Mortuary Temple of king Seti I in Abydos, Sohag
The temple of Seti I was built on entirely new ground half a mile to the south of the long series of temples just described. This surviving building is best known as the Great Temple of Abydos, being nearly complete and an impressive sight. A principal purpose of the temple was that of a memorial temple to the king Seti I, as well as reverence of the early kings, which is incorporated within as part of the Rite of the Ancestors.
The Abydos King List, also known as the Abydos Table, is a list of the names of seventy-six kings of Ancient Egypt, found on a wall of the Temple of Seti I at Abydos, Egypt. It consists of three rows of thirty-eight cartouches (borders enclosing the name of a king) in each row. The upper two rows contain names of the kings, while the third row merely repeats Seti I's throne name and praenomen.

Abydos, Egypt
Abydos (; Sahidic ') is one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt, and also of the eighth nome in Upper Egypt, of which it was the capital city. It is located about west of the Nile at latitude 26° 10' N, near the modern Egyptian towns of el-'Araba el Madfuna and al-Balyana. In the ancient Egyptian language, the city was called Abdju' (ꜣbḏw or AbDw). The English name Abydos comes from the Greek , a name borrowed by Greek geographers from the unrelated city of Abydos on the Hellespont.
Considered one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt, the sacred city of Abydos was the site of many ancient temples, including Umm el-Qa'ab, a royal necropolis where early pharaohs were entombed. These tombs began to be seen as extremely significant burials and in later times it became desirable to be buried in the area, leading to the growth of the town's importance as a cult site.
Today, Abydos is notable for the memorial temple of Seti I, which contains an inscription from the nineteenth dynasty known to the modern world as the Abydos King List. It is a chronological list showing cartouches of most dynastic pharaohs of Egypt from Menes until Seti I's father, Ramesses I.
The Great Temple and most of the ancient town are buried under the modern buildings to the north of the Seti temple. Many of the original structures and the artifacts within them are considered irretrievable and lost; many may have been destroyed by the new construction.
Abydos was occupied by the rulers of the Predynastic period, whose town, temple and tombs have been found there. The temple and town continued to be rebuilt at intervals down to the times of the thirtieth dynasty, and the cemetery was used continuously.
The pharaohs of the first dynasty were buried in Abydos, including Narmer, who is regarded as founder of the first dynasty, and his successor, Aha. It was in this time period...

In Egyptian mythology, this city is also the burial place of Osiris, the Egyptian god.
The holy city of Abydos is considered to be one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt. It includes many remains of ancient temples, such as Umm Kabo, the royal cemetery of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs. [1] These places are regarded as extremely important cemeteries. People want to be buried in this place after death, and finally make this small city a center of worship.
Today, the most famous in Abydos is the Temple of Seti I, including the inscription of the 19th Dynasty, now known as the King of Abydos. This list of Egyptian pharaohs chronologically ranks the names of the pharaohs from the majority of the dynasties between Meinness and Ramses I, where Ramses I was the father of Sethi I. [2] The Great Temple and most ancient cities were buried under modern architecture north of the Temple of Seti. Many of the original ancient ruins are considered to be irreparable or lost, and many have been destroyed by modern architecture. Wikipedia

Link to Lower Egypt, the North on my channel;
Upper Egypt is the strip of land, on both sides of the Nile valley, that extends between Nubia, and downriver (northwards) to Lower Egypt. Upper Egypt is between the Cataracts of the Nile above modern-day Aswan, downriver (northwards) to the area between Zawyet Dahshur and El-Ayait, which is south of modern-day Cairo. The northern (downriver) part of Upper Egypt, between Sohag and El-Ayait, is also known as Middle Egypt. In Arabic, inhabitants of Upper Egypt are known as Sa'idis; they generally speak Sa'idi Arabic.
In Pharaonic times Upper Egypt was known as Ta Shemau[1] which means the land of reeds. It was divided into twenty-two districts called nomes. The first nome was roughly where modern Aswan is and the twenty-second was at modern Atfih (Aphroditopolis), just to the south of Cairo.
