Granada, Spain
Granada is a city and the capital of the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, at the confluence of four rivers.
Granada has many important examples of medieval architecture dating to the Moorish occupation of Spain. It’s best known for the Alhambra, a grand, sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompassing royal palaces, serene patios and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.
Granada is also well-known within Spain for the University of Granada which has about 80,000 students spread over five different campuses in the city.

Visit to Alhambra, Granada, Spain
No visit to Granada is complete without taking a day to explore the Alhambra. This video guides you through a typical trip including the Generalife area, Palace of Charles the V, the Alcazaba (fortress section) and the Nasrid Palaces. You need to reserve tickets in advance since it is so popular. I had success booking about 4 days in advance but if you want to visit on a weekend might need to look further out. You can also get tickets at some ATM's if you are already in Granada.

Where to line up to get tickets to the Alhambra in Granada. Most people take one of the bus options up from Plaza Nuevo but it's also a nice walk.

I shoot everything on my iPhone. I used to use iPhone 6s. Now, I use iPhone X/Xs 4k mode (once you go 4k, can't go back). Get the highest storage possible. If you're a true minimalist travel blogger, you'll need it

The Crazy Streets of Granada
“Cheap beer. Great tapas. And what happens in Granada, stays in Granada.” That’s what my friend told me when I asked why there are so many hen and stag parties in this town. Surrounded by vitality and frolic, I had to grab a quick impromptu video. Take three minutes and walk with me for a dose of your basic love-of-life in Granada, here in the south of Spain. It’s conviviality gone wild: ham hocks hanging like bovine ballerinas from the ceiling, free tapas with your drink...and it’s so easy for a tourist to get swept away in all the fun. Once again, I’m struck by how many of the best moments in travel are absolutely free.

The Alhambra, Flamenco, and Adventure in Granada! | STUDY ABROAD
This week we flew to Granada, Spain to visit the magnificent Alhambra!! In just four days, we dove into the Arabic influenced old quarter, danced through the streets, and made friends with locals at the Mirador de San Nicolas. Granada, Spain is by far one of my favorite places I have traveled so far, and you will see why!
