Sechelt Rapids Sept 22, 2016
On a recent trip to BC’s Sunshine Coast I hiked into Skookcumchuck Narrows to watch the rapids that form on the flood tide.
I met Brenna and Gary from Adventure Paddle School (adventurepaddleschool.com) who traveled from Invermere to surf the wave.
BLove Wellness - Paddle Boarding Part 2
One thing I learned is there is life after divorce. As hard as it was going through it, I realized that a lot of people in my era had a common goal of finishing school, getting a job, getting married, having kids and living happily ever after. We never had a chance to become who we were supposed to be as individuals.

Food & Culture: Finding Awesome at Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort, BC
Follow Jenna Raider Skidmore on a culinary and cultural adventure at Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort in the Nelson and Kootenay Lake region.
Ainsworth has been known for its spectacular hot springs for generations, but, as of the late, the restaurant has also been sharing that spotlight. Check out this video as it explains how the current ownership of Ainsworth lies in the apt hands of the Yaqan Nukiy, Lower Kootenay Band, who have focused on bringing a First Nations flare and flavour to this thriving destination. The talented Chef, Aaron Day, cooks up a fusion feast for Jenna’s eyes with mouth-watering selections from the Ktunaxa Grill, featuring local and Indigenous ingredients. From Bannock Bruschetta to their Grilled Bison Ribeye and an array of seafood dishes, plus so much more, you will be planning your next trip to Ainsworth with more than that incredible hot spring cave on your mind!
