Berkeley Marina, Berkeley, CA
Berkeley Marina is located in the westernmost portion of the City of Berkeley, California.
It is the harbour used by many of the Bay Area's yachtsmen and yachtswomen. When including the surrounding parks, Berkeley Marina is also one of the largest urban greenspaces in Bay Area.
Aside from the yacht harbour and the green parks, there are also areas to fish, and an adventure playground for children. The fishing pier also provides a grand view of the San Francisco Bay.

5 Top-Rated Places to Visit in Berkeley, USA
Renowned for its prestigious university and appreciated for its offbeat Bohemian spirit, Berkeley is a stimulating place to visit. The university's inspiring Neoclassical buildings stand loftily in a woodsy hilltop location overlooking the San Francisco Bay. Although this idyllic setting feels completely removed from the world, the campus was the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement and the renegade hippie counterculture of the 1960s. Chaotic and bustling Sproul Plaza continues to be an intense scene of student activity: Students, social activists, and drummers still gather here to express themselves in ways that are impossible to ignore. Besides being an intellectual center, Berkeley is a hub for entertainment and gourmet dining. The local organic food movement began here in the '70s with Chez Panisse, a delightful French-California style bistro that's an obligatory stop for foodies. Tourists can enjoy a delicious meal in the Gourmet Ghetto and then watch a world-class performance at one of Berkeley's award-winning theaters. Nature lovers also have a good reason to visit: The city's gorgeous parks and botanical gardens offer spectacular floral displays and stunning panoramic views. Let's see five best places to visit in Berkeley, California.
1. U.C. Berkeley
2. Gourmet Ghetto
3. Lawrence Hall of Science
4. Tilden Park
5. Botanical Garden

Weird Playground in Raymond, WA Safe for Children age 2 to 12
I am stunned by the appearance of this sculpture which is used as a playground. It is very unique from anything else I have seen before. I think they had good intentions with it. But it seems to be more about appearance than functionality.
There isn't much a kid can do with this. There aren't many things to swing on here. I think people may get bored of this quite quickly.
5 Best Theme Parks in Northern California | US Travel Guide
5 Best Theme Parks in Northern California
What would family travel be without theme parks? The laughs! The screams! The thrills! The chills! These destinations are some of the only places where families are guaranteed to have fun. Even if your kids aren’t big enough for rides, parks always offer something that will keep little ones smiling.
Residents of San Francisco often suffer from what I like to call theme-park envy. The two most iconic parks—Disneyland® and LEGOLAND® California—are located in the southern part of the state. Thankfully, for those of us within a two-hour drive of the Bay Area, there are smaller alternatives that are just as fun.
Let's see five theme parks in Northern California, United States.
1. Fairyland
2. Fairytale Town
3. California’s Great America
4. Discovery Kingdom
5. Safari West

Koenraad Brosens: Don Quixote Fever in European Tapestry
Charles Coypel’s masterpiece—the focus of the special exhibition Coypel’s Don Quixote Tapestries: Illustrating a Spanish Novel in Eighteenth-Century France—is one of many tapestry sets woven in Europe during this period. By locating the knight errant in the pictorial and decorative possibilities of the medium, as well as in the feverish rivalry characterizing the industry, Brosens addresses the basic question, “Why so many?”
Koenraad Brosens is a professor in the History of Art Department at the University of Leuven, Flanders, Belgium. Among the many books he has written on the subject of Flemish and European tapestries are European Tapestries in the Art Institute of Chicago (2008) and Rubens: The Constantine Series (2011). He is a frequent lecturer at universities and museums in Europe and the United States and co-editor of the Studies in Western Tapestry series. An elected member of the Royal Academy of Archaeology and Art History of Belgium and of the Young Academy-Flanders, Belgium, he was also a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania and the Peter Paul Rubens Chair at the University of California, Berkeley.
This lecture was recorded Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at The Frick Collection, New York
