Bracken Tor is set in 4 acres of private grounds within Dartmoor national park and offers free parking, free Wi-Fi access, a self-catering kitchen and a TV lounge. Adventure Okehampton is a 20-minute walk away and offers a variety of outdoor activities rock climbing, watersports and archery. For keen cyclists, the property also has direct access onto the The Granite Way cycle route.
Some rooms feature a garden view and bed linen is provided. Rooms have either an en-suite or a shared bathroom and many have a seating area.
Originally built in 1908, Bracken Tor offers a garden, barbecue facilities and a shared kitchen. Other facilities offered include a shared lounge. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including cycling and hiking.
Situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, the hostel is less than a mile from Okehampton Railway Station. Okehampton Castle and Okehampton Golf Club are just over a mile away.

Gorging in Okehampton, Dartmoor National Park, Devon, England - 30 May 2011.
Guided by Jo' (she who must be obeyed, ... Ex-army Physical Training Instructor PTI, UK).
Those brave souls under her command were: Gemma, Amanda, Sarah & Alison (Shorty to those who know her).
The water was F R E E Z I N G (hee-hee) but I was dry!
Whilst filming (from the safety of the riverbank) my heart sank as Sarah slipped, thankfully she survived with only a bruised arm.
Fun was had by all, followed by a nice warm meal and a drink at a Restaurant in Bovey Tracey, Devon.
