STORYLINE:
Thousands of Muslim Faithful gathered at Baghdad's central Abu Hanifa mosque for Friday Prayers.
Anti-US feeling is growing in some parts of Iraq and this sentiment was echoed by chanting after the sermon.
Meanwhile in Fallujah the local Imam warned America that the Iraqi people would not suffer their presence in the country.
Iraqis in the Fallujah area are becoming increasingly angered by the presence of U-S troops there; a situation not helped by two deadly shootings by US troops in recent weeks which left a number of civilians dead.
Local sentiments are such that the residents of Fallujah are accusing the Americans of spying on women with their binoculars and helicopter patrols and also of harassing Iraqi women passing through checkpoints.

ABU HANIFA, IMAM-E-AZAM
Born: September 5, 699 AD, Kufa, Iraq
Died: June 14, 767 AD, Baghdad, Iraq
Full name: Nuʿmān ibn Thābit ibn Zūṭā ibn Marzubān
Title: The Great Imam
Buried: Abu Hanifa Mosque, Baghdad, Iraq
Abū Ḥanīfa al-Nuʿmān b. Thābit b. Zūṭā b. Marzubān, known as Abū Ḥanīfa for short, or reverently as Imam Abū Ḥanīfa by Sunni Muslims, was an 8th-century Sunni Muslim theologian and jurist of Persian origin, who became the eponymous founder of the Hanafi school of Sunni jurisprudence, which has remained the most widely practiced law school in the Sunni tradition. He is often alluded to by the reverential epithets al-Imām al-aʿẓam (The Great Imam) and Sirāj al-aʾimma (The Lamp of the Imams) in Sunni Islam.
Born to a Muslim family in Kufa, Abu Hanifa is known to have travelled to the Hejaz region of Arabia in his youth, where he studied under the most renowned teachers in Mecca and Medina at the time. As his career as a theologian and jurist progressed, Abu Hanifa became known for favoring the use of reason in his legal rulings (faqīh dhū raʾy) and even in his theology. Abu Hanifa's theological school is what would later develop into the Maturidi school of Sunni theology. He is also considered a renowned Islamic scholar and personality by Sunni Muslims.

STORYLINE:
Iraqi Sunni Muslims in Baghdad flocked early on Tuesday to mosques to perform prayers for Eid al-Adha or the Feast of the Sacrifice, as part of the the festival in which Muslim pilgrims perform Hajj or pilgrimage to Holy Mecca.
In Baghdad, residents were celebrating Eid on Tuesday, the first day of a three-day holiday for Sunnis.
The festival comes amid tough security measures and increased checkpoints in the capital.
Afterwards, many residents headed to Martyrs Cemetery to visit the graves of their loved ones.
The Eid festival, which is regarded as the most important feast in the Islamic calendar, commemorates God's gift of a ram to Abraham as a substitute sacrifice for his son - a central story in Islam, Judaism and Christianity
The Eid holiday begins on the tenth day of the 12th month of the lunar Islamic calendar.
The holiday of Eid al-Adha, begins on Wednesday for Iraq's Shiites.
Traditionally, Muslim families slaughter a goat or sheep, and invite friends and relatives to their houses to celebrate the three-day feast.
The Hajj, packed with symbolism and ritual, is one of the five pillars of Islam and draws millions of worshippers each year to Saudi Arabia.
Every able-bodied Muslim, who can afford to, must perform it at least once in his or her lifetime.

Iraqi Sunni religious leaders to close mosques in Baghdad to protest attacks
Sunni religious leaders in Iraq announced on Saturday that they were closing down the sect's mosques across Baghdad to protest against a series of attacks targeting Sunni clerics and worshippers.
On Friday, bomb attacks at two Sunni mosques in Baghdad killed four people. And last week, gunmen killed a cleric as he was leaving a mosque in western Baghdad, police said.
The decision was made by all Sunni scholars to close the mosques daily, except for Friday prayers, so that we can take our message to the government and make this closure legitimate, said Mohammed al Hamadani, a Sunni cleric at the Abu Hanifa Mosque in the district of Azamiya in northern Baghdad, a mainly Sunni neighbourhood.
A sign was erected outside the mosque to tell worshippers it was closed until further notice. Other Sunni mosques across the capital have followed orders and will only open on Fridays.
Sunnis, who dominated the government of Iraq for most of its modern history, believe that the majority-Shiite leaders, who came to power after the 2003 US-led invasion, have treated them like second-class citizens.
Sunni discontent in Iraq mounted after a bloody April raid by security forces on a protest camp in the country's north.
Political violence has since spiked, claiming at least 5,500 lives according to the United Nations figures.
The bloodiest attacks, which have been claimed by al-Qaida's local branch, have targeted mainly Shiites. But Sunnis have also been killed in apparent reprisals.
