Ireland - Most Beautiful Village - Adare
Adare - Ireland . April 2016 . Music: Kevin MacLeod
Adare - considered the most beautiful village in all Ireland. Its lies on the banks of the River Maigue set in the surrounding forests. The village was built in the 20 years of the 19th century, the Third Earl of Dunraven (1812 - 1871), owner of the estate Adare Manor. The main street lined with neat stone building with thatched roofs and still preserved remains of some religious buildings - e.g. The Church of the Holy Trinity, Franciscan abbey or Augustines. Above the bridge over the river stands the castle from the 13th century Desmond Castle.

Adare (/æˈdeɪr/; Irish: Áth Dara, meaning ford of [the] oak) (Population 2,454 (CSO, 2006) is a village in County Limerick, Ireland. Adare is designated as a Heritage Town by the Irish government. Due to its origin as village of the Dunraven estate (see also Thady Wyndham-Quin, 7th Earl of Dunraven and Mount-Earl), Adare has a more planned appearance than many Irish villages and towns.

Walking Through: Adare Village, Ireland Ireland's prettiest village
Walking through Ireland's prettiest village Adare Village, Ireland. Sunday, May 24, 2009.
A walk in Adare Village Park
In the heart of the village is a pretty oasis and gathering place in the shape of a public park. The land for this beautiful park, like most of the village, was once part of the massive Dunraven estate.
One feature of the park is the lovely thatched gazebo, which plays a part in village events and is a popular photographic background for the many weddings that take place in Adare all year round.
Adare is a village in County Limerick, Ireland, located south-west of the city of Limerick. Renowned as one of Ireland's prettiest towns, Adare is designated as a heritage town by the Irish government.
The River Maigue is tidal as far as Adare, with the settlement forming around the eastern bank of the Maigue overlooking the fording point from which the village gets its name. An annalistic reference is made in the medieval Annals of Inisfallen at AI982.4 The Tree of Mag Adar was broken by Leth Cuinn. Owing to the strategic importance of the river crossing the Desmond castle was built overlooking the site near Ardshanbally (derived from Ard an tSeanbhaile - 'high ground of the old town'), and was first mentioned in 1226. Historically a market town, in the Middle Ages, Adare boasted three monasteries. Owing to the influence of the Earls of Dunraven, who built the Adare Manor (now a luxury resort hotel) a strict plan was laid out for the town.

Adare Castle in Adare, Ireland
This short video is of a castle on the Adare Manor property not easily accessed unless golfing. Tim and I scaled a big iron gate to gain access to castle. For the background music I used a song from Tina Mulrooney whom I met when visiting The Cliffs of Moher. She thought it would be nice to play her music on my vacation video. You can find her music on amazon.com
I used an OFM 650 v4 quadcopter with a GoPro Hero2 mounted on the vibration free gimble. It was about 6:30 A.M.
Adare Heritage Centre in Ireland's Prettiest Village (Limerick)
Snuggled in a wooded setting among the rich farmlands of the Golden Vale by the River Maigue, Adare is a model village dating from the time of the Norman conquest.
It has been home to the Earls of Dunraven (Quin family) for over three centuries. Thatched cottages line its broad streets, punctuated with beautiful stone buildings and picturesque ruins.
Adare Heritage Centre houses the Adare Historical Exhibition, Dovecote Restaurant, shopping facilities, tourist information and also organise Desmond Castle Tours.

Day Trips to Killarney and Adare Ireland !
February 16 & February 23, 2019
In this video I first took a bus to Killarney city centre and Killarney National Park! At the park you can view some of the mountain peaks and see Ross Castle. In the city I suggest seeing St. Mary's and wandering through the many bright colored shops on their main road. You can even sight see on a horse!
In Adare you can visit their pubs, small boutiques and shops. Adare is home of three Abbeys and a beautiful Manor (that we didn't get to see but google said it looked cool). The town is quite fancy for those who prefer the boujiii lifestyle then you'll definitely fit in. I am not one of those which is why I loved Killarney much more than Adare!!
Overall weekend trips around the smaller places in Ireland is definitely worth seeing!
Thanks for watching!
