Adelaide Festival Theatre turns 40!
The Adelaide Festival Theatre is 40 years old this year! And to celebrate the centre will be offering a free illumination spectacle called House Lights every night during June.
It starts at 6pm every night until June 30th 2013

People of Adelaide loved taking a peek behind the curtain seeing what’s backstage at Australia’s first capital city arts centre, Adelaide Festival Centre. There was loads of pop-up performances, activities and meet and greet opportunities.
Adelaide Festival Centre | Case Study
As part of its $90 million five-year redevelopment program to liven up the Adelaide Festival Centre, there was an opportunity to conduct a major redevelopment of the IT infrastructure to expand the venue’s online and onsite capabilities. This IT refresh involved the demolition of the centre’s data centre environment, making Adelaide Festival Centre one of the first state government agencies in Australia to move 100 per cent of its servers to the cloud.

Walk of Fame
South Australia will have its very own Walk of Fame, as part of Adelaide Festival Centre's redevelopment project.
The star-studded walkway will initially include more than 130 names of some of the great artists that have graced the stages of Adelaide Festival Centre.
A selection of the brightest stars from Adelaide Festival Centre’s 40-year history (1973–onwards) has been chosen.
