Sedona Arizona | The Most Beautiful Place on Earth?
The city of Sedona, Arizona claims to be The Most Beautiful Place on Earth, and we just had to check it out for ourselves.
Sedona is located about 2 hours North of the Phoenix, Arizona area and has a slightly cooler climate than most of its desert neighbors. It is a land of rustic red sandstone found nowhere else on Earth. Many people even claim that there are many Vortices (plural for vortex) surrounding the city area, and that draws a lot of spiritualists to the area.
Archaeologists believe that Sedona has been inhabited for up to 13,000 years by various tribes of people. Some even settled in the area permanently and build dwellings on the sides of the cliffs. You can visit some of those ancient ruins today.
In this video we set out to visit the following locations:
Downtown Sedona
Bell Rock
Red Rock State Park
Coconino National Forest
Honanki Ruins
Chapel on the Rock
Devil's Bridge
Amitabha Stupa Peace Park
MOST INSTAGRAMABLE AREA OF AMERICA? Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon | USA Roadtrip
On our American RV roadtrip, we thought one of the most Instagrammable areas of America was Northern Arizona! Places like Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend, and Antelope Canyon are some of the most beautiful places in the United States. We also realized that pictures can't capture the full experience of what it's like being in a place, for better or for worse. :)

Sycamore Canyon Wilderness 4x4 Tour
Complete details about this trail and others can be found at
Sycamore Canyon Wilderness northwest of Sedona, Arizona is one of the most breathtaking regions in the southwestern United States. It's a protected region where you can only hike but there are numerous points where 4x4's can access right up to the boundary for incredible vistas or ancient cliff dwellings.
Todd and I were leading a group from meetup.com and we had quite the variety of vehicles for this easy route. We met up north of Phoenix and caravaned to the Gold King Mine in Jerome, where we aired down for 68 miles of dirt. After the very dusty road through Perkinsville, we headed up the freshly grated trail leading to the old cabin and eventually the cliff dwellings.
Todd and I had run the trail two weeks prior and it was an actual 4x4 trail, but this time it had been completely grated for 2wd. Not sure how I feel about that one. Anyway, it sure saved us a bunch of time going out and back.
We stopped for lunch at the old Railroad Draw cabin and then headed over to hike into the wilderness to the dwellings. The hike is a quick 400 vertical feet and on the backside of the ridge overlooking Sycamore Canyon. Believe me, it's well worth the hike but it does require a little bit of rock scrambling to reach the dwellings.
With the trail improvement?, we were able to take our time working our way up to the tall pines of Kaibab National Forest. As planned we landed early at my marked group site. Everyone picked a spot under the trees and had dinner before joining the group around the campfire.
We hit the trail at 8am on Sunday for another long day on the dirt. Our first stop was a little lake before heading out to the amazing Sycamore Point. You have to go see this place, it's amazing. And just like everywhere else so far, we had the place to ourselves.
Heading back out to one more point of interest along Sycamore Canyon. The start of the canyon is just as amazing as the others plus there were some rock climbers hanging off the cliffs as we were walking around. It's a really short walk down to the giant waterfall (usually dry). The last stop on our canyon tour was the vertigo-inducing Volunteer Canyon. It literally just drops off into what seems like forever.
We had been right on schedule all weekend and it continued to allow us to take our time for the last several miles of pines that dropped us right out along Highway 17, just south of Flagstaff.
I would like to thank all the attendees who came out for a weekend adventure to remember. Also special thanks to Todd for the support and taking up the very dusty back of the group.

Zipline at Grand Canyon West, Arizona, USA - Unravel Travel TV
Grand Canyon West continues to add new experiences to thrill the more than 1 million guests who annually visit the West Rim of one of the World's Seven Natural Wonders. The latest addition to the home of Grand Canyon Skywalk? A pair of epic ziplines that will let adrenalin-seeking adventurers soar nearly 1,000 feet above the floor of a side canyon located amid the West Rim's matchless scenery.
