Ireland 2010: Adare, Co. Limerick
We spent one night in the village of Adare in County Limerick, where we were basically just passing through, but wanted to get a little time since my friend that I was visiting hadn't really been there, just passed through several times, and wanted to get the chance to really see it. The village is very well preserved, and this is what it's known for - that the main street is kept so well from olden times :-) with traditional thatched cottages. There are also several old stone buildings worth seeing, we visited one of these, Desmond Castle. There's also a scenic walk along the river. All in all well worth a visit; quite a charming place. :-)

Adare, Co. Limerick - Paddys Day 2011
ILoveLimerick had the pleasure of filming the first Paddys Day Procession in the beautiful town of Adare in over a decade. We were invited out by local lady and organiser Marie Hoare. It was an incredible day of music and zany merriment as the people fo Adare and the surrounding regions came out in droves to join the fun. A twenty foot long snake was marched through the streets to the town hall, to mark the landmark of the hall turing 100 years old.
