We Live on a Houseboat in the Canals of Amsterdam!! /// WEEK 77 : Netherlands
Hello from the Netherlands! We were so excited to visit Amsterdam and it didn't disappoint. We stayed at a charming Airbnb that was a houseboat in the canals!
We loved cruising around Amsterdam and other nearby towns like Delft, Haarlem and Leiden on bikes. The kids ate their weight in stroopwafels and we're outfitted by the adorable kids brand, Gray Label. Garrett took Dorothy on a Daddy-Dottie date to the Netherlands vs Denmark women's soccer game.
The biggest highlight was our meet-up hosted at A'DAM tower. We are so grateful for everyone who came and showed their support. We are humbled by the kindness and love that everyone showed our family.
Happy Travels,
The Bucket List Family

Back just in time for summer 2019! I have returned to Amsterdam for the latest instalment in my quest to find all the best Coffeeshops.
If you’re heading over to Amsterdam soon, don’t waste any time! After dozens of trips (literally) I bring you a brand new video for 2019 featuring ten more Coffeeshops recommended by you guys with the best weed strains in the city!
Don’t get sucked in by the Bulldogs, and other low end Coffeeshops offering expensive inferior quality product.
Finally as I stated last time, learn to roll before you roll out! You can’t experience all the flavours if you can’t roll a decent joint!
*There are no weed lollipops or major gimmicks featured as dozens of YouTube videos have you covered! This is a connoisseur’s video.
Please if you enjoy this, like and subscribe! This video took a ton of effort to make but I do love to do them for you! Suggestions for future content is really welcome!
Much love - Jimmy Nevski

2018 Amsterdam canal tour
3 best boat tours to take in Amsterdam
-----------------------------------------------------------
Amsterdam’s 165 canals were created in the 17th century to improve the city’s transportation system and to stimulate trade relations. Today, this UNESCO World Heritage Site defines Amsterdam’s landscape. Taking a boat ride is one of the best ways to appreciate this urban canal ring and the city’s other waterways.
1 - Amsterdam Canal Bus: Hop On and Off as You Explore Amsterdam
The Amsterdam Canal Bus is an ideal way for visitors to discover Amsterdam. The bus travels through Amsterdam’s canals, stopping at key attractions, such as Rembrandt Square and Albert Cuyp. The central audio guide system provides commentary so you can better appreciate your surroundings.
If you prefer, download the app for audio commentary in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. When something piques your interests, simply step off and investigate. When you’re done, board the bus and continue your journey. The Amsterdam Canal Bus has three lines and 16 stops, so it’s a great way to see a great deal of the city.
It’s €23 for a day ticket, €25 for a 24-hour ticket, and €35 for a 48-hour ticket. Children ages 4 to 12 pay half this price, and children younger than 4 are free. Discounted tickets are also available when you buy them online.
2- Day Canal Cruise: The Lovers Canal Cruises Amsterdam Tour
Lovers Canal Cruises takes visitors by some of Amsterdam’s key sites on its Day Canal Cruise. Despite its name, the cruise lasts for one hour and not a whole day. Despite its relatively short duration, you’ll see plenty, including the Skinny Bridge, the VOC ship, the Zevenbogenbruggengracht, and the docks. The Lovers Canal Cruises special audio system transmits commentary in 16 languages, so passengers of all nationalities can learn more about the Amsterdam attractions as the sights pass by.
The Lovers Canal Cruises Day Canal Cruise departs every 20 to 30 minutes between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. Its boats leave from three locations: the jetty on the west side of the Central Station, Leidseplein, and the Prins Hendrikkade. Tickets cost €16 for adults and €8 for children ages 4 to 12.
3- Rijksmuseum Canal Cruise: Blue Boat Company’s Historic Tour
Blue Boat Company’s Rijksmuseum Canal Cruise is the ideal boat tour for history and art lovers. The tour operator has teamed up with the Rijksmuseum to create this distinct cruise that takes in locations that inspired the museum’s art collection. You’ll see Rembrandt’s home, the place he painted “The Nightwatch” and much more.
The 75-minute tour costs €33.50 for adults and €8.50 for children between ages 4 and 18. This price includes the boat tour and entrance to the Rijksmuseum.

Amsterdam, Grachten Tour - Netherlands HD Travel Channel
The Grachten, as the canals are called in Amsterdam, have a total length of approx.80 km and are more than twice as long as the canals of Venice, with a length of approx. 34 km. Approx. 1500 bridges span the canals of Amsterdam.
The smaller boats allow to sail through the narrower canals and open up completely new perspectives on the city. The Grachten-Tour (canal-tour) leads from the Damrak to the center and continue south to the Prinsengracht.
Besides the Chinatown, the only one in a major European city in which the street names are additionally labeled in Chinese, we sail along the medieval looking Red Light District. The water surface in Amsterdam is 40 cm below sea level.
Another peculiarity in Amsterdam is the type of renovation of old houses. Almost all the houses in Amsterdam are built on stilts. If one side sinks in sandy underground, then the house will be stabilized but the redevelopment of the house is carried out based on the status quo. Sloping windows remain at an angle and windows get horizontal window crosses.
In some streets, a house inclines to the right, the next to the left. These houses are called the dancing houses. Some façades are built consciously at an angle forwards in order to appear larger when someone looks upwards.
In addition to many well-preserved house boats you can see some almost dilapidated boats. This is due to the fact, that one loses the berth if no boat is moored. Nowadays, a berth is partly worth more than the boat.
.......
please read more:

AMSTERDAM VLOG: CANAL CRUISE (Sir Adam Lookout, Anne Frank House, etc.) / joni moll vlogs
AMSTERDAM VLOG: SIR ADAM LOOKOUT, RIJKS MUSEUM, ANNE FRANK'S HOUSE (last day of fun!) / joni moll vlogs
This is our last day in Amsterdam. First off we went to the Rijks area (van gogh and other museum are sitting beside each other so there's plenty to see i you're into it). From there, we took the hop on hop off boat canal cruise for €22.50 for the entire day. We had to go to the Sir Adam Tower Lookout to see the city of Amsterdam from a bird's eye! We paid €13.50 just to go to the tower! There is a restaurant up there but we didn't bother eating there as there is so much to explore and time is ticking ;) We went on to out next stop which is the Anne Frank's House. Please goggle her if you don't know her ;) basically this is the place where she and her family hid from the German soldiers during the war. We had a great time all in all. Definitely a place to remember :)