The Zipline at Grand Canyon West, which opened January 2, 2018, consists of two quad ziplines, each with four steel cables running side-by-side in parallel formation, to allow groups to soar together nearly 1,000 feet above the floor of the canyon – at speeds approaching 50 miles per hour! The first of the two lines measures about 1,100 feet in length. The second line, set at a steeper grade, propels guests on a 2,100-foot-long downhill adventure of a lifetime, complete with views of nearby Quartermaster Canyon and rushing scenery above and below.
We've had tremendous success with Grand Canyon Skywalk. Now we're taking the West Rim to a new level of excitement, said Candida Hunter, the chairwoman of the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation Board of Directors. The Zipline at Grand Canyon West gives our guests a unique adrenaline surge that will be one of the longest and most exciting ziplines found anywhere in the world.
We see the zipline as the perfect complement to the exciting experiences we offer already, from venturing out on Skywalk 4,000 feet above the Canyon to the Hualapai Ranch tour to ecotourism experiences like the Colorado River tours offered by Hualapai River Runners and visits to Guano Point.
The Zipline at Grand Canyon West will be able to accommodate an estimated 350,000 visitors annually. Ticket prices have been set at $89 per person for adult visitors, with tickets available on site only. Currently, the zipline will be open Tuesday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.
The $89 ticket includes a trip down both ziplines and the Hualapai Legacy Day Pass (a value of nearly $50). The Legacy ticket provides guests with a Hualapai Visitation Certificate, the opportunity to meet and speak with Hualapai tribal ambassadors, and shuttle transportation between the parking area and viewpoints at Eagle Point, Guano Point and the Hualapai Ranch. Guests who have a Hualapai Legacy pass can add on a Zipline tour on site for an additional $40. A Skywalk tour is available at additional cost.
The Zipline at Grand Canyon West will accommodate guests between 90 and 275 pounds. Built in partnership with Skyline Ziplines, the global leader in zipline development, the experience uses ¾-inch steel cable with 58,000 pounds of strength. Skyline's decade-long record of success includes ziplines built or retrofitted in New Zealand, Haiti, West Virginia, at the San Diego Zoo, at Yellowstone in Wyoming and for La Jolla Band of Luiseno Indians in California. The company has installed over 100,000 feet of zipline cable worldwide.
This zipline experience represents a significant seven-figure investment for the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation and the Hualapai Tribe, said Hunter, the chairwoman. The revenue it will bring, the boost to the regional economy and the jobs it creates will make it more than worth the investment. When you couple the zipline with our Skywalk and Colorado River experiences, this is a set of adventures visitors can't get anywhere else in the world.

No Pavement: Overlanding Phoenix to Crown King to Payson! Part 2 - Ultimate Adventure 2017
Part 2 of Ultimate Adventure 2017. The standard Ultimate Adventure formula has typically been one hardcore off-road day followed by a long, slogging road day to get to the next trail system. However, for UA2017 even our road days required low-range. With another incredibly hot day in store, we began Day Two high-tailing it out of Phoenix, Arizona, into the outlying mountains and began climbing in elevation. As the trail continued the scenery got better, the terrain got a bit more challenging, and mechanical issues began to manifest themselves. By the time we got to our camp that night, we had plenty of repairs to make from rebuilding a steering box to bending suspension links back into shape, welding stuff back together, and more. Day Three began early and promised an equally slim amount of pavement as Day Two as we hopped on the DeSoto Mine Trail. With rocky ledges, steep switcbacks, and killer scenery, the hot, dusty trail continued until many of the vehicles were on vapors. After a quick fuel stop, we were back on dirt and more overlanding, taking the Great Western Trail to our final destination for the day. In the end, this would the longest off-road day in Ultimate Adventure history. But it’s not over and the rest of UA2017 would see more firsts for this event.

ABOUT US:
We’re traveling full time, living on our own terms and showing you the up-close-and-personal details of us figuring it out along the way. Sometimes it’s about navigating big, life-altering decisions. Sometimes it’s about navigating the seemingly lawless free-for-all that is driving in Hanoi. It’s moments of triumph and moments of panic. The good, the bad, the ugly – and most importantly, the real and real funny.
We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem. We believe the world’s a more interesting place when people reject convention in favor of what they actually care about. This is us putting that idea to the test – one budget spreadsheet, RV renovation and mountain-peak drone video at a time.
