Okura Act City Hamamatsu (浜松市), Japan
Act City is a symbol of the city (Hamamatsu's only skyscraper). It was designed to resemble a harmonica, a reminder that Hamamatsu is sometimes known as the City of Music. The building houses shopping and a food court, the Okura Hotel, and an observatory on the 45th floor overlooking all of central Hamamatsu, even down to the sand dunes at the shore.

Near the Act Tower skyscraper, designed to resemble a harmonica, are the global exhibits of the Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments. The reconstructed 16th-century Hamamatsu Castle has more than 400 cherry trees and an observatory with Pacific Ocean views.

Act tower is located next to Hamamatsu Station and is the landmark of Hamamatsu. The tower was designed to resemble a 45 story harmonica highlighting the relationship with music and musical instruments. The tower's observatory is 145 meters above the ground where you can see a magnificent panorama. Mount Fuji, lakes, rivers, districts, wards and people spread before and below you while the Japanese Alps and endless Pacific rim the horizon. The shinkansen winds it's way in to the station at your feet and appears as a miniature toy train. Autumn and winter provide brief romantic night viewing of the city lights after sunset. Chairs are supplied for you to enjoy the scenery to your heart's content.
