I wasn't overly impressed with this arcade, which is right next to the Ocean Beach Pleasure Park. The park brings in lots of children, so where ARE the video games? I think I counted 2 or 3? It was just jam packed with redemption machines and fruit machines. Not great at all.

An amusement arcade (often referred to as video arcade or simply arcade) is a venue where people play arcade games such as video games, pinball machines, electro-mechanical games, redemption games, merchandisers (such as claw cranes), or coin-operated billiards or air hockey tables. In some countries, some types of arcades are also legally permitted to provide gambling machines such as slot machines or pachinko machines. Games are usually housed in cabinets. The term used for ancestors of these venues in the beginning of the 20th century was penny arcades.Video games were introduced in amusement arcades in the late 1970s and were most popular during the golden age of arcade video games, the early 1980s. Arcades became popular with children and particularly adolescents, which led parents to be concerned that video game playing might cause them to skip school.

Video Game Arcade Tours - The Needles Landmark Attraction (Isle of Wight, UK)
This arcade has always been amusing to us! It literally sits on the finish line of Walk The Wight (The Isle of Wight Marathon!)... So after 26 miles of steady incline from Bembridge to Alum Bay, it's time to hop on the Dance Dance Revolution lol! It used to be Supernova, now it's out of order. This was in 2017, so I hope it's been fixed up because it'll be pure redemption otherwise!

The Needles is a row of three distinctive stacks of chalk that rise about 30m out of the sea off the western extremity of the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom, close to Alum Bay, and part of Totland, the westernmost civil parish of the Isle of Wight. The Needles Lighthouse stands at the outer, western end of the formation. Built in 1859, it has been automated since 1994.[5] The waters and adjoining seabed form part of the Needles Marine Conservation Zone and the Needles along with the shore and heath above are part of the Headon Warren and West High Down Site of Special Scientific Interest.[6][7]
The formation takes its name from a fourth needle-shaped pillar called Lot's Wife, that collapsed in a storm in 1764.[8] The remaining rocks are not at all needle-like, but the name has stuck.
The Needles were featured on the BBC Two TV programme Seven Natural Wonders (2005) as one of the wonders of Southern England.

Video Game Arcade Tours - Leisureland Arcade (Great Yarmouth, UK)
Jurassic Park, Walking Dead, GRID, MotoGP, Aliens... some newer video games right here! They haven't focused purely on redemption, which is always nice to see!! There are a lot of gamblers, crane games and redemption-based machines, but at least it's not a total wash out. Adding a Dance Dance Revolution would give it 5 stars from me! Gotta burn off those seaside fish and chips!

Mermaids have become some of the most popular mythical creatures in the world. Perhaps we can blame Disney for this newfound obsession. But unlike Ariel, people are certainly wanting to trade their legs for mermaid tails and take refuge in the ocean. It’s not like this with the loch ness monster or even the chupacabra. While mermaids are certainly the product of fiction, there are theories out there that have made people believe that perhaps there may be some truth in it all. For centuries, there have been stories of mermaid sightings that have made it into our history books. Yet, there are still sightings happening today. Thanks to technology and the Internet, we not only know when there is a mermaid sighting, but we can also debunk it. These days, it’s easy to throw on a mermaid tail and fool some unsuspecting bystanders. But that still doesn’t stop us from dreaming about becoming a mermaid one day!

Many of the arcades in the UK (Mainly seaside arcades) are called Amusement Arcades. They are typically packed with redemption-based machines with very few video games (As video games simply do not make money). I have placed the word Amusements in the title for these types of places as they are not true Video Game Arcades, but deserve some sort of mention. As gambling is legal in the UK, they tend to include fruit machines (aka slot machines) and various other things money-making games, so video games really take a back seat in places like these. They also really hate filming, I'm not sure why because it's free advertising, unless dodgy things are taking place lol
