Kathmandu Fun Park 2017 काठमाण्डाै फन पर्क २०७४
Kathmandu Fun Park 2017 काठमाण्डाै फन पर्क २०७४
Kathmandu Ramailo Mela (Kathmandu Fun Park) is the only amusement park in Kathmandu until 2012. Situated at the Exhibition Road, Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu, this is one of the best places to hang out for kids as well as others. Locally known as the Bhrikuti Mandap Mela or just as Fun Park, it caters fun to all. One thing is for sure, everyone who enters the premises enjoy to the fullest and no one returns disappointed.
The tickets are affordable with fifty percent discounts to the student and children. For those above 14, school identity card must be shown to get the discounts. The children of five years or below and the senior citizens above seventy get free entrance. After entering the gate, on the left hand side is a huge image of Mickey Mouse and beside it is a children club, namely Kathmandu Children Club where students could get study materials and story books. A little further are the game stalls that offer different games like shoot the balloon, hunt the animals, ball games, dart game, etc. and the one who successfully hits the mark receives a price. Nearby, is a laugh-house where many mirrors showing different shapes are kept. Opposite to it is a ghost-house where you get to experience of getting inside a haunted house. However, this house terribly fails to terrorize and scare the visitors. Nevertheless, there are many other exciting games and activities to energize you and let you have a world class fun.
Although the entrance for the students and children could be discounted and free, they, however, need to pay separately for each game they play. The ticket counters are installed in front of the game zones.
Swinging on the Columbus has always been thrilling and exciting experience even for them who have boarded it for hundredth time. The ferries-wheel is so big that you get chills only by a look at it. Also, the dragon coaster adds up to the fun and the cars fight are no less exciting. You could also row your boat by yourself or even skate on the platform there and not to forget a ride on a horse’s back. Yes! A real one. All these fun, be sure not to miss it when you come to Kathmandu.
And that’s not the end. There are many games for the children as well. Boat, mini-train, child-train (takes you around the park), boats, free-jump, skates, swings, basketball, horse ring, etc. are some of the games designed for the kids. Also, a children park, inside the fun park is created with swings and skates, skates designed in a way that looks like some sort of army training. Children are allowed to play whatever they desire inside the children park for thirty minutes after paying the charge of Rs. 70. Also a huge tub for water boat riding is installed near the main entrance of the Fun Park. That lets the children drive their own boat for Rs 50/5 minutes.
Moreover, the friendly cartoon characters walking along the park has become major attractions for children for taking photographs with them.
A new addition to the Fun Park is the Paint Battle Zone, where you could have the experience of fighting the real battle. What could be more fun that fighting the battle like your life depends on it and even if you get shot, you will not be dead and you could always come back later.
Also, the cafes and restaurants inside the Fun Park cater different variety of snacks and beverages. The stalls are installed that serves pani puris, chuski, and cotton candy. The bathroom inside the park is clean and well managed, however, during the time when the crowd is relatively more, one might have to wait on a line for a long time.
The time spend inside the Kathmandu Fun Park is unforgettable and one cannot keep the track of time once they enter the park and start trying games. Whether you play the various games or enjoy watching others play, or sit idly on a bench or take a trip around the park on a horse back or the child train, the possibilities are endless and you are surely going to have the best time of your life. Visiting the Kathmandu Fun Park is a decision you will not regret. So, go on and grab a ticket for yourself. Have a fun filled day.
Langtang Valley Trek in Nepal - Heaven on Earth | A Complete Trekking Details
Trek in Nepal to Langtang Valley has been successfully accomplished by a group of six ladies from Malaysia and the trek was organized by Mountain Ram Adventures. The group had one guide and six porters. I was very happy to have joined with this group even though i was not on the Kyanjin Ri with them. But i enjoyed the silence of the mountain while climbing up to Kyanjin Ri 4773m. Oh by the way, Langshisakharka Valley was an unforgettable. What a beautiful weather we had while walking on that valley, had an amazing experience.
Langtang valley trekking in Nepal, is the perfect option if you are looking for a short, relatively easy, teahouse trek. It is a great introduction to Himalayan trekking, with the added bonus of breathtaking mountain views right from day one. Situated just a day's drive North of Kathmandu, this excellent trek follows the narrow Langtang valley heading up towards the Langtang glacier and the Tibetan border. About one fourth of the park is covered in forests of oak, maple, rhododendron, chir pine, hemlock and spruce and is home to a wide variety of animal and bird life. It is possible to see the endangered Himalayan red panda, pika, muntjack, musk deer, Himalayan black beer, Himalayan tahr, ghoral, serow, rhesus monkey and the common langur. Many different bird species can also be spotted as this region is a major route for migratory birds.

