The beautifully appointed rooms and suites offer the ideal place to escape from it all...and relax and unwind. You can see the sea from most of them and almost touch it from the balconies in rooms 9 and 10. And if you are looking for space, our beach suites offer some of the most spacious hotel accommodation in the country. You can also come and sample some fantastic seafood in our restaurant overlooking the bay. Devons favourite restaurateur, Mitch Tonks, has written our menu and it is packed with great flavours from fish caught just off the coast. Pop in for some shrimps on toast, crostini of Salcombe crab or roasted king prawns with garlic and fennel ...there is something to tempt everyone. Alternatively, you might just like to stop by for a cocktail on the terrace. Joe and his team will be more than happy to mix you a sling or a fizz...

Salcombe Harbour & Hope Cove - Micro Adventure From The Air
Wizzing down the A38 in scorching summer weather we were on an adventure to the beautiful coastal town of Salcombe, and the idyllic postcard perfect Hope Cove. With turquoise waters and cloudless skies, I let Dobby the Drone do the talking in showing just what you have waiting for you on your Micro Adventure to these south west escapes.
Hope Cove is a small seaside village within the civil parish of South Huish in South Hams District, Devon, England. It is located some 5 miles west of Salcombe and 5 miles south-west of Kingsbridge. It has two beaches, and is sheltered by the headland of Bolt Tail. Salcombe is a popular resort town in the South Hams district of Devon, south west England. The town is close to the mouth of the Kingsbridge Estuary, mostly built on the steep west side of the estuary. It lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town's extensive waterfront and the naturally sheltered harbour formed by the estuary gave rise to its success as a boat and shipbuilding and sailing port and, in modern times, tourism especially in the form of pleasure sailing and yachting. The town is also home to a traditional shellfish fishing industry.

Spirit of Salcombe Adventures | The Highlights
The Spirit of Salcombe Adventures takes Salcombe Gin’s co-founders Angus and Howard on a journey from Salcombe to The Solent over the course of 8 days in a custom-made rib, courtesy of Ribeye Boats. Along the way they do a series of events and activities with some of our favourite partners in Salcombe, Dartmouth, Torquay, Babbacombe, the River Exe, Lyme Regis, Sandbanks and finally the Solent.
With a beautiful Bentley from HR Owen Specialist Cars following them on land, they popped in to see so many friends along the way including; Salcombe Harbour Hotel & Spa, South Sands Hotel, Royal Dart Yacht Club, Dart Marina Hotel and Spa, Cary Arms, River Exe Cafe, HIX Oyster & Fish House, Rick Stein, Sandbanks, Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa and finally the iconic No Mans Fort by Solent Forts. Along the way they also found time to do some wakeboarding with Exewake, a little paddleboarding, kitesurfing and cocktail making along the way.

3/32 From Falmouth to Salcombe – The Adventure Begins
So on a flat, calm April afternoon, we left our home port of Falmouth and headed east up the channel on the greatest adventure of our lives. A voyage around the coasts of Britain and Ireland.
If there could have been a good omen for our trip then this is it - a pod of dolphins that just wanted to play. What more could anyone want?
Wow! Two together, look at that! They are belly to belly! How was that then John?
That was amazing! Dolphins everywhere! Off the bow, riding the wave, in the distance, jumping, everywhere! For about 15 minutes we have just had dolphins with us, all around us, amazing! What a brilliant first day!
What do you think they were?
I don’t know, they are really small. They look like Spinner Dolphins don’t they. Really small, they weren’t the big Atlantic dolphins. Maybe they’re Porpoises? I really don’t know.
First stop Salcombe, just three hours due east, passing the Eddystone light. There have been lighthouses on this rock for over 300 years. This is the fourth. Alongside there’s the stump of the third, Smeaton’s Tower, which has been rebuilt on the Hoe at Plymouth.
So it’s about 8pm in the evening on the first day of the journey. We’re in Salcombe and we’re just going to go and get a Pizza.
Well we got up early this morning it’s still not even 7am. Beautiful morning, good sea, very very slight breeze. The fuel barge here at Salcombe isn’t going to be open for at least another hour so we thought we’d get on. We’re going to Dartmouth - by the time we get to Dartmouth the fuel barge there should be open. Maybe grab a bit of breakfast there, grab a paper and then we are going to head across Lyme bay straight east as far as we get during the day. Should be a good one.
We often visit Salcombe, but rarely go beyond, so as we head out past Start Point, it feels like the adventure is now really beginning. By the end of today we hope to have already gone further along the south coast than we have ever taken the boat before.

Salcombe, Devon (UK) Road trip
We had such a great day out to Salcombe in Devon which is in the UK. The UK has some amazing places to visit. I left the bickering in the video as we are no different from any other family. Watch our road trip!
The video shows the area, the shops, harbour and beach. We stopped off and had Lunch at the South Sands Hotel which I show and how the food is presented. It was really windy on our day out but hopefully you will enjoy our visit.
I love making my videos and showing the world. I would so love your support. If you could like, share or subscribe it would mean a lot to me.
Wish I took the bit out at the beginning before uploading. One of my first ever videos.
