Sharp Edge Blencathra. Grade 1 scramble in the English Lake District.
Gaynor Sports of Ambleside teamed up with Mammut to tackle this classic grade 1 scramble up Blencathra in the Lake District. Scrambling is dangerous and should only be tackled by those with the skill and confidence to tackle such routes. We were testing the Pacific Crest Boot, the Crater Jacket, and the Bask Pant Trouser. The route is one of the most popular scrambles with walkers in the area, and offers great views of a popular mountain.

Passport And Visas Requirements To Enter The UK
Please note: Following the recent referendum vote for the UK to leave the European Union (EU), there are currently no changes in the way people travel to Britain. The following guidelines still apply:
If you're planning an adventure to the UK, depending on your nationality and your reason for visiting, you may need to organise a visa.
If you're an American, Canadian or Australian tourist, you'll be able to travel visa-free throughout the UK, providing you have a valid passport and your reason for visiting meets the immigration rules (link is external).
Citizens from some South American and Caribbean countries as well as Japan are also able to travel visa-free around the UK.
European Union citizens, non-EU member states of the EEA (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland), Switzerland, and members of the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) do not need a visa to enter the UK.
If you have any further visa questions visit the official UK government website.
Anyone that has any questions, please feel free the comment below and I will answer them for you.

Lake District Travel Vlog | Mountains | Great Langdale | Family Adventures
Welcome to my Lake District Travel Vlog from the mountains in Great Langdale. Includes breathtaking sunset footage and captures our family adventures during our two week holiday at Millbeck Farm.
The Lake District, in Cumbria, UK is a very special place for scenery, magical light and glorious mountains. It's has something for everyone, including families. We took our three young children, aged 5,7,9 up mountains, on lakes in our Kayak and they even fed the cows on the farm that we stayed at.
We spent two weeks staying in the Langdale Valley, at a farm called Millbeck Farm. I can thoroughly recommend this location and the property. Here's a link to their website:

Battle For The Lake District | Tales From National Parks | TRACKS
Subscribe to see more full documentaries every week:
In the Lake District, entrepreneur Mark Weir wants to build a giant zip-wire ride from the top of a beautiful, remote mountain. But does it have any chance of getting permission when there are over 400 objectors to it? Unfortunately a tragic accident during filming means that Mark will never see if his zip-wire becomes a reality.
The National Parks are Britain's most treasured landscapes, but they are increasingly becoming battlefields. They were designated 60 years ago as places for everyone, but is that still the case? In this series the award-winning film-maker Richard Macer spent a year amid conflicts in three different parks, on a journey to discover who they are really for.
In each park the stories are very different, but there is something that unites them all - fiercely divided communities who are prepared to fight in order to preserve their right to enjoy the countryside. In each film, Macer has secured access to the National Park Authority - an organisation which looks after the landscapes and decides upon planning matters. In all of these stories the Park Authorities have a key role to play in trying to find amicable solutions to the problems which confront them.
TRACKS publishes unique, unexpected and untold stories from across the world every week.

This Is The Lake District
Having spent years photographing the Lake District for our holiday cottage company we thought it was time to ramp things up and create Time Lapse and video movies.
Shot by Jack Serginson and Ollie Gough with a bit of help from myself I think they have produced something quite special, highlighting Cumbria's Lake District and showing why this stunning area is the perfect holiday destination. Look out for re-edits and new films. Big thanks to Cam, Ram and Set from Reforest Records for running out a great sound track at short notice. Oh and by the way, in their urgency to get the film up before disappearing to Norway for their next great time lapse adventure, they made a few spelling typos - Tut Tut boys, I guess I should have checked.
If you want to visit the Lake District then do see our Visit England inspected quality Lake District Cottages see our website at - you won't be disappointed.
If you wish to use any part of the movie please contact John Serginson at The Lakeland Cottage Company Tel 015395 38180