BBC Documentary - Living in Nepal #Nomad
BBC Documentary - Living in Nepal
In this first episode, Kate travels to south west Nepal in search of the country's last community of nomads, the Raute people. Almost all of the Raute population has already settled in Nepal and India - just one group of 140 people remain living as nomads. These hunter-gatherers still move camp every few weeks through the steeply wooded hills and mountains in one of the poorest countries on the planet. Life for this last Raute group is increasingly tough, as they face pressure to settle from Nepal's government and hostility from the farmers on whose land they camp.
The Raute are famously private, and it proves a difficult task for Kate to get to know them. At the beginning they are wary, only engaging with her to ask for money. With perseverance and a rather unlikely rendition of Old MacDonald, Kate is slowly accepted into this tightly knit and proud community. But it's a demanding and emotional journey as she witnesses them move ever further from their ancient traditions and encounters first hand the hostility that the Raute face from mainstream Nepali society. As she helps them move camp twice, bearing heavy loads up punishingly steep hills, she comes face to face - and almost fist to fist - with the conflicts and contradictions facing Nepal's last nomads.

There are different Himalayan routes that you can take Helicopter tour like Everest Helicopter tour, Langtang Helicopter tour or Annapurna Helicopter tour to witness the vastness of the Himalayas of Nepal. Sights of the glistering snow peaks, beautiful green valleys, breathtaking view of barren land always stands out for the lifetime.

To find out more about helicopter tours in Mt. Everest check out
Here’s the entire trip:
We took off from airport leaving Kathmandu behind the same route that Sir Edmond Hilary and Tenjin Norge took to summit Mount Everest for the first time. Passing many hills, seeing many other mountain vides, looking at Jiri (Swtizerland of Nepal). And soon we passed Lamjura (3500m) we were able to witness high Himalayas of Everest region.
Flying over the same valley of Lukla, we were (we were excited to see even bigger and higher mountains like Summit peak, Thamserkhu and more. ) making our eyes even bigger to stair high mountains like summit peak, thamserkhu and many more. And suddenly, we were looking at Namche with its beautiful surrounding. Mt. Kwange and many more were taking Namche in their lap.
We were landing at Syngbuche for fueling but the Mt. Everest was already gazing at us. After stopping few minutes, we flew over Khumde and Khumjung village towards Mt. Everest. Oh a minute later we were lucky to connect out eyesight with Mt. Choyu (8188m) with its gigantic face.
The geographical situatedness of Everest region is itself amazing. It is located in the region ranging from Kanchangungha to Langtang.
Cholaste 6440m. Look at that O MY GOODNESS ! Lobuche peak 6119m, now lobuche village 4900m along with lobuche glacier and the top.
Flying over Khumbu glacier, towards Everest Base Camp and looking at Pumori mountain range is of course unforgettable, nothing beats it.
After visiting almost to the camp two of Everest climb, we turned back towards Kalapather with the view of Khumbu Icefall. By the way, we had a choice either land at Everest Base Camp (5365m) or Kalapathar (5400m), we chose Kalapathar for better view.
Standing at Kalapathar with 51 % oxygen level was not easy so we landed at Lakapathar for only few minutes. Ok after having panoramic view of Everest and more, we turned back towards Syangbuche now.
One of the best available options to get so close to the towering peaks of the Himalayas, almost to the touching distance, is definitely the Helicopter tour. Its best for those who have limited time but its great for everyone else if you look for Luxurious and at the same time thrilling experience.
Most importantly, there are different Himalayan routes that you can take Helicopter tour like Everest Helicopter tour, Langtang Helicopter tour or Annapurna Helicopter tour to witness the vastness of the Himalayas of Nepal. Ok now we are landing at Syangbuche. We will be taking a bit of time here to enjoy our breakfast with the view of Mt. Everest along with surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Oh its time to go back, but we still have one more hour to enjoy helicopter ride. Look at the view of Dudhkoshi river and villages like Monju, Phakding and Lukla and beautiful farming tares. Green hills, villages still overwhelm you before arriving in Kathmandu.

