain included heading into the national park, having warm fires and hot chocolates as well as heading into the Tasmanian Devil reserve.

3 Days in Hobart, TAS
Decided to go an a really quick trip to Hobart, TASMANIA, to do some reconnaissance for further adventures! Also to celebrate our son's birthday and Cedric's birthday and our wedding anniversary, and Father's day too! Yes, September is a very busy month for us.
We stayed at the Bay View Villas
a nice, well serviced and optioned apartment. Over looking the CBD of Hobart.
A few highlights of the trip definitely was our food trips to the drunken admiral where we had a heap load of sea food and the restaurant itself was quite unique. A definite must if going to Hobart!
The Museum of Old and New Art (MONA)
which featured a number of interesting exhibits and some insightful pieces as well.
Learned a bit about Australian history at Port Arthur
Mount Wellington and other places around the CBD.
Shout out to The GelvyTV for this quick collaboration. Looking forward to more adventures with this family.

Tasmania 12 Days Family Itinerary Trip
A 12 day itinerary for a trip around Tasmania. It can be done, here's what we got up to by cabin and car. We visited Hobart, Launceston, Port Arthur, the West Coast and more.
Full post on our blog:
We’re going to open this one with this point: Tasmania is an amazing, beautiful and fun place that is absolutely bursting with animals, adventure & activities for the whole family. You could easily spend a lot of time here to get the most out of it, and depending on your own preference on pace, anything from 4 to 8 weeks would get the job done well. That’s great if you are in a caravan, perhaps doing a lap of Australia, but for us we wanted something fun to do with our family over the school holidays. We did Tasmania in 12 days, by Cabin & Car.
Mainland Tasmania is broken up into 5 regions – the North West, West Coast, Hobart & the South, the East Coast and Launceston & the North. For our trip we arrived in Devonport just to the North West, and proceeded to head around Tasmania anti-clockwise. This allowed us to visit the West Coast and the wilderness surrounding it, Hobart, Port Arthur and the South finishing in Launceston and the North. We had 12 days so allowed one or two day stops in each location. This is our itinerary, what we loved and what we missed due to the fact that we’re human and just couldn’t fit it all in!
For accommodation we went by Cabin throughout Tasmania. We stayed at holiday parks and resorts which worked really well for us as a family on holiday. Here’s what we got up to on our family trip to Tasmania by cabin & car.
Day 1 – Departing Melbourne for Devonport
Day 2 – Devonport to Lemonthyme Wildernes Retreat
Day 3 – Cradle Mountain
Day 4 – Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat to Strahan
Day 5 – Strahan to Tarraleah via Queenstown and Lake St Clair
Day 6 – Tarraleah to Hobart via Russell Falls
Day 7 – Hobart CBD
Day 8 – Hobart to Port Arthur via Eaglehawk Neck
Day 9 – Port Arthur to Launceston via Richmond
Day 10 – Launceston
Day 11 – Launceston to Devonport via Beauty Point
Day 12 – Devonport to Melbourne
