Usually a safari tour starts early in the morning. Because in the afternoon the day is hot and some predators are not moving. The first place I visited was a kind of waiting room where the male coves wait to mate with the female. So it seems that the early stranger does not welcome the visit of the stranger. Mature herbivores appeared and disappeared. The world without predators was peaceful. I could not see the top predators, but I also had the fortune of meeting a family elephant crowd led by mature females. An elephant has a good memory and is said to remember a person or animal that afflicted him for a lifetime. Males are mostly living alone, and they are very intense and should not be approached in a hurry. Kajinga channel where you can see various animals. It is a paradise for birds, a place where many ornithologists and bird lovers are looking for. This boat travels only on the Kajinga channel and I am Patra. Boat tours, which run twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon, say that the number of passengers in the rainy season is somewhat low, but that they must be booked at the dry season. There are also hippopotons by a group of African buffalo. Among the largest animals, hippopotamus is the most abundant, with about 2,000 inhabited. The Kajinga channel is known as a bird's paradise. The Kajinga Channel, where peaceful coexistence of various wildlife can be seen, is said to have attracted many algae scholars and birds-loving tourists. Especially here, you can get close to birds that have nests or habitats on nearby coasts by boat. This is the waterway connecting Lake George and Edward. Many hippopotamus, such as hippopotamus, cool down and breed in fresh water, and many birds are important places to feed and live.

Uganda: Lion population halved due to habitat loss
Conservationists in Uganda are concerned about the decline in the lion population. The country's wildlife authority says numbers have dropped from more than a-thousand in the early 1990s to just over 4-hundred today. Conservationists believe habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict are the biggest causes for the decline. CGTN's Hillary Ayesiga reports.

Uganda’s New Forests
Introducing our mini-documentary: Uganda’s New Forests.
Climate change is not just an environmental issue. It’s also a matter of justice: those least responsible for climate change often suffer its worst consequences.
In Uganda, we met some of these people. Climate justice isn’t just about helping them adapt to a changing climate – through local tree-planting projects, for instance. It also requires us to listen to their stories, and to spread their message. That is what our mini-documentary aims to do.
When we decided to visit our reforestation project in Uganda, we did not expect these stories to be what they turned out to be: stories of resilience, innovation, and solidarity.

Uganda battles to stem wildlife trafficking
Subscribe to our channel
Exotic animal exports from Uganda are a lucrative business, but conservationists have managed to outlaw the private trade. Hunters must now work for licensed zoos only, although illegal wildlife trafficking continues. Inside the Murchison Falls National Park, the wildlife authority is able to provide some protection by searching for traps and snares set by poachers. But as long as there is a demand for wildlife and its products in richer countries, it is hard to see how the supply from poorer ones can be stopped. Al Jazeera's Malcolm Webb reports from Murchison Falls.
At Al Jazeera English, we focus on people and events that affect people's lives. We bring topics to light that often go under-reported, listening to all sides of the story and giving a 'voice to the voiceless.'
