Old Photographs Of Dunfermline Scotland
Tour Scotland video of old photographs of Dunfermline in Fife. The town was first recorded in the 11th century, with the marriage of Malcolm III, King of Scotland, and Saint Margaret at the church in Dunfermline. As his Queen consort, Margaret established a new church dedicated to the Holy Trinity, which evolved into an Abbey under their son, David I in 1128.
Thank You Dunfermline
Thank You, Dunfermline, Scotland is an eight-minute video created in 2014 by PHLF and students from Pittsburgh Allderdice, Phillips, and West Liberty featuring places in Pittsburgh associated with General John Forbes (c. 1709-1759) and Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919), both natives of Dunfermline, Scotland. Forbes founded and named Pittsburgh in 1758 and Carnegie helped make Pittsburgh the Workshop of the World and a center of philanthropy. These two people, from the same town in Scotland, had a huge impact on Pittsburgh.

Meet the daredevil who has completed his biggest jump ever
Meet the daredevil who has been doing backflips off huge British cliffs since he was a teen - and has just completed his biggest jump ever. Breathtaking video footage captures his latest leap of faith which was his highest yet - a massive 51ft backflip off Arbroath's sandstone cliffs.
Burntisland Golf House Club - The Most Beautiful Course in Fife
The Kingdom of Fife is where golf began and where it still thrives today. Looking out over its southern shore is Burntisland Golf House Club, home of the 10th oldest golf club in the world.
And clearly one of the most scenic.
The views commence from the 1st looking back towards the clubhouse with the Forth Bridges visible in the distance. From the tee, the 4th takes its line off of Edinburgh Castle across the water.
There are few courses in Scotland that enjoy such exhilarating panoramas. From its commanding heights you enjoy views up and down the magnificent Forth Valley to the capital city of Edinburgh, the Forth Bridges and - to the east - East Lothian.
But it's not just the views that are exciting...this is a quality course from start to finish. Here's Fraser Hutchison, the club's current club champion to tell us some more...
Fraser's Speil....
It would take some doing to get used to views like these but Fraser's clearly a very focused golfer.
Fantastic outlooks are one thing but Burntisland has a history to match...
Dave's Clip on history...
Old Tom Morris first surveyed the site but it was Open Champion Willie Park Jr that actually laid the course out in 1896. Then in 1922 James Braid came along and applied his vast experience as a golf course architect. And that is pretty much the course we see today.
Let's hear from some of Burntisland's many visitors to see what they think of the course...
The clubhouse is equally gratifying - good food, great staff and a very warm welcome.
As the epicenter of the game, the Kingdom of Fife has so much golf on offer. But there are few courses - even here in the Kingdom - that can rival Burntisland's scenic quality and warm welcome.
Places to see in ( North Berwick - UK )
Places to see in ( North Berwick - UK )
North Berwick is a seaside town and former royal burgh in East Lothian, Scotland. North Berwick is situated on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, approximately 25 miles north-east of Edinburgh.
North Berwick became a fashionable holiday resort in the nineteenth century because of its two sandy bays, the East (or Milsey) Bay and the West Bay, and continues to attract holidaymakers to this day. Golf courses at the ends of each bay are open to visitors.
Several of the Islands of the Forth are near the town of North Berwick and visible from it: e.g. Fidra, The Lamb, Craigleith, and Bass Rock; the latter hosts a thriving colony of birds, including puffins, gannets, and other seabirds. The Bass Rock appears white, but this is due largely to the gannets and their guano that cover much of its surface. The seabirds themselves can be observed at close range through remote cameras operated from the recently developed Scottish Seabird Centre near the harbour.
The town is served by North Berwick railway station. The North Berwick Line has provided a rail link with Edinburgh since the nineteenth century and the line, now operated by ScotRail, is still the principal transit link between the town and the capital.
Alot to see in ( North Berwick - UK ) such as :
Boat trips to the Bass Rock, Fidra and other islands.

North Berwick Law – A 613-foot (187 m) volcanic hill which rises above the town.
Beaches – One of North Berwick's main attractions, the beaches have golden sands and rocks.
Seacliff. Just to the east of the town, an entry fee is charged at this private and largely unspoilt beach and estate.
Golf – There are two golf courses in the town, the West Links and the Glen, or East Links.
The East Lothian Yacht Club hosts many national and international sailing events.
The John Muir Way, the East Lothian coastal path, passes through the town.
Tantallon Castle, a mostly ruined 14th-century fortress in the care of Historic Scotland, is 3 miles (5 km) east of North Berwick.
The Fringe by the Sea aims to be the best small scale, multi artform festival in Scotland, during one week in August.

Britain's Best Roads - A87 A890 & A896 - Eilean Donnan to Lochcarron (Part 3)
Wide flowing roads through the Scottish countryside!
This is an uncut look at one of the roads we travelled down while on The Retro Lab's Scottish Adventure, which was a two thousand mile road trip around Scotland in which we continued our mission to find Britain's (and maybe even the world's) best driving roads, also visiting many castles and other points-of-interest along the way, but it didn't go quite how we had planned....

Fife video 2! Another stunner in Scotland as we head to Claireville Alpacas for some craziness and then onto the Fife Coastal Path to explore Elie beach and Elie Ness Lighthouse. ⬇ More Below ⬇
Is there anything better than a sunny Scotland?? The Kingdom of Fife continues to impress on this visit, each day get's better and today was a real highlight of our trip.
Fife day 2 started off with a visit to Claireville Alpacas for an hour of absolute madness. We took the alpacas for a walk, fed them, hung out with their baby alpacas and then got to meet their crazy unique sheep. Check out Claireville Alpacas here for a hilarious and fun walk or event:
After some food at Bowhouse the sun came out so we hit up a highlight of Fife Coastal Path, Elie. The Elie beach is a magical and calm place, barely anyone there and it was stunning! This is like a 3 in 1 situation bonus, theres the beach, the Elie Ness Lighthouse and the Lady Janet Anstruther's Tower all within a few minutes of each other.