Moving to Yuma Arizona
This is a video for those considering moving to Yuma or living in Yuma. Yuma is located on the southern border of the United States with Mexico. Yuma is a city known for its military presence and retirement communities.
Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. Sedona Arizona what to do on Vacation Visiting
Hold phone portrait and expand view. 1080P
My wife and I visited Sedona Arizona and I wanted to share it so people can get an idea of what you can do out there. We had an amazing time and plan to always return when able.
We stayed in Sedona at The Inn Above Oak Creek which overlooks Oak Creek in the back yard. You are close to everything at this location and in your own part of Sedona when entering the front door. There is a lower courtyard area that you can relax in during the evenings when you need a break. The courtyard has private seating that is waterfront as well as a hammock and gas grill that you are free to use. Very clean, very nice staff and well equipped.
The balloon ride was taken through Northern Light Balloon Expeditions. The pilots are very experienced and really enjoy what they do. This is the full experience of taking the balloon out, getting it prepped and taking off into flight as well as recovery. The recovery is done by crews that follow you. Once you have landed and the balloon is recovered you receive breakfast and there is a traditional toast. The flight happens early in the morning when winds are calm and the sun is coming over the horizon. The flight is over the Coconino National Forest we saw Mule Deer, Owls, Jack and Cottontail rabbits.
Horse riding took place at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood Arizona. This is located in the Park and done by a very friendly family through Trail Horse Adventures. You are looked after very well and the activities are very professionally done. We took the 1 hour ride where next time we will take the 1.5 hour ride. It was really enjoyable going through the river twice and riding through the forest.
The Canyon which has the red wavy walls in the video is called the Lower Antelope Canyon in Page Arizona. We took the tour through Ken's Lower Antelope Canyon Tour. The guides are very helpful in making the climb into the canyon safe. There are limitations on what you can take with you so check out their website. Booking in advance is a plus as it helps with standing in line since this is a very popular tour. The guides will also help you take photos so you don't end up with just selfie style photos on the trip.
Also in Page Arizona and 10 mins from Antelope Canyon is lake Powell. Lake Powell is a reservoir that in the 450 ft deep part of the canyon makes a water supply for three states. At Antelope Point Marina they offer boat tours up into the narrow water filled parts of the canyon. Its truly amazing and a good time.
West of Lake Powell and Antelope Canyon about 15 minutes there is Horseshoe Bend. This is a bend in the river which carved out this amazing horseshoe shape canyon located in Marble Canyon. Out of all the amazing sites we visited this was in the top three, it's breathtaking.
The meteor crater that we visited is located over an hour east of Flagstaff Arizona in Meteor Crater National Park. Its the worlds most preserved Meteor Crater in the world. The tour we took tells about the scientist that worked many years to prove it was actually a crater instead of a volcano gas explosion. There are a lot of volcanoes in Arizona. They also explain all about the impact, debri fields and the effects of the blast. This is a great experience.
Just west of the Meteor Crater is an exit and place called Two Guns. There is a ghost town just off the exit which is remnants of old route 66 to include a small stretch of the original road. Behind the Route 66 buildings is a historic ghost town called Canyon Diablo. There is an actual canyon named that but also a town which still stands in ruins. If you look up its history you will find many stories about its amazing history, to my wife and I it's history attracted us to it. This is not a park. doesn't have bathrooms or available food or water. This is just a ghost town in the desert although it's filled with history. When you are coming back to Sedona from the the Meteor Crater you can visit Flagstaff which has many great restaurants as well as attractions like the Hopi Indian ruins which are free to enter.
In the video we visited many places in Red Rock State Park located in Sedona, here are some of the names: Oak Creek Canyon, Robbers Roost, Coconino National Forest, Cathedral Rock, Oak Creek, Airport Mesa, Indian Point, and Boynton Canyon. We also visited Vortex sites located at Airport Mesa, Cathedral Rock and Boynton Canyon.
The cliff dwelling we went to see is south of Sedona called Montezumas Castle. This was a great experience and worth the drive out.
The restaurant called Haunted Hamburger in the video is located in Jerome. That is a history filled town with amazing view and experiences you could only have in Jerome.