NEPAL - The ADVENTURE
We moved from the silence of the trek in the Kathmandu Valley to the caos of the capital, adrenaline rafting peace prayers of Buddhist monks in Nepal. For many travelers Nepal is a paradise on earth. Placed, geographically, between the Himalayas and the sweltering jungles of the plains of India, is the land of yak and the yeti, monasteries and mantra, and the snow-capped peaks of the Sherpas, temples and tigers, magic, the mystery. Since the 50 century, when Nepal opened to tourism, this small mountainous nation exerts on travelers an almost mystical fascination; has been reached by explorers and mountaineers who were trying to conquer the highest peaks of the earth, from hikers eager to test themselves on paths among the most challenging in the world, from hippies who wandered unhurriedly between cities and temples.

Welcome to Nepal! Nepal is a beautiful landlocked country. Though it is small, the country has variations in landscapes from high, rocky Himalayan terrain, to green lustrous hills and flat, fertile Terai plains. The rich culture, scenic beauty, and heartwarming hospitality make Nepal a must-visit country. There are many ways one can opt to explore Nepal. However, to explore the Himalayan region, the best option is trekking. The Himalayan country of Nepal lies in Southern Asia. To the north is the autonomous region of Tibet, in the People’s Republic of China, and to the south is India. Roughly the shape of a rectangle, Nepal has a length of 885 km and a width ranging from 145 km to 241 km. Nepal also contains the largest mountain range on earth, the Himalayan Mountains. This creates an elevation profile that is one of the most extreme in the world. It ranges from a mere 70 meters above sea level to the highest point on earth, Mt. Everest at 8,848 meters. Because of this huge disparity in elevation all within a distance of 150 km, Nepal contains enormous climatic variations from sub-tropical to alpine. It is popularly known in the world for its incredible diversity of ecosystems. The high peaks of the Himalayas in the north quickly drops down to thick tropical jungles teeming with wildlife in the south on the way to the Ganges floodplain. Between the two extremes are glittering glaciers, thundering rivers, forested hills and terraced slopes. Besides an incredibly rich and diverse ecology, Nepal also has amazing cultural traditions. You can wonder at the exquisite craftsmanship and artistic ingenuity of the people then and now as you view the temples and historical palaces full of architectural value. Part of the religious and cultural fabric of Nepal is their numerous national and religious festivals. These festivals and ceremonies have been celebrated since time and can be seen at all times of the year. Nepal is also famously known for the warm hospitality given to every guest. For all who come to this mysterious realm awaiting you is an atmosphere of welcome and warmth. Nepal is a breathtaking and enchanting land of myths and legends to come, see, and experience.
Flying into Tough Airports: Kathmandu, Nepal – AINtv
We’re at FlightSafety International’s Teterboro learning center to spend some time in a Falcon 900EX level D simulator to learn about how to fly into some of the toughest airports in the world.
Today’s challenging airport is Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, which is nestled high in the steep Himalayan terrain. The instrument approach itself adds challenging features, including multiple step-downs during the descent and varying glidepath angles. The missed approach procedure requires a minimum 5-degree climb gradient as well as a sharp turn to avoid nearby mountains.
In this video, we’ll do a takeoff and a landing. This is the fourth video in our series about challenging airports. If you missed them, check out videos about Aspen, Colorado ( Chambéry, France ( and London City in the UK (
