We are thrilled to publicly declare our solid belief in Australian musical talent: Nicholas Carter’s ability, musical personality and maturity belie his age. That he can be joined by two musical luminaries in Jeffrey Tate and Pinchas Zukerman is an extraordinary opportunity for the ASO and for music in Australia.

Australian Christmas Carols - The Adelaide Singers & The South Australian Symphony Orchestra
Australian Christmas Carols written by John Wheeler & W.G. James in 1914. This album is performed by the Adelaide Singers and The South Australian Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Patrick Thomas, published 1969. This album is the best version of these songs I have heard still to this day.
This album is in the National Archives of Australia but it's no good there where no one can hear it. Please play them to your children at Christmas time and they will grow up enjoying them too just as my parents did for me.
The north wind is tossing the leaves, the red dust is over the town, the sparrows are under the eaves and the grass in the paddock is brown. As we lift up our voices and sing to the Christ child our heavenly King. The Carol of the Birds.
Some of the songs have great lyrics.
1. The Three Drovers
2. The Silver Stars are in the Sky 1:57
3. Christmas Day 4:11
4. Carol of the Birds 5:54
5. Christmas Bush for His Adorning 7:14
6. The Day that Christ was Born On 9:11
7. Christmas Night 11:25
8. The Little Town where Christ was Born 14:26
9. Sing Gloria 16:46
10. Noel Time 18:43
11. The Christmas Tree 20:47
13. Golden Day 25:56
14 Country Carol 28:12
15. Merry Christmas 30:45

I am delighted to be singing with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra once again -- and what better way is there to sing luscious Puccini arias and Broadway hits, than under the glorious stars on a beautiful outdoor stage. As a performer, these are the moments that I treasure. It is thrilling for me to sing such divine melodies with a world class orchestra and most importantly, with an open invitation for everyone to attend! said Halloran.
Pack a picnic and BYO for an unforgettable night of popular classics and family entertainment. The Adelaide Youth Orchestra will perform prior to the concert at 6pm.
